  1. Crap, I have to meet a client for lunch, so it'll have to be later... but try Toronto Canfly... (and ignore the Yohuu in the middle - heh!), but the breath after the first You is realllllly nice.
  2. I love Iris. I know a lot of people can't stand it. But it just kills me (in a good way) every single time. And, shut.up, but I think it's the lyrics. Hee! Totally with you. The yooohuou, whatever it is... it sounds lazy or something to me. It makes me crazy...he does it in IWCY a LOT. I don't actually, but not because I don't like it, I just don't know it. I'm not a fan of the demos, so I haven't listened to them much and haven't even listened through some of the songs all of the way. (Do I have the correct reference?) But, I do have them, and now I want to hear that syllable! Thanks for the recommendation! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Oh, yay... I hope you like it... but it's ok if you don't. Quite frankly, I think there are way too many to mention, that I love but here are a couple. Merrie Christmas With Love....the vibrato on "Merrie" at about 3:25 (not that I studied it or anything) Solitaire...there is a point where he really sounds the "K" during it right, before the big note, it gets me every time. And just to hear him sing the word "baby" and I am a gonner! I also love how he cannot sing the word "love" in some songs. It comes out sounding like low! Now I'm going to have to listen to these songs all over again...what a chore*g* Babyungh in At This Moment. GUH!! A little hope, goes up in smoKe. Yeah, baby! ...the way I lowww you. Awww. ::LOVE:: Gloorrryus morn from OHH. Swoon. And of course the last note from All is Well from Merrillville is like watching The Catch. I have to go find more now, and I'm gonna make a list. See ya in a year.
  3. Wow, I never defined it that way, but ME TOO!! And I know EXACTLY which "stars" you mean. Please tell me you have "vows" from :23 in I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore on your list. If you like that "stars", you MUST love that "vows". And now I'm going to have to go listen to a bunch of song because I need a time for each moment that Clay holds on to a note tight in his throat and you can hear him release that little catch that opens up his throat and lets the note finish. (muski oughta have a field day with that! Hee!) I think with Clay's voice, I really don't listen to the whole song like with other songs... cuz it's not the song; it's the voice, and the little vocal tricks that just happen. Honestly, I've listened (heh) to Listen a bunch of times, and I have no idea what the song means. But I love that part where Clay sings reallllllly low before he belts out his word, not that I know what the word is. LOL! I think that's also why I can like YWT or More To This Life, because I just like the expression of meaning in the first and the cadence of the second... but if I were going for the "message" of either... they're entirely lost on me. Hurry, someone else post...don't leave me hangin' here all alone!!!! Weeee...toppers!! Hey, there's no strikeout on QuickEdit.
  4. A blogger, "Jimmy", who is apparently James Ludwig, a current member of the Broadway company for Spamalot, posted this in his blog tonight: Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser. Hi zena.
  5. Can you do Toledo first? Hey, KF... I like that Quinn, The Eskimo song... I had no idea that was Dylan either. (Hell, Julie London sang that too!??!) I couldn't tell you what the lyrics are, but I could sing along with the whole thing if it was playing. Weird. I confess I don't like Dylan because I saw him in concert once and he was bitchy and bored. It skewed my perception of him and I could never go back. Maybe I'll give it another try tho. Quoting myself because this is.an.emergency. WTH? I can't screencap anymore? What do I change? I got a new computer and it won't capture... WAH.. HELP ME!!
  6. Oh, I sucked at those classes too. I love ATD because in Toledo Clay looked so damn gorgeous singing it. Hee. And I like that he's fighting the angels ... to me the song is like he's at the bedside of his loved one who's dying and he's not going to let it happen, dammit. 1000 days isn't enough, so don't even try to die on me... if those angels come, I'm fighting them cuz those bitches oughta know... I.am.not giving up on you! I don't know what the spinnin' ball thing is... he's dizzy in love... Heh! Aren't ya'll glad I don't write any fic??! Hee. Grrrr... does anyone know why I can't Alt+PrintScreen in WMP anymore? WAH! I wanted to post a 3:13 Toledo Scarlett ATD screencap. I love all those Clays in the banner, Cindilu! Pretty darn cute!
  7. Bah. You're just as articulate as any of us. I know what you mean too...it's overall sound first... if I can't stand the basic sound... off it goes! And I agree... the live version is much better to me. I like the JBT version of it more than anything. And I really like it... I was disappointed in Toronto when he sang TRD instead. Even though I ended up liking TRD, I was so excited and then it didn't happen. Wah. Hee. I got over it tho, obviously. I think I'll go watch me some JBT ATD right now! Scarlett Toledo oughta do it. Ooo, me likey Broken Wings... it's the only song I've really looped on the CD. I just love it! I LOVE THE not-paisley, not-fugly jacket!!! Hee.
  8. I think I love you ldyjocelyn. OMG... That gave me chills!!! /pauler Easily. For one because I'm not a lyrics person at all... not foremost anyway. I do like "message music", but it's not the only kind. Plus, even when I am listening to the lyrics I realize it's an expression of a culture. It's art and music and someone's story. It's like watching a Stephen King movie or something... I don't want to live it out; I'm just watching a story. I don't just watch movies I can align with in some sociopolitical way or something. OMG, KarenEh? It's so cool that you are there and posting too. I really hope you'll share your entire experience with us via photos. I'm so excited about that. No pressure tho. Be safe and enjoy!!! All that too ^^. Rhythm of the words... yeah. BTW, that isn't Springsteen. It was Manfred Mann, a Brit band. And I always thought it was "wrapped up like a douche" followed by "another boner in the night". But I still can't stand Dylan. Heh, sorry, KF! Hee. To me, on a message board, saying you love something, is like opening up a poll. You're gonna get a bunch of opinions. I can respect yours and still ::hates:: what you adore. I never mean it personally. And I expect that people reading my posts know that my intent is to speak for myself and only myself. I believe in letting everyone be exactly who they are... mushy, gushy, sweet, bitchy, cynical, lusty, etc. I prefer the melting pot without the eventual melting. I know...that's just me. But just as I don't expect anyone else to change... I don't plan on it either. I love ATD, Claygasm, and I'm not the least bit offended that you find my taste trite or banal. Hee. Kidding. Seriously, you don't have to defend yourself to me as a fan, or explain yourself or your intentions. You hate the song. Big whoop. You sure don't need to defend your "true fan"ness over it. It all reminds me of Clay's conversation with his friend about abortion... "OMG." "OhMyGod." "OHHMYYGOD!!!1!" "Wanna go eat?" Or however it went... seems normal to me. ETA... BWAH! That "clack" is hilarious! Thanks, merrieeee! OOPS... I almost forgot... laughn is out for a couple of days, but wanted me to say hi!! So... HI! :F_05BL17blowkiss: ETAA... heh, learn something new every day. Thanks ldyj!!! That's what I get for bein' a know-it-all!

    Bwah. And people think Clive's a hard-ass.
  10. Aww... sorry CG! Yay for Gibby! I don't have a horse in any of these races, but it was nice to see Livan win! Go Livan!
  11. See why I love you. Lord, so Loverboy just released Back for More: http://www.bananatoons.com/index_flash.html Click on Loverboy to play it. Loverboy? Seriously? And the guy claims he wrote it? Huh? Stealing from CinPA at CH: If I were he, I'd be a bit embarrassed. Who is better known in the US, Loverboy and Clay Aiken, and who is all over Youtube singing BFM in 2005? And the performer listed on ASCAP is Clay Aiken: BACK FOR MORE (Title Code: 321596690) Writers: DE VILLER DANE ANTHONY HOSEIN SYED SEAN KIPNER STEPHEN ALAN
  12. Sorry I missed your birthday, keepingfaith. You know you're one of my favoritest fans in the whole of Clay Nation, eh? I enjoy watching you experience your fandom. Hopefully I'll be able to see it in person one day. And Happy Birthday to you too, liney! Thanks again for the pie recipe. I had no idea... and now I have a food mill so I'm ready for next year! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Weeeeeeeeee, top of the world!!!

Rats, I missed Dusty! I like Kenny Lofton. I don't even know who he's playing with right now. I don't know what's wrong with me (maybe it's because I haven't kept up this year!), but I haven't been watching any of the games. I better cut that out...I'll miss it when it's over!!
  14. Heh. I just heard that too. I think it was something like... ...the thing they have is common is people laugh at them and they don't care. I DVR'd so I'll look later, but I definitely perked up.
  15. Thanks! I just realized I called you gran... whoops! See? I was waiting for Scarlett. I KNEW there was more. *waits ever so patiently* Take your time! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Ansa, couchie, KAndre... thanks.
  16. Holy Shit. *hides* Um, Orlando TWYMMF. It's really that simple. *sniff* So totally true! It does feel like Fall. Congrats to the Philly Fans. I remember how it feels! :F_05BL17blowkiss: What does this mean, gran? Did they have the same script in the actual AI2 show? There's no way I could remember that? Hee. That's all I'm sayin' 'bout that. But, if I wanted to, I would. Oh yeah... that will totally do. :F_05BL17blowkiss: LMF... I love that song! I think it's in my top three AI performances. I even liked the lighting. I LOVE Clay's voice in AI2 Rewind. It makes me feel like I'm watching it with him. He's just sitting next to me being his little jabbering self. I do like his reading voice... it's "younger" than his singing voice to me. I could listen to him read stuff a lot. It's natural him instead of trying to fit around a song. Or something. I suck at descriptions, but I know what I mean. Oh yeah... HI!! And happy birthday to ialreadyam! ETA... WEE!!! I'm the top!! I'm cellophane! /~Ella
  17. I thought I'd take a little break to watch a movie on my new monitor (heh!). I have barely started the thing and what comes up. Produced by Chaiken Films. Now how am I gonna watch this serious movie when I keep chuckling!?! Dude... stop.it!
  18. Scarlett (not self-righteous at all, but I know how you feel when you say that), atinal, jamar... Yep, yep, yep. Nice analogies. Heh, that works! Luckily for the world, this kind of shit happens for every celebrity; we are neither unique nor particularly clever. Long after the Chexxxy's burn themselves out fighting for truth and justice (eyeroll), Clay Aiken will still be singin' his loverly little heart out. There is no way I could pick a favorite tour. Favorite parts of each tour? Sure. How exciting was it looking for wherever Kyrie Clay was coming from during the IT? And the first time we realized Clay was singing WDC? I think it'd be easier to list the top 10 moments from all the shows. Heh, but I'll have to think about it and actually compile the list. Toronto TRD from row 2 was a personal favorite too! I guess it's cheating if I use an entire montage, eh? YouTube: Homeward Bound - MrsLoki
  19. That was a very soothing vid to watch while waiting for the Broadway Cares vid to download. Thanks chach...and play! I loved how professional, how "young", and how Clay Aiken he was in that video. That was a really fun step back in time. Aww.
  20. Welcome, zena! Congrats on screwing up the courage to go to that first party! So, did your son end up in a music career? at your siggy!
