  1. Ghost post from Ansa (who is having the same problems luckiest1 is having on her work computer): She misses everyone on FCA, and she's loving all the favorite clips! ___ OK, I'm cheating. I'm going to add another clip. As many of you know, I'm mostly a "love that funny guy Clay" person. His humor gets me every.single.time. So, most of my favorite clips involve some sort of banter and/or cuteness by Clay. However.... There was one performance one night that brought me to tears. Ironic really, because I wasn't at the show, I've only seen the clack. I rewatched it again today, and it still brought tears to my eyes. It's from the JNT 2005, in Atlanta. This was the day that they found out Gregory was sick, and they had to scramble to get another kid to do the show. Whenever things like this happen during a tour for Clay, he seems to put on an extra special performance, and this one, IMO, is killer. Scarlett, I hope you don't mind that I uploaded this clip to YouTube. Removing link until I can get it to work properly Crap! It uploaded just fine, and now it's not working! I'll keep an eye out for it being available again....
  2. wandacleo reminded me that I need to go SHOPPING at some point to get a new outfit for Spamalot. Gotta look good for boyfriend! (And for some reason, my husband ALWAYS notices that I buy new clothes when I see Clay. Hmmm....) Those were both fun to watch. Don't even remember the hula hoop one. You have some surprising favorites. I try to picture "favorites" that no one else even thinks of. In the case of the hula hoop one, I'm sure I have fond memories of it because of the excitement for that day. It was the first time we were going to be hearing songs from the new album on our teevee, and the ClayNation has a whole was just pumped. Then, he did that surprise little commercial, and my heart skipped a beat. As for the Baltimore Christmas clip -- I just simply love the way he knows a portion of his fandom. He almost takes a "preacher" tone for some of the descriptions, and I found that hysterical. I also think this is a good clip to laugh at ourselves too. I did love that one too -- one of the few times I think Clay was truly speechless. I seriously considered saying this as well. That whole interview was so magical. He looked hawt, he was charming, he was funny, he was flirty, and he was smart. Sang good too. Amazing day. I still haven't deleted this off my DVR, after a year and a half. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for the people seeing Spamalot today -- laljeterfan, CG and jmh123 (a Spamalot virgin!). I hope all three of you enjoy yourselves like crazy! ETA: Got my fanclub stuff today! I love the tote bag -- it's really nice!
  3. For skybar: I think that would be my third choice as well. It was chilling to be there. luckiest, I loved the St. Louis air drums clip so damn much too. I need to find that!
  4. For laughn: Brianna (age Four) singing Without You with Clay in Raleigh For the Canadians: Preorder the new album from Amazon
  5. I don't have my three clips picked, basically two of the three aren't in YouTube yet. But....I can link to this one. It's an early one, and I don't know why exactly, but that "ooops" he did is just so freakin' cute to me. Hula Hoops anyone? OK, I found the second one. This is Banter from the 2006 Christmas show in Baltimore. Again, I don't know why, but this whole exchange just cracks my s**t up. So much so, that if you look at my location here, you'll see that I still think about one line he does there a lot!
  6. Yikes! Glad you made it safe, though.... Oh good Lord, I honestly didn't even make a connection to Clay on that. Swear on a stack of Clay Rolling Stone magazines. Yeah, let's do it! We can cab that, right? Hee! I just did that the other day myself. Well, heck a row C popped up for me, and I couldn't resist that, could I? New thread title poll at the top of the page. Please vote!
  7. I wish this place was closer to the Shubert, because I think it would be perfect (CG, are you a vegetarian that avoids dairy too?). I've seen it on the Food Network, and thought that it sounded like a fantastic place to eat! S'MAC
  8. Easiest answer to the question: Clay says it himself. A lot. Anytime someone says to him "you can dance," he says "no way." I honestly think he'll never change with that either. Personally, I'm with luckiest in that I think he moves pretty well, and I think with training (such as what he's getting via Spamalot), he'll get better. But I sincerely think he'll NEVER EVER fully admit to "being a dancer," or even "I can kinda sorta dance on occasion." I think much of that is his way of playing down things -- his self-deprecating humor.
  9. Thanks for doing that 00lsee. I also pulled out a few this morning too: keepingfaith: Newsday review: Associated Press review:
  10. LdyJ, you are welcome to take it if you want it as I remain in your debt -- long, long time. I'm sure I can find another picture JUST AS CUTE! He has a tendency to photograph CUTE !!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Nah, I'm fine with you having it....as long as you try to post once a page, so I can stare at it. *g* Besides, I like my "cute Clay trying to sign almost-as-cute-as-Clay Tom" avi. You know, I was thinking the same thing. I think for me it's just I'm finally used to it. Oh yeah. That smile. He simply lights up when he smiles, and that makes me just smile as well. Does this mean he's changing record labels?
  11. luckiest, the March 30 for playbiller should be the 7:00 show. I should know, because I'm going to go with her on that one (even though I don't have tickets yet...) She is then being a sweetheart and letting me stay overnight with her. I get to meet the puppy!
  12. I'm bummed that I'm going to miss Chris S. too. I've heard so much about the good camaraderie (sp?) between him and Clay on stage. *sigh* Thank you kf for bringing that picture over! Good Lord, is that man cute. And his smile lights up a thousand Broadways. But damn kf for stealing that picture as an avi. I still love you! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Oh well, I just changed mine a few days ago anyway... CG, sorry to hear about the crappy weather forecast. But I'm sure Clay will still be cute, and that's got to count for something, right?
  13. Can someone PLEEEEESE find the original of that picture for me? I NEEEEEEEEEEEED it badly. Used to bowl in a league, about 6 years ago. I think my average was 145. Camethisclose to a 200 game one time. I think I choked too. *g* Now, I just bowl with the Wii. Love that. Wii's are the best video game systems ever.
  14. American Idol Extra This is on the Fox Reality Channel (cable). I wonder when this episode with Clay will be on; the website doesn't suggest anything at the moment.
  15. I do think that is the picture. And remember how for a while that one had to be on every freakin' page? Just had to? And then there was this one, that just had to be on every page for a while as well. In multiples, no less...
  16. What happened on that day? I am doing my best to catch up on what everyone already knows.... I already impress some people , well okay, NJUs... with my knowledge about Clay.....of course they don't know where I get it all from.... Wasn't that the day of the (now deleted) post claiming Clay was buying real estate in Montana or some such place? That was then linked to lots of other boards? Or was it the day we were first with a sexy pic that got linked a lot? (one of Muski's favorites) You might be right, being as how you had intimate knowledge of this. Heh. I've been looking into this issue. The "Clay buying a house in Branson" thing was at the end of August; so was the infamous "Clay unzipped" picture. Both of these brought a bunch of new members here to FCA -- some who even stayed! :F_05BL17blowkiss: But I've looked at our archives like CRAZY, and cannot for the life of me what happened at the end of September that caused the influx of people visiting the site. Yeah, I do too. As much as I love my iPod, I really do like have the liner notes and such. The reason for this doesn't come through in the editing of AIR. In the original broadcast, Clay was the last person to sing -- and they were running real short of time. Hence, they only let Simon speak. (Piffle) The AIR edit doesn't let you know that. Well, I just found out that I've scheduled my trip to NYC at the worst possible time, actually. I have a summit that I'm in charge of, and that is April 8. OK, I can get a lot of work done on it before I go March 28-31. But nooooooooooo -- NOW I find out that I have to write a program plan for the library and have it in to my boss April 4 as well. Considering I've never written one before in my life....I'm sick to my stomach over this. But there is no way in HELL I'm canceling my two days off work to see CLAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I'll just have to keep my nose to the grindstone. In other words, no searching the FCA Archives for a LONG while. *g*
  17. I usually buy multiples of almost anything Clay does! Hee. Of Clay's CD's, I actually usually buy "too" many -- of course, that helps him, but I do have 3 of all his CD's sitting around, I think. I usually get one for my car, one for my house, and one that I keep hermetically sealed to keep forever as an archived copy. (Also, hoping that when I'm 85 and need to pay for my nursing home, I can sell it for ooodles of monies.... *g*) Now that I have an iPod, I'm sure I'll also get a copy from iTunes. I will also probably buy a few copies of his new album for a few people who I know will like it, or have talked to me about liking Clay. But that's just me. As for your other question CG, I've been trying to search archives of message boards, to no avail. I think couchie's theory may be correct, though....it was TBD for a LONG time. Thank you Hannah for the great interview regarding Clay! Very cool! And I think this is definitely thread title material:
  18. I just had a very brief chat with Ansa. She and the girls made it to the Philippines safe and sound, but she was suffering from major jet lag. She will be checking in periodically, hopefully getting a stable wireless connection set up. Hey! There are some birthdays today! soulsistah4Clay, may you have a fantastic day! And then there is one of the "silent" members of the eHP -- PerusingOne! Happy birthday!!!!!! Man, some of those stage door pictures of Clay are very nice! The blond hair right now looks VERY soft, and that makes him look really, really good. *sigh* aikim, sorry you are sick, and missing work. *hands out chicken soup* merrieeee, I have no idea what picture you are talking about. Maybe someone could post a copy of it to refresh my memory? *ducks*
  19. {{{{{{{{{{{{couchie and mom}}}}}}}}}}}}} laljeterfan, have a fantastic few days! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Recaps and pictures galore....I don't have time to load the pictures into my photobucket, so make sure you click on the links! from MLK973 at CH from Ms. Marm (CH) more from Ms. Marm (CH): scrpkym at CV wrote: butterflyshine at CV wrote: butterflyshine wrote: AustenFan at CB wrote
  20. Has anyone heard from couchie today? I'm a bit worried for her.... Everyone should do what they want to do regarding the pre-order of Clay's next album. However, I do follow play's logic -- IMO, it should be a slow and steady build-up to the release (I've been taking lessons from muski, did I do good?). Mass pre-orders now, followed by very little? I don't think that builds quite the impression that many of us want. muski, that is so great about the young people at your daughter's school. They rock. FromClaygary -- BWAH! BTW, I lurve jmh a LOT.
  21. Kareneh, I'm so glad your adventurous morning turned out OK. Did you ever get a shower? Hey! That's it!! Kareneh could write up her adventures in Baku, we could publish them and then sell them for gas money for that RV!!!! Oh my. Perma, you are the best. Really. I know you were having a crappy day, and here you are, making my day end on a perfect note with that picture. Wow. :F_05BL17blowkiss: I'll take Kim's share. What? I'll have what she's having. Hey cha cha trusty, take a look at my new avi. Had it since this morning. Hee. Amphitheaters, eh? I'll be OK with that -- if I can survive the Boston JBT *waves at Perma, couchie, and all the rest that were there that freakin' hot night*, I can survive anything. Survive the crash, survive the burn. *g* Actually, I'm more concerned with the timing -- late July is good for having some money saved up again after NYC....but possibly bad for me with work. Harumph. ETA: posted by RunningFree (CH)
  22. Why of course, you can! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Especially if you keep posting pictures like this.... Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire...that man is gorgeous.
  23. From Beagle3 at the CH: While I will be getting color covered ones at the end of the month, I'm a bit bummed that they didn't have these ready to go in January when I originally ordered a couple. Le sigh.
  24. I don't think you did. I think wanda is talking about the interview with Linda Loveland last week, where Clay "showed off" his underwear and tights. If I'm wrong, I'm sure wanda HAD BETTER LET US KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because if there's a new video clip out there, with Clay wearing said items and showing them off...well, I'm writing off work for the day.
  25. Thank you for the new avatar catsmomsny, ldb51 and luckiest1! Hee. ETA: Cute recap from Sunday evening's show and two gorgeous pictures:
