  1. True. But ask couchie -- Facebook is fun, it's free, and it's a great timewaster! LOL.
  2. Slightly OT, from the CH: I changed the title of the link to the correct title, and I haven't watched it yet...
  3. Are you right clicking on your mouse, and then "save target as" or "save as" to your computer? You should then be able to open it, using Windows Media Player. every time I have gone to that website I have had issues. One night I gave up because it was taking so long to load. The next day I could not get Right Here Waiting off my computer. It played like 4 times before I could get it off. I have stayed away from it most of the time & just wait for people to put it on youtube. Well, this isn't going to show up on YouTube, because it's audio only....just sayin'. I think the larger of the two files is 7 mg -- not very big at all. PM me; if you can get more specific on the problems you're having, maybe we can help you. Are you on dial up?

  5. *imagines a Clay Aiken dance remix* "If I was invis-uh-uh-uh-uh-ble, then I could just wa-a-a-tch you in your r-r-r-r-room..." Or would that be a techno remix? Eh. I don't know music--I just know I like Clay! I have no idea how these came to be (and even more scary, I don't know how the hell I remembered these), but if you can right-click and save, try this link from Clack Unlimited: IWCY and Invisible -- the dance mixes
  6. Actually, I do agree too. Thing is, the flight attendants seem to get thisclose to the end, with time to spare, and then they f*** it up. The whole wood thing I thought was really funny.
  7. Damn ducky, I was going to bring a couple of HoneyCrisps. *pout* *pulls out a sharpened #2 pencil* I'm ready! I studied all night and everything! For the record, what I studied:
  8. *puts an apple on teacher couchie's desk* What? I'm going to need all the help I can get on this test....
  9. muski -- I didn't think of that, but you're right! It could be the phone book....I guess I had better preorder now!
  10. Well, that was another cool episode. I'm glad Mel was able to do the flight challenge to keep them in the running. I was actually rooting for the hillbilly couple at the end; the flight attendants just seem so dense. I still like the brothers a lot.
  11. I'm not going to pre-order JUST yet.... There have been more than a few times when something was presented as a preorder, and then....nothing. It seems like "The Ugly Duckling" was one of those times, but I could be misremembering. I believe there were others too, but the names escape me. Anyway, I'm going to give it a week or so. By then, the entire Clay Nation will have the entire track list (HA HA) and I'll order then. And if I can't pre-order by then, I'll just beg my friends to help me. LOL.
  12. Hee, that's OK. During the Independent Tour, with Kelly, Clay first sang When Doves Cry. I want to say that when Clay was the "closer" for a particular show (ie., Kelly's set first, Clay's last), the band put a musical interlude toward the end of the song, and that was when Clay introduced the band. More than a few fans had problems with this, not because they felt the band didn't need recognition, but because they felt it ruined the "flow" of the song -- meaning, IMO, that Clay stopped being "hawt" at that moment to do those introductions. It wasn't a big deal to me, although I did laugh about it at the time. If anyone can provide a clip via YouTube to help clayzy, that would be great.
  13. djs, try "Good Night and Good Luck." It totally changed my feelings on George Clooney -- I didn't remember him from Roseanne, but he was the "cad" character on ER, and I don't like "cad" characters, so I always thought he was just a "pretty boy" too. I will say that he does tend to play the same type of character over and over -- but he does it well. couchie, Eric Robert's character was killed off in Heroes during season two. To me, he's one of those character actors that, when he pops up, I go "hey, that's Eric Roberts." Reading on imdb, he's got a role in The Dark Knight, which is coming up next on my Netflix queue. (Saw Robert Downey redeem himself via Netflix too, with "Iron Man.") Scarlett, I've loved your posts these past few days. I think instead of celebrating, Clay is probably asking himself the questions you've asked. Since there is the unknown of "no label," it's an interesting time for him. He could reinvent himself, if he wants. He could go in a new direction --TV show? Broadway full time? Full time father? The possibilities are endless. I think I'll just wait and see.
  14. That's the way I think about it too. I truly think that what will make him happy, more than anything else, is for his foundation to carry out its mission to the best of its ability, the same with UNICEF, and that Parker is able to live a good life. I believe, with my whole heart, that Clay has it good in so many ways. He's got a son (and where are those pictures? Parker's aunties want to see!). He's got a good friend that gave him that son. He's (supposedly) got a really cute and talented boyfriend. I would venture a guess that he's got money socked away to live comfortably for a while. And right now, I think he's got time, time to plan what he wants to do next. Lucky man, I'd say.
  15. Thanks jmh -- I've been waiting until your recommendations to get WTOW on my iPod. Can't wait!
  16. I'm with you, annabear! Clay -- I have faith in you. I have faith in those around you as well, for you seem to choose pretty well IMO. I will always be there for you, in whatever comes your way.

  18. You know, sometimes it's really, really hard to be concerned about Clay's career when your own career had a "come to Jesus" moment -- which is what I had today. I have to find it in me to get myself back on track, and fast. I don't need to be perfect with what I need to do, but I've got to find the strength in myself to just do it. Anyway -- I too think speculation is fine, to a point. However, I've seen way too many times where speculation becomes fact in this fandom. It happens with Clay's career -- "OMG, Clay's leaving RCA!" ad infinatum until it becomes truth. It's happening the same way with Clay's personal life too. The thing is, we don't know, and we will NEVER know, what is going on in Clay Aiken's personal OR professional lives. We can't control it. So, sometimes the speculation IMO becomes counterproductive. If the speculations can stay speculations (the letters "IMO" and "JMO" should be used liberally), I'm pretty good. (BTW, lots of royal "we" there...) justclay, yeah maybe RCA put him in a box with his musical stylings. But, I always add two things to this: 1) we don't know how much Clay himself has put that box around him. To me, he tends to like the ballads, he tends to like music with orchestrations and melodies. So while there probably was a "mandate" (ew, I said that word), he worked with it and made it work best he could. 2) I tend to believe that pretty much ALL record companies put their artists in boxes. They aren't in it for the art, they are in it for the money, and right now, they are literally just throwing things at the walls to see what sticks. I really don't think the music business knows what it is doing, and it may be a good time for Clay to hang back a bit to see what shakes down. Honestly -- I don't know what Clay's career plans are. I almost want him to totally back away from it for a while, just to give some fans the "come to Jesus" moment I mentioned earlier in my job. I love him dearly, am totally overinvested in some ways regarding him, and yet, if he left, I could handle it. (And probably pull my real job back into major focus). I'm not so sure about others, and I sometimes think some cold water would help. Now, do I really think he'll back away? Nope. He's said he's got plans for the year. I believe him. But I'll wait. Patiently. And I'm not going to speculate what him wanting to know about the dates for the Independent tour are. Sorry for the downer post. justclay, in preview I see a new post from you, and I DO agree with it.
  19. Checking in at the reference desk real fast (please don't tell on me!) to suggest that someone point out the FCA timeline to him! LOL!
  20. For Fear: According to the CH archives, this picture of Clay and Diana DeGarmo was taken on October 3, 2006. That's probably about the time of the Martha appearance.
