  1. I am trying so hard not to listen to the songs tonight. I went on aol briefly this am and listened to two songs. I called my friend who is going out with me tomorrow to buy and she said I promised not to listen to then. So I did not go any further. It is killing me. I love what I did hear. That picture of Clay on the roof is just gah! Those hips are unreal now. He looks so good!!!!!!! I want to thank everyone who reported in all these months. I could not go and I could not wait for recaps every night.
  2. I am one who does read reviews but only do to see if I will agree with them. Almost every movie I haved loved the critics hate. When I purchased Rascal Flats last CD I new EW said it was along with Clay's the top 5 worst album of the year, but I really enjoyed it. I take out a lot of CD's from our library to see it I will like them before I buy. Some of those who have got great reviews I have hated. Everyone tastes are different. I was hoping this time that Clay would finally find respect, but it looks like it will be the same thing again. I am not going to get upset, I am going to enjoy this great CD . I had to wait to see QVC this week because I am probably the only one who does not have cable. I did download a couple song prior to watching the show on Tues. at my mother. Remember she is 87 and did tape it for me. She was funny, she at first did not like his hair, but after she watched it several times decided that it did look good. It just looked so different to her. I did have my friend order a CD for me. I hoping when I get to Walmart on Tues. they have the bonus CD, if not I know I will survive and just pick up the other one.
  3. I love the snippets of all the songs. Yesterday I came online at 730am and listerned very quickly then went and taught a 6 hour CPR class. I could not wait to get home and listen more closely. I am going to love many of these. Today my husband and I went for our first bike ride since Oct. last year. Always hard after being off all winter. We did 26 miles and I actually feel pretty good. Suprisingly my butt bones are not hurting. That is usually the worst the first day. I looked at my work schedule and both days for Leno and Kimmel I have to work the next day and be up at 5am. Do you think my patients will like a very tired nurse? Probably not so I will not see them till the next evening. That is going to be really hard. Our internet service at work has everything pretty much blocked.
  4. I agree, I have never enjoyed James Blunt. I have read places that the type of music Clay sings could never stand up on DWTS. My question is, if music by Blunt can be dance to why can't anything Clay sings meaure up and be danced to. His vocals are 100% better and I think OMWH would be beautiful.
  5. I guess I go against the grain. I did not enjoy David C. I did not like it to about half way through. Then the backup singers came in and the band was adding alot. I usually like him, but the song did nothing for me. I also did not like Jason version. Sometimes he sounds good other times not. He is so cute, but vocally does not have it.
  6. I was very disapointed when Clay did not win. I tried for a couple of hours to vote. Never got one in. I know at least 10 people at work that never got a vote in. Maybe It was the phone lines in our area. Who knows. I do not really care anymore, Clay has done well and Reuben maybe not as well. For Reuben it may have been enough, we do not know how he feels. All I want for Clay now is respect in whatever he does. I am tired of the cruel jokes.
  7. Well, AIKIM, we will both be busy on the same day. My sons wedding is also on Sept. 20th. They sent out magnets several months ago to let people know to save the date. When some read it they said they did not know the date that all it said was Sept. 20.08. They thought it was in Sept. 08 but did not notice the 20th. We got showers in July and probably many more things that I can not think of right now. I also have two bike trips this summer, so it will be really busy.
  8. Just dropping in to say that I LOVE everything over the last few days. Those pictures are a killer and I am in love with the song. His voiced is incredible. There is no one out there right now who can compare. He does use his instruement well.
  9. I have actually got some work done today. Got up this morning and cleaned three bathrooms, our bedroom, and did three loads of laundry, plus my husband made another change on our tandem so I rode that for 30 minutes to see if it worked, then I went outside(It is finally 60 degrees here) and I took down the greens from the chair on my porch and the ones in my planters that I had up at the holidays. They were frozen in the dirt in the planters and I could not get them out before. It feels so good to see sun and have warm weather. Don't get me wrong, I love to ski and really like the look of snow, I was just ready for warm weather to start. As soon as it is 45 degrees in the early am I will be out biking in full force. After a long winter it seems like it will take time to get in shape again. I know that first 50 mile day will be a killer. I like many of you, would love to hear Clay on the radio but do not think it will happen. I am not OTT kind of person. I support him as much as I can. Love him to pieces, but what happens happens. I have never called a radio station or wrote a reply to anyone who was not kind to him. I do not believe in doing those things. Not that I like everything I read, but refuse to cater to the negativity.
  10. My oldest son two years ago, got engaged in July and married on Thanksgiving weekend. I was a gorgeous wedding, nothing left out, three hundred people at it. He had it at a country club, beautifully decorated, and had the ceremony and reception together. The guest were sitted at their tables, the immediate family at chairs in front of the bride and groom. Everything turned out great. My youngest son has had a longer engagement. We are having the traditional church ceremony, followed by a reception a few hours later. My middle son, decided on a short cermony at city hall with a reception two weeks later. Everyone different, but all nice.
  11. AIKIM- Congrats to your daughter. My son is getting married in Sept. Today I went dress hunting, found two, brought them home but not sure what I like. I have a real problem fitting, I am not proportioned to wear a dress. 6-8size on bottom, extra large on top. I am going to let the bride look at them and decide what color she likes. I have been reading all of the concerns and angst of people regarding promotion for Clay. I am in the I can not do anything car. I support him how I can by buying his CD and will watch him on everything I can. I am not going to get myself upset. I do not get the assumption we are a mean board. I read a lot of other boards and belong to a couple more, but I really mostly only post here. I enjoy it here. Maybe sometimes I do not agree with someone, but probably people do not always agree with me and that is ok. As long as everyone is respectful that is fine.
  12. I saw that cd cover picture about five minutes after it was posted on CH. Good thing I was by myself, I let out a audible gasp. It is one of the best picture they have ever done of him. I cannot wait for May. I set my work schedule up for the month of May. I will have to work the 5th, but made sure I am off on the 6th. My concert buddy and I already have our plans made for that day. Even though I will not be able to attend a cd release party near me, twelve hour shifts and a hour drive home pretty well will nix it, because I think it would be probably another hour or more to get to one. After another week of many family members at my house because of my MIL funeral, I am going to leave tomorrow for a week of fun. First to Arizona for three days, then on to North Carolina for three days. I have to work on the 30th so have to get back. Will have a lot of catch up when I return, I am not taking my computer with me.
  13. It seems lately everytime I come here I am reporting sad news. We got a phone call at 3:30am that my MIL died last night. We are waiting for all of the details. Her youngest son lived with her and he was the one who called us. We inturn called and left messages for my husbands other two sisters to call us. One is a flight attendant for Southwest, so she may be up in the air. At the same time my youngest sons friend at age 23 was found dead in his bed this week. I am so tired of this black cloud overhead. I am suppose to go to Arizonia next Sunday, I so need a break. On a much happier note. Clay looks so happy in those pictures with Rosey. I am loving the hair.
  14. I have really been trying to eat better these days. Not that I do not splurge once in a while. I gave up chocolate for Lent, so I have not had many desserts. Bike season is starting as soos as it get warmer. I will ride anytime it is above 40-45 degrees. We start with around 40 miles in about three hours and work our way up to 70-80 by the end of summer. We average about 15 miles an hour. I say we because I am on a tandem with my husband. I usually do not lose any weight but things are firmer. When we have to climb hills that are short I am the one who stands up to get us up, when it is a long climb we just gear down and go slowly up. My husband always teases me that when it is time to go he wants it to be when he is riding, my respond is wait I am on the back and do not want to go with you.
  15. I do not know about your guys, but I am tired of driving in snow storms. We have had enough snow to be only about 8 inches away from the record. I have had some very hazzard days driving to my job. Does not help I have to drive 50 miles one way. At first last night they were saying we were getting hit again, but now the storm change somewhat and we are just going to get a little bit. I do not work a whole lot of weekends but am working twelve hours tomorrow for someone else. As much as I love skiing, I do not like driving in heavy snow. It can snow on the hills and leave the roads dry as far as I am concerned. Clay content- Boy is he more gorgeous everyday!
  16. My youngest son and finance are hooked on bowling on Wii's. When her parents had their engagnement part last fall, her mom put up a sign that said "no Wii till three". They abided and did not play it till 3am. I was long gone by then and in my own bed.
  17. Rohdy - I bowl at Galaxy Lanes, with a small women's league. We have bowled together there for about 20 years. We are just a fun leagued who just enjoy having fun and drink lots of coffee. I still bowl with a ball that is 35 years old and can still maintain a half way descent average. I usually get one 200 game a year, but have not had one this year. When I hit 198 this week everyone teased me that I choked, I only needed 8 pins on the final ball and got 6. I also got stuck with the banquet this year(the team who had it quiet mid season), so I am thinking of having at the French Laundry in Fenton. Next week planning will start. Those pictures from the last two nights are just great. He is looking so great, I think he looks thinner in his face, might just be the angle they were taking at, but I love the color of his hair. I liked the dark hair but for some reason I really like the blonde.
  18. I am glad Danny went home. I did not like his voice or his attitude. The girls side I wish Amanda would of gone. To me she can only sign in one style, and not different then most lead singers in a bar.
  19. I agree with the song by Blake. Every show I have seen him on this year I have not been impressed. i just do not get taken every song and beatboxing in it. It ruins it for me.
  20. I usually only buy 2 CD's. One for me, and one for my mother. I was late buying MOAM because my life at that time was non stop and I really was not paying attention. My sister got my mother one for Christmas. I borrowed it, then went out and bought my own copy.(I was good I could of burned it!). I had a good day at bowling this am. I have not bowled for two weeks, so sometimes I pay for that. My average this year is down from 150 to 145. I have not had any great weeks. Today I had a 185, 198, and 160. With all that my team only won 1 game. We do better it seems when I suck.
  21. Reading the boards today I can not believe the attitude of entitlement. I know that I am not going, but I consider the signing of the playbill a perk. Something I would love, but if it did not happen I would understand. From my reading I cannnot understand the behavior that occurred, we all know what Clay asked. I do not know what these girls were thinking. I watched the video of them after the show, about a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to yell into my computer to just shut up. I can only take someone being annoying for a short time. I watched that one time and never again. I am surprised he did not really get mad at them.
  22. I flew Air Trans last winter from Michigan to Tampa and had a good flight with no luggage problems. I love all of the video from WRAL. I cannot get the line from Ashes out of my head. I really needed those segments to help get through the last couple of days. The memorial service for our little guy was really nice. My son was able to fly up from Florida, and when I turned around by sister from Cincinatti and Kentucky were there. Everyone has been so supportive. My oldest son and wife are taken this hard, but they have many friends and relatives to help them. There was over 100 people at the service.
  23. (Playbill) Please do not feel guilty because you are able to go to many shows. I love reading the recaps since I will not be going. I never understand why anyone would begrudge someone for seeing shows. If I lived nearby I would see what I could. Just continue to see as many as you can and report back with every little detail.
  24. I set my tape up for tonight episode but now I am wondering when it will really show. The nascar race has not started yet and I do not know if they will run it (it is raining in Calif.) thus affecting the time of rewind. This has happened before and it is hard to judge when the tv time will be corrected. Our episode usually runs at 1100 right after the news. Who knows if they will run the whole Sunday night line up or not. I think this is one of the shows that I missed the first time.
  25. COTTON - We start training in April with rides around 40miles(we can get that done in less than three hours) and then keep increasing our miles every week. By the end of the summer we are doing around 70 miles in a day. Our one ride on Labor Day weekend is 5 days and 340 miles. When I did my century riding I was on a single bike, now I am on a Tandem with my husband. The most we have ever done in one day was 96 miles. I can say that time was not really tired, but the multiple days in a row are hard. When Clay was in Clio in 2005, I had rode 58 miles that day, and had to be up by 6am the day after the concert to do another 62 miles. I could not say no to hubby or he would of made some comment about Clay interferring with my training. Cannnot comment on Idol Rewind this week, I do not get it to 1100 tonight. Since I missed some episodes originally because I was teaching on that night, I have really enjoyed the look back.
