  1. Sending you and your Mom love, light and prayers . . . *HUGS* for you, Cotton! I hope you feel better soon. I've always heard "shadows of shattered dreams," too, and 'Well, well." Anybody wanna ask Clay about those lyrics in person? Heeeee. I bet he'll never answer directly. He loves making us guess and speculate.
  2. BWAH!!! Very funny, cindilu. And the new banner is scrumptious!
  3. Thanks, claytonic! Great idea. I made a resolution at the beginning of this year to give or throw something away every weekend, and I've pretty much been able to do that. I've given away lots of stuff to organizations that come to the house, although I've never used freecycle. And I've thrown away stuff that's just plain junk, that I should have gotten rid of a long time ago. I'm going to continue this resolution next year, because it's really helped to do a little at a time rather than tackling the problem all at once.
  4. I'm impressed, Jamar! Are you exhausted? I'm dreading the day we move from our current house. We have sooooo much stuff, much of it belonging to our girls. Like you, I keep trying to get rid of stuff, but it seems to multiply! Good luck on your move! Hopefully these grins are big enough for ya, clayzycoffin! ETA: Maybe ldyj has some more! It's always good to see Clay grin!
  5. Thanks for bringing over the recaps, lucky! Sounds like Spam was a scream over the weekend. I'm glad to hear that Clay was in good voice, and having fun! Tom and Rick are really pushing the envelope. They must love hearing the audience laugh when they do such outrageous things!
  6. Just had to post that pic again. YUMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heeee - Under the covers with Clay? Now that's a concept I KNOW I'd enjoy!!
  7. Careful on those roads, all you FCAers in snowy places! Muski, I'm recording the music for the musical at my daughter's school. They pay me to come to some of the rehearsals, but can't pay me enough to be at all of the rehearsals, so I'm recording the music for the entire musical. They will use the recordings for rehearsal when I'm not there. The musical this year is 'Back to the 80's', so it's all 80's music. We are doing songs like Love Shack, Man in the Mirror, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Centerfold, etc. I'm recording a lot of it on an electric piano because it sounds so much better. Last year I was in the pit with the rest of the orchestra, but this year I'll be playing in a band, and we are a part of the cast on stage! I'm gonna have to wear 80's clothes! My daughter has decided not to be in the musical this year due to time commitments - she is busy with Advanced Placement classes and college auditions - so I'm in the musical, but she's not! I think it's hilarious that I'm in her high school musical, and she's opting out of it.
  8. I'm so glad Clay is feeling up to performing tonight. I know how much he believes in "the show must go on" but sometimes the body says STOP! I join you bottle in lighting a candle for the stage door. New pictures would be nice. I've been working my ass off lately but it's all about my trip. I want to go and paint the town red? Pink? purple? I just want to be able to do whatever I want to do include see Clay a few times. Hey ClazCoffin - I'm fine other than a hot flash or two. heh. I think you mean Muski and her dental adventures. Claylove thanks for the photo of the foster-aiken clan. I love seeing that close up of Parker. Gibby... hope your day went well! YAY it's Friday night! I'll add another YAY!!!! for Friday night! And it's especially good, since Clay is performing! You'll certainly deserve that Spam trip once you get there, Couchie! You've been working really hard. Thanks for asking about my day. I recorded 10 of 23 songs that need to be recorded. And I had to learn them before actually recording them. So, I'm making progress. I'm not gonna say how many times I started a couple of those songs, and threw out the bad tracks! CG, I'm happy you get to go to Spam again! I'm jellus (like someone else on the board - heee!), but I'm happy for you too.
  9. Nice to see you posting here, Caro! That looks like a lovely calendar. Thanks for cleaning up the Parker/Aiken family picture, Claylove! All three of them are so purdy. Groan - I have to record a BUNCH of music today. It's so difficult to get everything just right, all of the way through each song. Sometimes I've played everything nearly perfectly, and get to the end of the song, and goof up! Arrrgggg! Wish me luck.
  10. That's ridiculous, Fear! But not all organized religion is like that. I know many Democrats in my church! And there was next to no mention of the presidential race by the pastor, for which I was very happy. It was better for the pastor not to take sides, at least in public, since it can be such a divisive issue.
  11. He (Parker) looks so much chubbier than the first/People pics. He is SO CUTE!!! He has that in common with his Dad, you know. It's great to see Parker looking so much chubbier! I thought he looked a little on the skinny side in his earlier pictures. And I love the reddish hair! He's a real cutie. Like his dad! Gibby we are a lot alike until I got to the multiple intelligences--very similar personality type though! Wanda's personality test Wow, we are similar! Even the percentages are pretty close. Looks like we have several INTJs on the board!
  12. It's cool that Clay shared the results of his personality test! I'm not too surprised by his results. I've taken the Myers-Briggs several times. The interesting thing about personality type is that it's not static. The percentages, and even types, can change a bit over time. The last time I took the Myers-Briggs I was an INFJ, and today I'm an INTJ. I'm almost completely evenly divided between feeling and thinking, which is probably why I may have changed from the F to the J. So, my results are here. INTJ, Strategist, Intellectual, Musical, Intrapersonal, and Kinesthetic. It's a cool site! Good luck, jamar! Cagney, I'm so sorry. It sounds like he was a wonderful man. I hope that you have a lot of supportive, comforting people around you right now.
  13. Thanks for the links, claytonic & couchie! Hubby and I laughed about the 'obsessed supporters' video, and enjoyed hearing more about Obama's mother. We get Newsweek at home, and the entire story is in the most recent issue. Whew, it's long! But it's excellent and fascinating reading. I also have very much enjoyed watching a couple of Obama youtubes I hadn't watched before. Obama came onto the national scene in 2004 at the DNC when he made the keynote address, which is . I can see why that speech got Democrats to stand up and take notice of him! A much more serious, but amazingly intelligent and compassionate speech, is here. This is the only speech in which Obama addressed race during his presidential campaign, and it is quite insightful and inspiring!
  14. Thanks, anna! I high-tailed it over there. I'd love a Spamalot DVD, so hopefully he can pursue that idea. There are some logistical issues, but maybe he can figure out a way to overcome them. Another couple of suggestions are that we take pics of him either in the wedding dress, or in Rick's YMCA outfit. BWAH!!!!!
  15. Apparently there's no Clay on ET tonight. However, he looks HAWT in this Broadway TV Channel Ad (the link takes you to CU). The picture's not very clear, because Suz had to film the TV to get it. But he still looks fantastic! ETA: Here's a clearer, longer version, thanks to Paulette. Most of Clay's parts are at the end, so be patient with the non-Clay Spamalot footage. It just doesn't look right to have someone else play Sir Robin!
  16. Bringing this over from CV - what a huuuuge banner! And look who's front and center, and named as an international superstar!
  17. *HUGS* for aikim. :big hug: I'm thrilled with the results!! But I think that the challeges facing Obama are HUGE, and it will take time for things to turn around. That would be true even if McCain had been elected. I am going to try to be patient, because we didn't end up this way overnight, and it won't change overnight, either. And in the meantime, I'm going to continue to celebrate this guy!!
  18. You're so welcome, ldyj! Enjoy it, and have a great time on your vacation!
  19. I looked a couple of minutes ago, and same sex marriage seems to have lost in three states - California, Florida and Arizona.
  20. I have the mp4 made, and am uploading it now. Be back in a few with a link. ETA: The link is here. Let me know if you have any trouble with it - there are several different kinds of mp4s, so I can convert it to a different kind if it doesn't work for your ipod. Enjoy!
  21. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for ldyj!!! And it was a great question! I just watched the clip - he's sooooo cuuuuute! And funny, too. I wanna get this from the vault and make a screencap of the look on Clay's face when he answers the 'Dancing with the Stars' question. BWAH!!! Speaking of pics, here are a few untagged ones from the Friar's Roast. He looks so handsome in the first pic!
  22. Well, my family and I are all parked in front of the TV, each of us on our own laptops. We are all perusing websites with red, blue and gray maps of the U.S., keeping each other updated on the progress of the results. I'm also very interested in the results of the local referendums and amendments. In Colorado we had an amendment about "when life begins", which if it passes, could bring legal challenges to abortion. And then there's the gay marriage propositions in California, Arizona and Florida, another abortion amendment in South Dakota, and various medical marijuana and stem cell referendums. A lot of interesting issues are being voted on this year! claytonic, it's interesting to hear that you're following this election so closely Down Under! Is the news coverage looking at how each candidate might effect your relationship with the U.S.?
  23. Hey, Muski, thanks for posting about your travel adventures! You tell a good story, so it's been fun to read about them. Hopefully you've actually had as much fun in your travels as I've had reading about them. And best of luck with your conference! Just watched this awesome and fun montage - I recommend it highly! Heeeee - a little bit of the montage made me think about Bottle. And, I was reminded of this, too:
  24. Thanks for the Spam report, aikim! It's great that he's still having fun with his part (heeeeeee), and that he did the stage door again. It makes me happy to think of him having a great time with his fellow actors, and enjoying being with fans afterwards!
