  1. Loved the blog! I cannot believe people were sending their entries in over and over again just because they had to edit or change a line...and it is totally cool that Clay is reading them himself. I cannot wait for AYSTAFG to air...loving these little teases...you can tell Jeff was really enjoying him and I love his defination of antonym! Kim

  3. Couchie Congratulations on the job! My youngest Sarah just came home and told me she got promoted to full time at work...she works for a car dealer and has only been working there a couple of months. She is very excited! Having my teeth worked on...I rather go through labor and delivery... I am the worst dental patient ever! Many prayers going out to those in California. Kim

  6. Watching Rewind and I am so confused....they are letting people through who I think have awful voices and saying no to people who I think have good voices...now I know why I hate this show! But Clay is adorable as usual! Kim
  7. Not surprised at all about the dog going to get the broom...they are very smart dogs. Trixie will come and get me when her water or food dish is empty and if you tell her to get her ball, she remembers right where she left it and will go get it. Kim
  8. Trixie is a Boston Terrier...she only weighs about 20 pounds. She is 3 years old now, that picture was taken when she was younger. Bostons are a mixture of English Bulldog and English Terrier; she really does have a pretty face compared to other Bostons I have seen. I love having her here, but she wears me out since she wants to play all time...fetch is her favorite thing and she loves being outside. Unfortunately, she is not much of a watch dog; I think if anyone ever broke into the house she would probably lick them to death! Kim
  9. Looks like we have a split-face tortie also...I noticed too that this applies to her paws, the paws on the right are a light tan on the underside while the paws on the left are all brown. Very interesting! I was telling my hubby and he was very impressed...and he thinks we only talk about Clay on the boards! Kim
  10. I had no idea that torts are always female. A friend found Allie in a...well...alley but couldn't keep her. She fit in the palm of my hand when I got her. We had to bottle feed for awhile. She is so loving but it's on her terms...still. She pats my face or pats my hand when she wants to be petted. She's 19 now. Still spritzes around like a kitten at times. Jazz, her brother, is a spit fire. He found me outside the door at school on a cold, cold November day. He talks all.the.time. Our cat Cinnamon is a tortie...she was a stray...my youngest daughter's boyfriend found her near his house and gave it to her. She only weighed a pound when we got her and was about 4-5 weeks old. She is almost 6 months now, weighs about 6 pounds and is the cutest thing! Lots of energy though! I didn't know they were always female either. What exactly is meant by a "split-face"? Kim
  11. Pets! My house runs amok with domestic and wild fur babies. Right now we have a cat, a rabbit, two hamsters and a 3 legged rat named Simon after that beloved AI judge. We also have a dog when my oldest wants us to dog sit. We have had snakes (daughter #2 brought home a garden snake she found outside; being good parents we said she could keep it); one day when everyone was out, the snake decided to have babies, lots of babies...about 24 little ones in all...I was totally freaking out as they were coming out...we eventually let them all the go except for 2 and they were with us until they passed on. Not really a snake lover, but as long as they were in the tank, I was okay. My daughter thought nothing of draping them around her neck like a stole! Then there were the mice...one winter we caught a mouse in the house and after disposing of it, discovered it was a mama mouse...we found a nest of about 3 babies...well, the kids carried on and on about how we had murdered their mother until we finally pulled out an old fish tank (yeah we, had fish too!) and made a home for the babies. We kept them until spring time and then let them go in the field near our house. Very interesting to watch them nest and build their home, but they stunk to high heaven! I swear we might as well put a sign on the front door that says strays welcome...we have nursed injured birds; ducks, bunnies...our first cat was a stray and one time my daughter 2 (again) brought home a baby skunk that she swears was abandoned by its mother (I doubt it...think she just wanted a pet)...he was immediately returned to the wild and we had to get rid of the clothes she was wearing at the time. My husband decided to leave nuts out for the squirrels a couple of years ago since we had so many and now they just come right up to the front door in the morning looking for breakfast and he even has a couple of them eating out of his hand. Oh yeah, there was a guinea pig and three ferrets at one time too! Kim

  14. Have to admit, I have never quite gotten British humor...Monty Python, Benny Hill...I watched the clip of DHP doing Sir Robin and it wasn't laugh out loud funny to me, but I can see Clay doing it and making it even funnier...I do wonder if they will make some adaptations for him and I can totally see him doing it with the southern accent. Kim

  17. There is a thread on the OFC..."He Sold Out"...the train from Raleigh to New York has sold out on January 18th! I bet there will be some partying going on on that train! Kim
  18. Well, I am Catholic and baby no. 4 was definately a surprise, but a good surprise! And to illustrate what fertile Catholic girls we were; in that 6 year time span my three sisters and myself gave my parents 11 grandchildren...my mother just got used to the fact that when one of us called to tell her we were pregnant, the others wouldn't be far behind. Kim
  19. Gibby I feel your pain...and then some...I have 4 daughters...23, 22, 20 and 18. I feel like I have been on a permanent rollercoaster for the past 10 years or so. Of course, I should have know what to expect since I have three sisters myself and have vivid memories of those teen-ager years when we fought like cats and dogs. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, I now have 4 grown daughters who are foraging their way through life and though I still don't like some of the decisions they are making; they are all pretty independent ladies with good heads on their shoulders and actually are starting to believe that mom knew what she was talking about after all! Kim
  20. I think my feet are finally touching the ground....looks down, nope still daylight between me and the carpet! I do think this grin permanently fixed to my face and I know this warm feeling I have in my heart all day is not heartburn! I am not really the fangirly type, but it is amazing to me that one little gesture by a 28 year-old guy that I really don't know can turn this 50 year-old mother of 4 into a babbling idiot. I am sure my friend Nancy was probably wondering what happened to her sane, always take the common sense approach, pure-bus riding friend...I was OMG'ing all over the place and all but hyperventilating on the phone. But truly, I hope that everyone of Clay's fans gets their special moment with him, no matter how brief, because it truly does make you feel more connected to him and there is no feeling like it in the world. He has touched us all in so many ways with his voice, his heart, his humor, his faith and his just being there, that I was so very happy that I could return that to him; if just for a moment. Now, do you think it would be too greedy of me to wish for a Meet and Greet so I can actually have him sign my screencap? Kim
