Non-refundable. AND, we've bought airline tickets and paid for hotel.
(SOB!)
Well, I suppose the theater will reimburse us if Clay is out and we can go see another show, but my heart is breaking! I hope he's back for Sunday. SURELY he will be!!!
I called telecharge and the guy said that the producers didn't indicate that Clay would be out any days, so there's nothing he can do about the tickets.
CRAP!!!
Oh well. It's a good thing I like NYC.

OMG!!! I just realized I have tickets to Spamalot the weekend of the GALA!!!
ACK!!!!!! Jesus--we spent a fortune too.
I think I'm going to cry.
-
Cindilu,
I'm positive that you're right about Spamalot. I know Claymates were clustered up front because we had the good sense to get tickets months in advance, but the theater was full every night I went--so it couldn't have been just Claymates.

Well, a wise and well-hung young man once said, "Perfection takes TIME, honey!"..
Wise.
Great.
Wise and well-hung.
Priceless.

Luckiest, Thanks! Here goes. It will be a miracle if I get it on my first try!
This is my newly redone office. I sit at my desk and look right at Clay!
F#$K!!! I can't make the frigging picture show up. I've selected the picture. Gone in and copied the URL. NOW WHAT? I've tried pasting the address into both link and image. No frigging luck.
ETA SUCCESS!!! Although I can't figure out how to get the thumbnail!!!

I can never remember how to post pictures from photobucket. Could someone take pity on me and give me directions.

Since none of us know shit about what really goes on in Clay's life and loves, I think it's perfectly fine to think he's married, not married, in love, not in love, has a traveling baby, has an at-home baby.....whatever....as long as it's just speculation and not laying judgement on his head or insisting on a point of view.
I don't know one single thing about the private man.
My only hope is he's getting it from someone because it would be such a waste if he's not.

I'm right there with you, Couchie.
I'm so schmoopie over Clay and Parker (Clarker?)! I can't imagine Clay letting this little sweet thing out of his sight.
-
You know, if Clay were predictble, he would be boring.
I love that I don't really know shit about him. He's this wonderful mystery.
With a great package.

I hate all the miserable whining complaining bitches who try to make everyone as negative as they are.
Piss on them.
I'm going to NY and NO ONE is raining on my parade.

Here goes:
In NYC October 14-20.
Got Spamalot tickets for October 15-20 (7 shows) and got tickets in first 3 rows for all shows. The ticket person tried to put me in row 10 for one show, but when I asked about tickets in the side sections, there were seats available in B 101-103, and those are GREAT seats, so keep the sides in mind if you can't get tickets close. Fortunately, if you buy early, you should do well.
Hotel: Hotel Newton ($252/night and $300 on Saturday and Sunday). This is the room with 2 beds. Others are cheaper. The reviews looked pretty good and TripAdvisor lists it as #78 out of 350 NYC hotels. Most reviews said it was clean. Bus stops right outside and subway station is a few yards from hotel. The hotel is at 95th and Broadway in the upper West side. I reserved through Cheaphotels.com, but had to pay in advance to get a cheap rate--but I can cancel if nec for $25.

Is there a thread somewhere where we can post when we are going to NYC and where we're staying so that we can meet up more easily? I so much enjoyed our gatherings last time!
I finally made reservations at Hotel Newton (up in the upper West side) because Cheaphotels.com had a special. I hope it doesn't have bedbugs. I called and asked if the place was clean and the man who worked there said yes.
He said it with conviction, so I'm going to believe him. (Ever hopeful.)
WARNING: Do NOT make reservations at Hotel Pennsylvania. Bedbug heaven.

I've bought my tickets for NYC--October 14-20. I stayed at a godawful hotel, so I would love some recommendations for CLEAN reasonably priced hotels near the theater (if possible) although we took the bus before and that was ok, but we want to stay in Manhattan.

New York!!!! My claybuddy CarolJean and I are going in October. Checking dates. Making plans.
Last time we wasted money seeing two other plays. Not this time. Clay all the way.
Oh, I'm so frigging excited! What a great way to spend time with Parker and make money too! (Clay, not me)
-
FearofH20, I think Clay looks darling in that shirt and those pants--God knows we've seen them enough!!!!
-
I assume Clay is putting his money into a college savings account for Parker.
He sure isn't spending it on clothes.
-
As long as it's not SantaClaus.
I have a sentimental attachment.
-
I'd kill for a Christmas tour.
-
I've had very close platonic male friends.
None as hot as Clay, however.
-
Maybe, right this minute, Clay is holding that little tiny guy on his chest, over his heart, and kissing his little head.
I don't care about anything else.
-
Just to clarify. I don't think anyone has the right to be "disappointed" in what two decent legally adult human beings decide to do with sperm or procreation. It's nobody's damn business but those involved. Jesus Christ. Clay owes us NOTHING related to his private life. He's a person in his own right, not a piece of public property.
-
How people dealt with what happened is on them, not Clay. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation of his personal life -- nor should he base his life on how this effects the fans. Especially on something this important he should think of himself, and his family. We aren't his family and none of this should effect us in a personal way. IMO. Like I said earlier, I have sympathy but really it only goes to a certain point. Clay had to deal with shit thrown on him at his own fan site, and on the mother of his child. He doesn't owe the fans any more consideration than he chose to give. All IMO.
No shit.

Does anyone know HOW to call the box office. I can't find a direct number. I just get Telecharge.
