  1. Good Morning Everyone, 46 Days until Clay is Live at Lincoln Center! 57 Days until Clay Tapes The Skating Special! 77 Days until The Christmas Tour Starts! 103 Days until Christmas in Merrillville! 106 Days until The Skating Special Starts! :whoohoo: Everyone have a great day! Kim
  2. Kim left a bad taste in my mouth with her first CD and the duet with Clay; just seemed like it was done to get Clay fans to buy her CD and increase her sales and I hate that kind of manipulation. If they had done a duet on her third or fourth CD, I could see that, but on a first CD it just comes across like they knew she didn't have a big fanbase and wanted to tap into Clays and I think that stinks. It kind of makes me sad that some of you think those of us who are truly upset by this news are a form of amusement; I find that rather disrespectful of our opinions. Kim
  3. Not to mention bringing up the whole anomoly thing again and fan wars...sorry, but this just really depresses me. Kim
  4. That would probably be the first Clay tour I miss, not a fan of Ruben or Kim and I think this would be a step backward for Clay. Kim
  5. I think this is what she is talking about: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k93/purr62/Reunited.jpg Kim
  6. that might be the wrong link??? :medium-smiley-070: Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know what she is talking about and that link just confused me! (oh yeah, and just no!) Kim
  7. I think part of the disappointment regarding the ice capade (pun intended) at Wolftrap is that it was during WDC and many felt somehow cheated that they didn't get a really hot version of that song that night, but got hi-jinks instead...Angie actually ran off stage at one point to avoid Clay and the ice and I do think that some thought the whole thing was rather juvenile...I thought it was pretty funny myself, but I can see how some would be disappointed. My favorite WDC moment was in Vermont when Felix called Vermont a city during his shtick and Clay was laughing so hard during the choir robe segment he couldn't sing. I watched that clack a lot. Kim
  8. When I say "rockin", compared to JBT and Clay's other tours, SRHP, was not really a rockin tour. And I do think, because JBT was the last summer tour Clay did, that some fans were comparing the two and I just don't think you can. I don't think he will ever have a tour to compare with the JBT and if there were some fans who were expecting JBT 2, than yes, I can see how they would be disappointed. SRHP did have its rockin" moments, but nothing to compare to previous tours. Kim
  9. Don't get me wrong, I love ATDW, but the songs are not really conducive to a rockin' tour and even thought I think Clay was very proud of what he did with those songs, I think he had concerns about basing a tour on those songs and came up with some novel ideas to make it work. I also think Clay gets bored quite easily and the TV Medleys and Classic sections gave him something he could change up and adlib on. Personally, I think by the end of the tour, he was pretty bored with the whole thing and that is why we get the giggling and goofing around through songs. Kim
  10. When this tour was first announced (amid much jubilation from the Claynation who had been clamoring for a summer tour since January); there was a lot of concern that concert was going to be slow and boring and that Clay was going to be the next Andy Williams. He had to tour with ATDW since that was his most ccurrent CD, but even he knew that they were mostly slow songs; not the get-up-on-your-feet and dance type of songs. So he came up with the TV Medleys, The Classics and TYYMMF; all designed to include the audience in the show and break up the monotony of the slow songs. I think it worked very well. I loved them all! Given what he had to work with I think he did a great job. Kim
  11. Good Morning Everyone, 48 Days until Clay is Live at Lincoln Center! 59 Days until Clay Tapes The Skating Special! 79 Days until The Christmas Tour Starts! 105 Days until Christmas In Merrillville! 108 Days until The Skating Special Airs! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  12. My absolute favorite AI2 moment! And I think it was pure brilliance on Clay's part to sing Grease in the second half and show how versitile he is ( no matter what Simon thought) Kim
  13. The AI UM is not one of my favorites due to the crap with Vincent; it really pissed me off that they added a verse to Vincent because they were short of time, when they could have let him sing the whole version of UM instead and I didn't like the arrangement; it felt like he was rushing through it. Kim
  14. Exactly aikim. I think it's because Bubel didn't come from AI and Clay did. Someday Clay will lose that AI moniker. That is why I hope he never sets foot on the AI stage again; AI5 was one of my favorite TV moments, but I really hope that was his last appearance on the show. Kim
  15. I never have understood by Buble gets a pass on doing cov....er...standards and Clay does not. Is it the Canadian connection, David Foster? Kim
  16. Good Morning Everyone, 48 Days until Clay is live at Lincoln Center! 59 Days until Clay Tapes The Skating Special! 79 Days until The Christmas Tour Starts! 101 Days until Christmas in Merrillville! 104 Days until The Skating Special Airs! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  17. Good Morning Everyone: 49 Days until Clay is Live at Lincoln Center! 60 Days until Clay Tapes The Skating Special! 80 Days until The Christmas Tour Starts! 106 Days until Christmas in Merrillville! 109 Days until the Christmas Special Airs! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  18. Karen Best of luck to you and your husband on your new venture! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Kim
  19. So now we are talking sad movies? Don't watch sad movies, I am more of a Musical girl myself and black and white movies from the 40's (Casablanca is my all time favorite), but I will admit that It's a Wonderful Life, gets me teary-eyed everytime. Yay! for the Omaha date! I am only doing Merrillville, but I am happy for those in the area! Kim
  20. Good Morning Everyone, 50 Days until Clay is Live at Lincoln Center! :whoohoo: 61 Days until Clay Tapes The Skating Special! :whoohoo: 81 Days until The Christmas Tour Starts! :whoohoo: 107 Days until Christmas in Merrillville! :whoohoo: 110 Days until The Skating Special Starts! :whoohoo: Everyone have a great day! 21. I watched Ryan's Hope; only because it was on before AMC and I watched Loving. Did anyone watch Edge of Night? That was a really good soap...was actually more like a daytime mystery. Larkin Malloy who played Travis Montgomery was on it...he played Sky Whitney, sort of the same kind of character and Sharon Gabet was Raven; Erica's counterpoint. Kim
  22. Growing up my mom watched all the NBC soaps, Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, Another World...I loved being home sick from school so I could watch with her. Then in the 70's I discovered AMC and that was it for me...Loved Tara and Philip...Erica was a true bitch, but you had to root for her...my next favorite couple was Tad and Dixie...and the best villian ever was Billy Clyde Tuggle. I watched General Hospital during the whole Luke and Laura faze and even watched One Life To Live for a while until I decided I was spending too much time watching soaps and then cut back to just AMC. I stopped watching AMC about 6 months...it has changed so much and when it got to the point where I was FF'ing most of the show and there were only 2 or 3 characters I could stomach, I decided it was time to cut the cord. But, I still keep up and love to go over to TWOP and read the AMC thread there. Kim

  24. Cindilu You're never alone, not a big fan of photoshopped Clay either. Who knew I wasn't the only one in the fandom that wasn't gaga over LAA? It is a beautiful song, but very depressing...I actually liked it better live; the recorded version has almost dirge-like quality to me. Sad songs...always turned the station when Wildfire and songs of those ilk came on...does anyone remember Teddy Bear? It is a country song and when my hubby was in his country music phase, he made a cassette (yeah, its been that long ago!) with his favorite songs and that was one of them...I hated it...just find those things manipulative and I hate being manipulated. Same thing with Home Makeover...never watch the show. Kim
