  1. But, lilyshine... what book was it? That makes all the difference! How are the Constantine folks getting so many votes... you can only do one from one computer. I have a work computer and a home computer and voted from each. Can't do no more!
  2. They do if it's clayandr!!!! Sometimes I just crack myself up!!! merrieeee.... Sometimes you crack me up, too!!! TGIF!!! First some funny... Then some dreamy... GAH!!!
  3. luckiest... thanks for bringing that over. I am thrilled to see it, but I want more. I want the regular Broadway reviewers to say how wonderful he is, dang it. When are those reviews going to happen? I keep thinking any day now. Maybe next week! Sigh! I have to be patient. I'm sure the producers won't invite them to come until they feel Clay is truly ready. Sigh! It's only been 3 weeks tomorrow. Welcome, Brightlights!
  4. OMG, Keepingfaith... how wonderful of you! I'm impressed! I wish more people had your guts and right thinking. I bet there were many/at least some who wished for the courage to do what you did! Bravo! I'm impressed with my parents. They are in their 80's and finally left the SB's in 2002 -- because as my Mom put it ... "They think the most important thing in the life of Jesus is when he joined the Republican Party." A while back my mom told someone who asked her religion that she was Baptist, and when the lady asked "Southern Baptist?" my mother replied ........ "No .... Jimmy Carter Baptist." My mother is cute, by the way. Keeping... BWAH!!! Do you think your mom would adopt me? I'm motherless (and I am not unhappy about that). Our priest called my dad when I was 16 and said I was sending him to hell because I wasn't going to Catechism...my dad told him he was getting there all on his own. The priest hung up. JJ... BWAH!!! too! Funny dad! Well, I had spoken to him while he was signing my poster. He looked up and recognized me, said something, and was gone. So I finished my recap with "Best quickie I ever had" And then I found out he read that thread this afternoon- I had forgotten to edit that part!!! Marilyon... if he read it, I bet he loved it! He sorta kinda has a great sense of humor! Some friends were moving from SoCal to DC. They had a 5-gallon glass water jar a little more than half full of coins. They gave it to me for a trip to Eygpt I was planning (9/11 happened before the trip, so didn't get to go). It was $600 and a bit. I was flabbergasted! Those coins add up. I am refilling the jar, but since I use my quarters for laundry, I'm sure my coinage is a lot less, dang it!
  5. OMG, Keepingfaith... how wonderful of you! I'm impressed! I wish more people had your guts and right thinking. I bet there were many/at least some who wished for the courage to do what you did! Bravo!
  6. KAndre... I'm sitting here at work TRYING not to laugh out loud at your analysis of Clay's dance skills during AI and tour. I'm struck by your brilliance and I think that would make a great thesus for your masters. BWAH!!! His eyes sure do go there when given a chance, huh!
  7. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think he will. IMO, being on a Broadway stage, as part of a repertory company doing dance steps, is totally different than including dancing while he's singing by himself in concert. I'm just guessing, but I think he feels there's "safety in numbers" by being part of the group; adding dancing, even semi-spontaneous dancing, to a concert where the focus on him, I just can't see. And I do agree with 00lsee that as much as he's gained from the learning the dancing for this show -- once it's over he'll be back to "I can't dance." Maybe he'll change it though to "I'm not a coordinated dancer." ldyj... I think he will dance more in concert now that he has more confidence that he can move that body of his dance-like. I don't mean JT type dancing, just grooving that yummy body of his to the music... course now that he knows he can be coordinated when he wants to be, he might be even better at pretending to be ungainly for laughs... LOL JJ... I agree with you! zena... great post! Especially, this part... zena... I do think the confidence in being able to do something outside his comfort zone and doing it well and being accepted by the cast WILL definitely impact his entire performance in the future. He may be willing to take more risks in his performance than before. Plus, that added confidence is just looking so good on him... GAH!!! Love the new sweaters he's wearing. That grayish/bluish one actually fits quite well. Makes you wonder who is influencing him to wear clothes that fit rather than being tents to hide his body under...
  8. Since I live in OC and that used to be my paper of choice (I don't read a paper paper anymore), I made a comment. I asked him to tell me what was wrong with Eisenhower morals? LOL Also told him I like his blog and his bio without sounding like a Clay fan at all.
  9. JJ... don't think anyone called you a troublemaker or even hinted at it. My first response on reading your posts about this was, "oh, she's mad." I, too, didn't find dudley's review all bad. Just rolled my eyes at the "subtle" comment. This is Monty Python... pretty sure subtle acting is not in their vocabulary. There were a lot of dissenters pointing that out to her, also. Her opinion... their opinions. There may be some lemmings still around, but a lot less than before Morristown. Thank goodness for that! That WRAL interview was great! You put that next to his performance on Broadway and you see a beautifully complex man who is both talented and caring. And, very frequently gorgeous!
  10. bottle.... wanda... You guys are a riot! Thanks for the laughter! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I read the critque and went... huh??? Was very happy with the replies that debunked her view and very nicely, too. To each their own opinion. I LOVE that latest stagedoor picture. Since I know the liner is just from the stage it doesn't bother me and I like the blonde hair, especially tousled. Better get used to it, cause I'm betting that sweater photoshoot was for the album and that's the look he will maintain for awhile to promo it. However, I do wish he'd just grow his natural color out, since I think it is a strawberry blonde and would look great. Maybe that is his intention... we'll see what the heck he does when he does it! LOL Happy for the Giants/Eli! They have several very young/rookie players and have really jelled together as a team this year and it was just exciting since hardly anyone gave them a chance. Their defensive line was awesome!!!
  11. liney, I remember the Kelly mention (although of course the DJs ignored it), but do you have a link for Tyra's mention of Clay in a radio interview? Must have missed that one. Sorry, I don't have a link. I just remembered reading about it on CB shortly after his being on her show. For some reason I remember it being a NY DJ and she was asked cause he had just been on her show and the DJ had seen it. I remember thinking how great that was of her to say and imagining what had made her so sure... And, that was way before I ever read the Clyra story... S.W.O.O.N.
  12. ? lajeterfan, I'll take that as a compliment, glad you liked it.. Slept forever this morning....might make it to the opening speaker at lunch, heh. Although I still need to sync the latest mp4 downloads.. I always thought that if there really WAS something that happened on that AI Tour bus with Kelly, it was because of need and proximity and familiarity and affection (see kitchen chapter of Clyra) because she just doesn't seem to be 'enough' for Clay; Angela is a hot babe and she's very comfortable with being a hot babe on stage and that turns Clay on because he's a horndog and so he likes to play with her. If there was more, I say, "You go, now, Clangela!"; if not, then I still say, "You go now, Clay and Angela! Coss you two look hot together and seem to enjoy rubbing body parts together and giving and getting eyefucks and whatnot on stage and that means it's good for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Tyra? That thing somebody posted (I'm sorry...I didn't copy the poster's name or the quote) about the cinnamon toothpaste---I knew that---but I did NOT know about the basil substitution for mint....hmmmm As that silly German soldier would say on Laugh In, 'vehhhhhhhhh-dy inter-resting!'.... :lmaosmiley-1: And if there IS something more than mutual respect of: professional regard, appreciation of obvious physical attributes, acknowledgment of career ambition and success; interest and action in charitable endeavors; senses of humor; (dang, this is a gooooood list! ) etc., Then I'm happy as a June bug! If not and they still enjoy a friendship that's based on the above? I'm happy as a June bug! (Maybe even happier since --with emphasis on the "I" part) Oh, okay.....I'll shut up now. Later, peeps! :F_05BL17blowkiss: muski... agree about all you said above... especially about KAndre's family! One of my favorite Clay interviews was Clay and Kelly on MTV. They had sooo much fun that day together. It was probably just deep affection of shared experiences, but it was fun to watch. I participated in a Clelly thread for a while. My opinion only, but I think she would have gone for something with him (or maybe did), but he just wasn't there, so they went their separate ways as just friends. What I find interesting is the Kelly and Tyra are the only two I have heard about that have both said in radio interviews that Clay is not gay. So, that gives me a deep affection for both of them being in Clay's life. Also love the Tyra interview. I don't think she expected to get that instant connection with him... from eye witness accounts, the whole staff could see how they clicked and that's why they just kept filming and ended up making him almost the whole show. I think they found enough of a connection to know they both can just be themselves with each other and that has to be kinda sexy to both of them. Plus, they both know each other wouldn't be trying to use the other for any reason. Makes for a good foundation for a solid friendship, if nothing else. And, I think they are both smart enough to appreciate that, since good, loyal friends are rare in show biz. My biggest reason for the fun of shipping them... she'd know how to handle the media fallout of them dating and I'd love to see that just to watch it happen. Hee! It's a rainy morning here in sunny SoCal... just right for snuggling up with a good book waiting for the SuperBowl commercials to start. LOL
  13. Clay makes FRIENDS with his women! Phew! Whether it ever has gone/goes/will go further... I believe when the right time and the right person come together... POW! I definitely saw an instant chemistry with Tyra. He sure has the sexy vibe going on with Angela. I credit her with helping him bring his sexy self out to play. Quina always seemed uncomfortable when he tried to do that with her, but Angela was always ready to aid and abet him being frisky with her. He just appreciates women so much and he shows that, I think! Sigh... my heart is palpatating!
  14. merrieee... Are you the one with the scarf... or the hood? If that is you, is that a Clay Aiken scarf or are you cheating on BF? Watching Rewind... if someone had whispered in Clay's ear that night that in 5 years he would be starring (and dancing, no less) on Broadway and would be hanging with supermodel Tyra Banks backstage, he wouldn't have believed a word of it! Not sure I would have believed it either!
  15. bottle.... It's only 1:30pm here, so I'll be sure to watch this kid! Sounds like a winner to me! That insider info... I want the "Clay wrote 3-4 songs" part to be right, so I'm only salting part of it! The unsalted part I'm putting on my alter to "please, please, please." He did say the CD would be about his five-year journey, and he did say he'd only write when he had something to say, so... I just hope some of what he had to say is fun and up-tempo!
  16. But Last day, folks! Then I'm on the jet plane and then two more sleeps and then..... eHP, here I come! :F_05BL17blowkiss: ETA: ..Would this be a 'queeny' brow, KAndre? ETA: again....GAH at that picture! As if he just threw the coat over his naked self! muski... BWAH!!! I love when people create new lyrics to songs to fit a situation and Not Dead Yet is one of my faves. I love laughing first thing in the morning! AND, totally agree bout that picture. GAH!!! What persuades a man who has mostly worn shirts up to his neck to bare a little flesh.... or should I say who? hmmmm!
  17. But wanda, they viciously smash poor Patsy with a COW!!! OMG, I've become completely desensitized to violence. I just shrugged off death by cow. I'm so ashamed. Wanda... you're cracking me up tonight!
  18. Scarlett... great idea... I'd rather throw my money at him than at Best Buy. LOL These are kids. Kids scream. Adults: Involuntary orgasm. Wanda... You are really good at one or two line zingers! Ever thought of writing for late night comedians?
  19. Play... it is an unfortunate fact that on the internet anyone can say anything. With Clay's desire to be enough of a star to "make a difference" he has to learn to navigate thru this sometimes murky world and so do we, as his fans. I was a teen fan and back in those days, besides walking to school uphill both ways (tmCHA), I waited with bated breath for each month's teen magazines to get glimpes of my idols. Occasionally, I could see them on Ed Sullivan or American Bandstand. Nowadays, with the instant speed of the internet, we practically know when Clay brushes his teeth (I said practically). LOL Unfortunately, there are no ethics or checks and balances on the internet or in journalism today. We gotta upgrade our internal hard drives (our minds) and learn to cope with this new world and maybe work toward change whenever we can. Don't know what we can do, but if something occurs to anyone, please share, cause I would love to do something besides wring my hands when yet more crap hits the fan.
  20. aikim! You lucky beyotch! Where you going to PUT all that? I mean, what do you DO with that much? I'll never tell! Kim
  21. You guys are right... I had just seen it in the DHP downloads and then heard about it since Clay started and both were A101, so... I jumped to conclusions.
  22. Atinal... Excellent manipulation of words! I think there was/is a lot of "ta dew" about "not much" going on. Those incidents were so mild. I know people are afraid they will esculate, but I think the cast can handle it, Clay included. What interests me is that the "Claystein" fan told Sean she was sitting in A101 8 times and now they have new scenary saying C101 instead of A101. After so long with the A101 set. Methinks they decided to give her one time, but make the bit match another seat for awhile. Coincidence? Maybe. Made me go hmmmm! I wish the reviewers would go see the play and write their reviews already... I'm sooo anxious. From recaps I can tell he's doing great, so, it's just a matter of whether the reviewers will be fair or not. Fantasia made a map for an AI'er being great on Broadway, so I'm crossing everything possible for him and us. ETA: I thought they said around 2 weeks for the reviewers to be invited... it seems like it has been longer to me - I thought almost a month, but he started on the 18th and it will be 2 full weeks tomorrow night. LOL I'm an anxious idjit.
  23. Wanda.... bolded part (mine) BWAH!!! So true! I just have to get to that place quicker when this stuff happens! 00lsee... AWESOME post! I'm printing that sucker out!!! cindilu... great banner!
  24. muski... I feel kinda similar. My reaction was... is it never going to end... the slanting his every word/move in the most negative way. I have thought about it and I'm afeared the answer is, "no." It won't end for a long time, if ever. The man attracts it like Pooh to his honey pots. Not sure he could make it stop if he tried, unless he started answering yes or no or stopped doing interviews. So, I just sigh and wait for the next slap at him or the rare but wonderful article, like the AP one. This journey with him sure has its ups and downs, but I'm his and will continue to be, cause the ups are very worth the downs, IMO! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
