  1. Am I the only one around here who follows Clay on Twitter via my cellphone? I got this last night, but was at a movie at the time:
  2. {{{{{{{family and friends of sassafras}}}}}}}} Adam who?
  3. Good luck to both luckiest1 and Scarlett today! My work has taken another turn for the crazy. We had a full time librarian (who worked nights and weekends, mostly), quit at the beginning of the semester. We have someone hired, but we're also going to be rearranging schedules so that the night/weekend thing is distributed equally. This is fun when people are totally used to having both nights and weekends off. Then, another librarian (at a different branch, who also works nights and weekends) quit yesterday. While he is working until the first week of January, and we do have someone in mind already, I've got to go through the same thing with THAT branch. AAAAAGH! Only 7 more working days until a break, only 7 more working days until a break... Topic: I hope Clay enjoys HIS work, and also HIS break...
  4. Ooooo, yummy banner! I so loved his look during the 2007 Christmas tour...but then, I'm a sucker for the glasses! Thanks cindi, and thanks bottlecap for the pictures too!
  5. You know, all day yesterday I was saying to myself..."What the heck election is Houston doing?" So, when I saw the results this morning, I had a "duh" moment...and then started celebrating! I've read what Scarlett said, that the campaign really wasn't all that nasty until the last few weeks. I hope she does a good job for you! Other than that...back to wrapping presents and getting them ready to mail. Also listening to Christmas music on shuffle via iTunes...Clay, Sting, Brad Paisley, the Charlie Brown Christmas album, and Straight No Chaser. It can be a whiplash inducing, but it's a cool mix IMO.
  6. New Tweet sighting, via CV: Also, a lurker at Openly Clay says that her sister heard on a Minneapolis radio station that Clay was spotted with Reed's Mom at a restaurant. Of course, both should be taken with a grain of salt...but I'm going to :04: nonetheless!
  7. USA Today Clay Aiken Investigation Dropped by N.C. Election Board The picture included is from his 2009 GLAAD appearance
  8. I think this was another of those blogs like he did when Parker was born -- the local media got a copy of it first, and then he put it on the blog as fast as he could... ...which is the right way to do it, IMO. And with what he has done in regards to his registration, he's now put the focus back on what he originally meant with his first blog -- to point out the terrible policies that this new school board is trying to do (actually, bullying to do). Here's an article, called "The Dismantling Begins," that talks about it. As for initialism guy -- when will people stop talking about him, let alone talking TO him? And yes, I know I'm breaking my own rule by even mentioning him...but he's a famewhore, pure and simple. He needs the attention, and by saying stuff about Clay, he knows he'll get it. On that note -- I'm going to try my best not to even think about him again. (Yeah, couchie, I pretty much had forgotten him too...)
  9. Boy howdy, so do I aikim, so do I... Smart. Committed to causes he believes in. Hawt. I'll take Clay Aiken for $1000, Alex.
  10. ldyj, was that response directly to you?? How very cool!! No, sorry...not a direct response to me. My twitter name is my screen name here. I wish it would have been direct to me! There are only three people I follow on twitter that I send directly to my phone: my workplace (which I figure I might need if we get the snowstorm predicted tomorrow evening), Guy Fieri (who is fun) and Clay.
  11. New Twitter from...oh, about 30 seconds ago (love getting these on my cellphone when I have the phone CLOSE to me, heh). cindi, I'm not Caro, but I think Clay's being "in the news" last week was because of his birthday, which was reported in many media (including ET).
  12. IMO, the poker challenge crystallized the reason why the team that won did. I'll wait until the West Coast gets this before saying much more...
  13. LOOOOOOOOOOVE the new picture. It's great seeing him out and about (no pun intended), and that smile gets me every time! Oh ausdon, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I hope you feel better soon! Nice to see you again soulsista! I watched several PBS specials last night, including the one from an amazing vocal group called Straight No Chaser. Of course, it is also pledge time. Anyway, the pledge levels were: $75, a copy of their latest CD; $125, a DVD of the show I watched; $175, both bundled in one package. I think when the PBS special comes around for Clay (and I feel it in my bones that it will happen), it will probably be a similar deal. And yes, I'm a total sheep and would pledge to get the bundled package, even if I already had both. Why? Because I'd love to "tell" PBS that I like Clay and would like to have more programs from him on their channel. I think it will be interesting to see how many other fans would do this. But -- I think the point of a PBS special is to get OTHER people to appreciate Clay, and I think that would work spectacularly. JMO of course.
  14. I kinda think Clay likes the orchestra behind him, but that may just be me... From the CV: Fabulous Toys for the Holidays! That's some list of celebrities that Clay is part of. Woohoo!!!! Happy birthday Thankful4Clay!!!!
  15. One more twitter holdout checking in! I set up an account for something or other we were doing to do with Clay and haven't used it at all. Those who "follow" me must be mighty disappointed!! Facebook, OTOH, I love and am right addicted to....not a farmer or fishkeeper or cafe owner though...I have enough to do in real life. I too have a twitter account -- which I use to mostly follow a few celebrities (including Clay!!). I've also got my twitter account linked to my Facebook account -- so when I DO update twitter (HA HA) it will also update my FB status. I've read there are ways to do the other (from FB TO twitter) and selectively at that, but haven't investigated further. And I don't play Farmville or Mafia Wars or Fishville. I too, try to have a life. LOL! Topic: wonder if Clay plays Farmville? Hee.
  16. No Kalamazoo for me...but since I managed to get to the Gala this year, my streak of seeing him every year since 2003 continues! And I look forward to many more times seeing him next year! Clay, once again, makes the ET Birthday list. Watch it here!
  17. Happy Birthday Clay! May you have a relaxing day, with family and friends around you! :snoopy:
  18. Oh good Lord. Globetrotters? S-t-u-p-i-d. Brothers? Annoying as hell! Ericka and Brian? Not bad...only semi-annoying from time to time. Megan and Cheynne? While anything can happen in the last leg, if they don't win, I will be totally surprised!
  19. Since it's boring around here...something totally OT. If anyone is interested in what our bathroom looked like before, during, and after a remodel...click here. We didn't do it all ourselves, the only thing we did was strip wallpaper. I'm totally happy at how it turned out!
  20. Clayzy, I saw that on your Facebook...and I totally agree with you, very sweet, and hopefully, someday, not newsworthy in the slightest. From the CH:
  21. And I know where liney was born and raised, she's about a half hour from me (I live just east of Peoria). It's a small, small world. BIL is getting ready to leave this morning, so I pretty much have a weekend to myself. Unfortunately, hubby has had a cold almost the entire weekend, and I'll probably be nursing him back to health. I was hoping to do some shopping today though -- not to mention it's going to be a nice day outside, and it would be good to get the Christmas lights up. I hope everyone has a great day today!
  22. That's so cool, jmh! Hope you have a safe flight home!
