  1. Well...I have worked on earlier versions of MAC's before... (WTH heck happened to Window Shades?) ...so it's not too bad. So far the worst part is the close/minimize/open commands are on the right side of the window instead of the left and the cut/copy/paste using the command key instead of the control key. I'm also still learning just where to find things when I accidently remove them from my dock. Hee. I had to download some plugins to get the mlb stream to work but the mlb site spelled that out for me pretty well. OTOH my ipod acts like it's come back to it's home planet or something. Sheesh. I don't think it's ever charged that long.
  2. I am looking at the new iMacs....... I have the eMac now. ..... which iMac do you have....... and do you have Leopard?? It looks to be quite different. I have the 20 inch, 2.6/2GB w/chrome finish. I have Mac OS X Version 10.5.6. It's my first Mac so I'm not sure if that's Leopard or not. From the website it looks like it. My daughter purchased one last year and she loves hers too. I knew I was a goner the minute I walked into the Apple Store. Hee. Although I was really very happy with my Dell, I'm just so over Windows. eta James Ingram, I Don't Have the Heart just came up on my party shuffle...
  3. I just re-upped. I decided to let mine expire first. Had no problems except it says my package is "backordered" ... *sniff* --- I'll be ordering the CD. Probably closer to when it's released. --- Loving my iMac! --- We had another frikkin "snow event" last year. *sigh* I'm so sick of winter. --- I'm going to have to do the facebook thing I think. My baseball board group is sorta shifting over there. We're already 3 games into Spring Training! And I now also have the MLB Network! Squeeeee! Harold Reynolds! I don't ever have to watch Eastcoast Sports Promotion Network's Baseball Tonight and that doofus Kruk ever again! That makes me happy Yeah. It don't take much.
  4. Next time this happens hit CTRL Z (or on Apple Command Z) It's a fairly universal "undelete" command. As long as you stay in the same working window it should take you back through your last (I forget how many) keystrokes. Over the years it's helped to resurect many of my posts. Lucky for you guys...
  5. Well, I'm glad they're gone. 'Nuff said.
  6. Well...you could always wait and see how it all shakes out?
  7. Hopefully my last post on the mini-pc. I just bought an iMac! eta....this edit brought to you by Apple!
  8. Actually, it depends on the gerbil. E. had a very social albino gerbil named Whiskers. If you wore a shirt with a breast pocket she would crawl in and curl up and go to sleep. We had more hamsters who bit than gerbils. Especially the Siberian Dwarfs. But we also had a very very social Teddy Bear Hamster named Stinky. She would get up on her hind legs and paw the air when you walk by her crate. She loved to be handled. Don't know nuttin' 'bout no guinea pigs tho. Except they are much larger than either hamsters or gerbils. I know people who have kept pet rats and they love them also. ==== I dreamed there were 4 large dead bears in my backyard. ??????? ---- I don't for one minute think that Clay went into contract negotiations with his label without having some sort of a plan for his future career. The industry has changed so much and the old label model just isn't the only option out there anymore. Not to mention that Clay is probably more equipped to walk away than most. Re-signing with the label may have already been his plan B, you know sit down and see what they have to say out of courtesy and curiosity. I also don't think, given what he's actually said in interviews, that going back to teaching is something he considers realistic any longer. When radio went corporate, everything changed. The new thing now is that there won't even be local DJ's. Everything will be packaged stuff sent out from a main corporate location. so the Clear Channel AC station in Omaha will hear the same thing as the Clear Channel AC station in Dallas. etc etc.... Not unlike networks on television. A bit of local news, a few local commercials, then back to Ryan Seacrest edited to take out nesting quotes, stray e's and various other shit.. eta...guotes? WTH is that? Blaming it on the mini-pc.
  9. *waves* Lurking more than usual because my desktop died and I'm using a mini-pc. Typing on this thing is a real pain. Yes, yes. I know I could hook up my fullsize keyboard but I'm waaaaaaaaaaay too lazy. Hee. I'll be shopping around for a new desktop computer in the next week, but haven't really decided what I want and don't want to make a snap decision. Have another 3 day weekend because I'm having an "appt." day on Monday....Dentist...Vet...yadayadyada. YAY ME! --- I'm not sure being signed to a major label is the be-all-and-the-end-all anymore. So much has changed in the last several years. Not gonna sweat it in any case cuz Clay has his own peeps for that and they have way more info than I do. edited... too. to, two, 2 .... samething right?
  10. huh? 5th anniversary of boobgte? Who keeps track of shit like that?
  11. Oh I see it in the picture you posted, just not the original one posted. I can only see one guy taking a drink on the right and the bald guys shirt collar on the left in the original picture and nothing above them.
  12. I don't see it either. Or a woman with a camera. And it doesn't get all that much bigger when I click on it eta...thanks cindi. How did anyone see that in the original darker version? And yes I had double clicked the original that was brought over in the original post. Weird.
  13. ding ding ding Exactly. Ya think? Me too. Whoo boy. sidenote -- I wonder if A-Rod fans are going to get all uptight because he lied about lying? Somehow I doubt it. I know. WTF? Give me the "spinning ball" of ATD anytime. At least I get the reference. I'm sure it's a pretty song but those lyrics don't do it for me. at. all. ducky? I'll be spending my Valentines day with my basketball boyfriends. The shortest (and cutest) team in D1. Also this week... Pitchers and catchers report! Best phrase that is not "Clay blogged!"
  14. Me too. Can we keep it? --- eta...move along...move along...nothing to see here... etaa...gee that was quick...
  15. And they usually throw in a jab about Gary's spikey hair and weight for good measure. --- Meh. I accepted a long time ago that some people are just wired to be negative. In the same way that I'm wired not to. A friend of mine ran a girls fastpitch program that fielded about 20 teams, ages 8-18. The organization maintained it's own indoor practice facility and was considered one of the best in the city. He said that every year a certain percentage of the parents, coaches and girls were going to be unhappy. No matter what he did. He said it took him a long time to learn that and once he accepted it everything was easier to deal with. I have learned to scroll. edited to unscrewup my quote thingy's
  16. Yes...but it was originally going to be the B to TITN. Not Invisible. It was up on Amazon that way for awhile. That is the way they did it. Ruben's single was FWIW & Superstar.
  17. oooo....I love OTWOL. One of my favorites that Clay has done --- eta...off to VIEW NEW POSTS
  18. apropos of nothing...(or everything) I found this on my basketball board yesterday...
  19. Yeah...I embrace my edit. So sue me. eta....(oh come on...you knew it was coming *g*...) there is also ETAA = Edited To Add Again :schwirr: I've been know to use that one. *waves to the nice lurkers*
  20. Hee. Well that is one online fandom that tends to really go up in flames the first time something goes wrong during the season. So yeah, it fits.
  21. Hee. As a Twin's fan I can tell you we give that song a nice workout whenever we play the White Sox.
  22. Freddy was mostly a Tex-Mex musician who got his big break when Top 40 was open to cross over. Tear Drop probably was on the radio at the same time as Feelings. And it was played alot. http://www.freddyfender.com/bio.html But yeah. Maybe he did sing it on a special or something. Or maybe your thinking of Slim Whitman. The first infomercial star. eta... Didja know that Terry Jacks had to deal with an imposter who went around posing as him for many many years?
