zena... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Even though, with the time change, it probably isn't anymore! LOL It is out here on the west coast, anywho. bookwhore... BWAH!!! I laughed till I had tears over this... I just finished teaching my 16 yr old DGS to drive and the first couple of time, he ran a stop sign AND a red light. Luckily, we were practice driving in an industrial area at night, so no other traffic. I am still laughing at your "It's a law, fergodssake, not a suggestion!" ! He got his license a couple of weeks ago and so far so good! He's ADD, so that just made it more fun and challenging. My hair is whiter and I'm on meds, but we made it! LOL Scarlet... LOVED OHN from Erie. The music was to die for and the hair was to snicker at... LOL He is sooo cute! He is really looking like Clayton with the hair and the glasses. And, he's not weaing any eye makeup, either, I don't think. He's still hiding the freckles, tho. He's still gorgeous!!! Wonder if he is just tired of the split personality of Clayton and Clay and wants to merge the two. I guess we'll see after UNICEF, specially if he does any promo for Spamalot.

{{{{couchie & family}}}} Two of my three grown (chronologically) children have not talked to each other in almost 6 years. They had a big blow-up and that's all they wrote. Haven't had a whole family Thanksgiving or Christmas or... since. I feel for you, couchie! It hurts! Here's hoping we hear a first hand recap, cause I'd like to know the truth. KAndre... bolding mine... You are totally right. If I put myself even a tiny bit in Clay's shoes (or mandels LOL), I don't know how he does it. He knows that everything he does brings BIG discussion. I'd be so self-conscious over every little word/action that I'd just retreat. He just keeps on keeping on. Knowing that he's displeasing someone somewhere. I admire him tremendously. I also agree with muski and (oooh, I forgot the first poster who said this... sorry!). I have studied metaphysics for almost 20 years and now do counseling in it and I know that and what bugs you the most in others are issues within yourself that you are bringing to your attention to work on and heal. I live that every day and it sure makes life more relaxed. It's never "out there" that is doing it to you, it's always you bringing it to you to learn from. [/end of philosophical exerpt] Something else I have thought as I have read all recaps that come my way... Clay must occasionally... ok, maybe often... get tired of being asked all these questions, even tho it was his idea. How much of the answers he gives are his way of "not answering"? ldyj... first... Then... I hadn't realized I prefer more serious pictures until I went into my photobucket looking for laughing ones.

IMHO, it is all about respect... respect for Clay and respect for everyone who works so hard to bring the audience a great play. I'm more worried about the "it's all about mememe" people that always have to yell out "I love you, Clay" than I am about clack takers cause anyone brave enough to take clack on Broadway are gonna have all lights covered and be VERY discreet so as not to get caught.

jj... I've been around the boards since AI2 and this is one of the bestest boards existing. There are some fascinating discussions here with all kinds of differing opinions and no one gets slammed or belittled nor nothin'. I LOVE those kinds of discussions cause as I'm reading, I'm saying to myself... oh, I agree totally with that... or,... nope, don't agree with that. Bottom line is it makes me think and sometimes broaden my opinions about something and isn't that what discussions are supposed to be for? FCA, I salute you!!! (and jj, you are part of that, so thanks for being here - on the fringe or not) The respect and valuing of each other here is unsurpassed and awesome to be a part of and kudos to Couchie and Ansa for creating and nurturing this place and to all of us who keep it that way without being stilletoed! LOL I have almost all of my shopping done... now if I could just get them all wrapped earlier than the hour before I have to give them, I would consider it a good Christmas season. LOL

zena... Missed you... maybe after the holidays, you'll be able to post more. It's interesting to me... because we have so little cute stuff in this tour, I find I treasure each few seconds much more. Some of the stuff I play over and over this tour wouldn't have gotten any notice at all last year or last summer when we had a plethora of funny!!! I split a gut laughing sometimes in the last two tours, but when I laugh in this tour it is with such a feeling of affection and love it is almost undescribable. With the hair and the glasses, I almost feel like we have grown up Clayton, along with his vulnerabilities. Last two tours he was entertaining us with laughter and fun. This tour he is singing to us from his heart. Both types of tours just make me love him more and I hope he continues to divide his time between the two in the future cause I love this Clay as much as I loved "off the hook" Clay. He is a man of many parts and all of them can park on my couch anytime!!! LOL

ldyj... I have watched a lot of clack. He stays still, etc when he is not singing, that's true, but he wants the attention to not be on him during those times and he knows if he is not the "narrator" and still, the attention will go to him. It does anyway. He is animated during the jazzy medley and when he is talking, so you know he's not a manikin up there.... LOL. Ansa... I think you're right that this concert will help fans get used to Clay not being the center of attention, just part of a cast. The cast here is the orchestra and Q&A.

Some like the forehead, some like the bangs... some like the glasses, some don't... some like the stories, some don't... you get the theme. Clay was right when he said he knew that no matter what he did, some would like it, some would pick it apart, so he was just going to please himself. Smart man! Clay said he wasn't adventurous... I beg to differ. Taking risks makes one adventurous and he has been taking them since he tried out for AI. WE are adventurous for loving him, since loving someone is always a risk. We have changed our lives because of him in many adventurous ways. This whole journey is an adventure. What fun! I still cannot get over the emotional impact of jojoct's WTOW from last night. It just rips at me. This tour feeds Clay's soul and for that reason alone, I love it. This gives him the heart to do his UNICEF work and deal with his celebrity and to be adventurous. This next year is going to be very full. Spamalot and new cd alone is a lot, but you know there will be more. THIS is beauty and feeds MY soul!

OMG... I just watched WTOW from Albany. jojoct has video. This is the closest I have ever come to tears in watching Clay sing a song. It is sooo tender and it seems like he can barely sing for the emotion in his voice. Whatever connected him so deeply to this song on this night, he has given us a treasure from his heart. Recommendation: 25 stars! OMG Just stunning! By the way... I LOVE HIS HAIR LIKE THAT!!! I'm in love again. Didn't know how much I missed his forehead, till he brought it back! Hope this means he's gonna grow it out for Spamalot! GAH!!!

Scarlett... do you take orders? I would LOVE a pair of black mittens (not gloves) and would LOVE to pay BAF for them. Can wait till after Christmas. Let me know if that if possible, cause I would love it, truly! I LOVE clack and respect tremendously those who take it, especially that of great quality. I download lots and finally figure out my favorites and delete the rest. I had to watch every "I'm not cool" medley from last summer. I just had to. I was not able to get to NAT or the last two JNT's, so I really appreciate it. Live is 1000 times better than clack, but clack is a fantastic second place! I hope no clack gatherers do anything that is uncomfortable for them with Spamalot. If we don't get it we don't. Not worth them getting in trouble. That said, we have some of the best stealth clack gathers in the world, so if anyone can do it, they can. I do, however, think it should NOT be put up on YouTube at all.

I don't hate the glasses, but prefer him without... what bothers me is WHY??? What is wrong that he's wearing them this long? He has never worn them this long before. Did he lose them? Did Durham eat them? Did he decide that he's too old to wear them now? Wha' That Person of the Year just melted my heart... would that it was true. I know it's too soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened one day.

Play... I totally agree. I wonder if it would be a good policy for the ClayNation to adopt that only the Clack Goddesses who took the video would put it up on YouTube and police it unless someone is given express permission to do it for them, along with an agreement to police in their place. I think the one who took the video could ask that an unauthorized person putting up their video be removed. Not sure how YouTube works. Is that feasible?

cindilu... why not just say we now have the next thread title AND the one after that since the numbers are so close. I just got into itunes through google and once there went to music... advanced search... entered Clay Aiken in Artist and All Is Well in Title (or something like that) and it went right to it and I bought and downloaded with no problem. Took me 2 minutes. First however, I tried to get into istore thru my installed itunes and I got the message that it couldn't be accessed and to try again later... so maybe the problem is the istore connection and not itunes itself if that makes any sense.
