Oh wow our own thread!!!

Wheee! Thanks!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

So... this project is really just a small one -- an online version of those inspirational books -- so that several of us could contribute (pictures, quotes, poems, anecdotes, etc) to support the Somalia fundraiser. Just one more way to help, since times are tough.

If you send in a check, it's just 1 check but if you let others know about something it's N checks. We'll have something to call our own and at the same time we can direct our friends & or relatives to view it and contribute anything -- even 6 cents will save a child in the places where clean water is impossible to get.

couchie promised to host it here on fca - gave 3 options.

the theme / purpose is to support Clay's efforts to raise awareness about Unicef and children's needs.

both stories and poems, quotes, pictures, etc.

the unicef folks can embed a link to their site so that they can handle the fundraising part

well - up at the top it says UNICEF Inspirational Book - so I think that's what it is - something online - and a fund-raiser???

I am not sure how we accomplish that - so where do we start?

I'm interested- but clueless- and completely low-tech. But if given really clear instructions, I can usually follow along! More details, please!

Gee, not quite sure about what we are supposed to be doing, but I donated to Unicef in support of the Somalian project on 2 different times at $50.00 each. Will that count for this thread????

That's all it is -- another way to help, to put something hopeful out there, to create something together, to support Clay's efforts, etc.

But it's really just a simple thing.

Chickens --- LOL, I think of Sir Robin. Hee!

So is it a web page designed to solicit money for UNICEF?

Claylily, that will certainly count to support Clay's efforts -- this is a secondary thing: to inform, inspire, pass the message, etc.

And to have something fun to make together.

LOL, cha cha!

How about something like Salamander's pages - using action figures to illustrate the message.

Oh yeah - What IS the message??? :)
