  1. I read the bio on the young man who is blind. Let just say he is has done alot. Besides singing, playing piano, and producing he had put out 6 CD's and has a long list of accomplishments. Not exactly an unknown, more professional then they lead you to believe.
  2. Couchie- Your Mom is in my prayers. I went through what you are going through 5 years ago. My mom is now 87 and has some limintations but has managed to live by herself with my sister and I being there as much as possible with both of us working. I also have two other sisters who both live out of state so they have not been around much. My one sister has offered to have mom come down to Kentucky for the next two month since it is warmer there. We are working on it and do not know if it will happen. I think it would do them both good. She has not spent much time with my mom and also she still has a 12 year old at home and a dog. I think it would give a different atmoshere for my mom who this time of year is stuck in her house since it is so cold and can not even go out to the mailbox since it is so icy on the driveway.
  3. Got to go to bed, 5 am comes early. Even if I get called off the phone will ring at that time. You are right, I have no idea what any of these people look like. I guess I am still with old saying if you can not find something good to say then do not say anything. That can be said for such nasty comments that I read.
  4. I have not worked since the beginning of December, between the Holidays and the times I was put on call because our census was low. I called them tonight and said I really needed to get at least one day in this week so try not to call me off tomorrow. Of course we may get up to 4 inches of snow and driving will be miserable. I really believe Clay does not care what people think in his choice of clothes. Everyone has their own style and most of the time I like his quirky choices. I also believe the statements from the people that were there that he looked great.
  5. I also went over to the OFC. Some of those people are nasty. Making statements that he is a popstar and should not be appearing like this. Who made them the fashion police. So he looked a little dorky, I think he looked cute. I sometimes would like to see what these people look like who have to make such horrible comments. Couchie I join you. I have been coughing for three days and my chest, back, and stomach hurts. I have tried everything. I just hope I can sleep tonight.
  6. I hope we get some pictures from tonight. Bow tie or no tie I want a picture of him. I also like pictures of him in glasses and yes I want to know what his hair looks like. I not superficial.
  7. I went over and read the blog on Carolina and then watch the montage. It makes me miss him even more. I hope he goes to Spam tonight. I enjoyed the cast so much when we were there. Nobody was out the first two performances I saw then Tom was out on Sat. night. His standin did ok, but he was not Tom. He really makes that part. I hope they all have job opportunities. I have a nasty cold, the first one I have had in a couple of years. I have not worked much since I census has been low, so I have not been exposed to all those kids. Most of the time they are coughing, sneezing, rubbing their runney noses on me and I do not get sick. My husband keeps saying he is not coming near me. We are going out and celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary today with another couple. I just keep drugging myself, so far nothing is working.
  8. I loved watching those videos. He is adorable. Can not lip sinc at all, so you know he will never do it in concert or tv because it would be picked up right away. He sure looked very thin and young. I did like his hair that way but for him it was probably hard to make it look good all the time. I will say that his body has matured very nicely now, his shoulders are to die for and I like how his face has also matured. Sometimes yet you look at pictures and he does not look 30 but 20. If I remember it was sendspace that gave us the problem with a virus. I just vowed not to go their again. Glad it was vaulted.
  9. Well, if we are talking being part of the band, give me the tamborine. I cannot read music, play an instrument, and can not carry a note thus can not be a backup singer thats is all I can do. I know now I should of taken piano lessons or something as a child instead I took 17 years of dance. When people would say to me why did I not go on and try to be a Rocket I would look at them and say,"ever see a 5 ft Rocket, I do not think so."
  10. I will pick July 10th since I will be on a five day bike tour and will not have any access to what going on.
  11. I am sitting here trying to type after I had the tendonitis in my arm injected this am. My whole arm is numb and the worse is my fine motor control. When I got into the car I had a hard time putting the key into the ignition. Driving home with the use of just one arm was different especially since we had snow last night and the roads are slippery. I liked most of the pictures from the party. Sure a couple were not as flattering but who cares. He looked liked they were having a good time. In most pictures he takes he looks great. We sure would not like every picture that was taken of us analized. I for one do not want him to take a long time off. I want a tour. He needs to get out and sing to build his career. It may be in smaller venues, but that may be what it will take. I know people say he can not tour because his CD did not sell well, but there are many people who tour who do not sell big numbers but still have a fan base, and even though we may be smaller we are still very supportive.
  12. I also got that virus scanner message, I kept trying to close and ignore and it would not let me so I just shut the computer down. I ran a virus scan with nothing showing up, I have had no problems with anything so far. I hoped with just shutting down took care of the problem, I did not download anything. I have injoyed all the recaps, I stayed up later than normal last night to read as many as I could. Ski patrol today came much to early. I just now relaxing, had dinner, went into the jacuzzi and just want to enjoy a quiet night. Work tomorrow.
  13. Can"t wait for SD clack. I got teary eyed when I thought of his final wave from the roof. I hope he is not gone long. I want the world for him. He is so talented and people need to see this. Like I said before I cannot wait for a tour. I hope it comes true, but if not he will surprise us again with something wonderful.
  14. Got up this morning, read some recaps from last night and decided I needed to get somethings done so I can be around when all the recaps come in today. Grocery shopping done, I went out in the freezing rain and took down my Christmas lights, and lunch fixed. I can not wait to hear all that occurs this afternoon. I have really enjoyed having daily reports and alot of pictures and video. I know it will be quiet for awile but am looking forward to the future and hopefully a tour. I just want to hear OMWH live.
  15. Love the recaps. I really miss not being there. Tommorrow I have ski patrol all day so I will not be able to read any till later in the evening. At least it does not look like I will freeze, it is suppose to be a little warmer and the winds calmer. I hate being cold.
  16. I was there during BC in November and thus no SD. I was lucky it was the first day that pictures were taken and I got my with Tom, Rick, and Clay for $50. That is all I had on me and if it would of been higher I could not have had it done. It is one of those things hubby does not know and if I had to charge it I would not of done it. I felt it was reasonable and really cherish the picture because I never dreamed it would happen. If it had been a week earlier I might of been lucky at the stage door but you never know.
  17. I love his quirky self. The first Sardi's picture I went what has he have on. Within a few I really liked it on him. He was so gorgeous that day. I love most of the pictures that showed up. Seems that there is only a few of us who did not go to the show this weekend. I hope we get many recaps. I am just so thrilled that I did see it three times on the weekend we went. It will be a memory I will not forget. My friend who went with me told me tonight that they have a tradition in their family that they write down on a piece of paper something that happened this year that they do not ever want to forget and they place it into a big jar with the papers from other years. She wrote that she loved her trip to see Clay.
  18. Well, my night is not anymore exciting. I did make supper, we had grilled salmon, rice pilaf, veg, and dessert. We just got done watching a horrible movie and now I do not know what we will do the rest of the night. Knowing my husband he will be asleep in about an hour. He said he is not staying up to watch Ryan since his musical guest are not that great. I teased him that the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift are on. He thinks they both suck, so that did not do it. The only one to him that sounded good was Lional Richie. I probably will be watching the ball drop by myself.
  19. Couchie You only can buy SRO the day of the show, but the show does not have to be sold out. We went on Friday night when we got there. The show was not sold out, we purchased our tickets about two hours before the show started. The ticket office was really nice. The gentleman told us how the standing room had a railing to lean on. Of course he picked on me being vertically challenged, and said I would have the railing up to me chin. He was pretty close. The railing was about there. What could I do, I am barely 5 ft.
  20. Some of those pictures are the best Clay has taken this run. I agree the eyelashes look awesome but I think I am in love with his nose and lips. They are perfect. The one picture I saw of his full body he is looking very thin.
  21. Looking at so many going closing night and I am so jealous. Would love to be there. I will be here waiting for any word on how it went. I know I have to remember my dream did happen in November, something I never thought would. Last Christmas Eve my friend had my husband and I over because It was also her birthday. That night we did the usual, lit the candles, had her make a wish, and blow them out. I teased her that I knew what her wish was and also realized that we would never talk our spouses into letting us go. When our dream did come true this year I had to remind her on this years birthday that we did get her wish. Now if only this time she wished for a tour. Must ask her that.
  22. I am waiting for this appears to download because I do not have cable or satellite, so I am out of luck to watch. It sounds like it was a great segment.
  23. The weather here sucks. We are going to get heavy fog with rain tomorrow. That will make the ski hill full of ice. Cannot wait to ski on Monday. I wish everyone that is traveling to NYC this weekend a prayer that things will work out. I know the fear of the unknown when traveling. I was thankful when ours went well in November.
  24. Smittenwithclay - CNA are a godsend. When I am at work and get really bogged down they do so much for me. For awhile they took our aids away from us. We as RN will responsible for everything including all am care, meds, treatments, charting, working with the Doctors and more. It was really hard to get everything done. I am so appreciative when our CNA come up and ask if they can do anything for me. Sometimes when I have three babies crying at once to be fed, just to have that extra hand is great. Our CNA roles have increased so much over the years. They do so much in a days time.
  25. Everyone who is taking care of an elder family member I can relate. My mom has good and bad days. She is 87 and loves Clay. I try my darnest to remind her when he may be on TV but her memory at times is not great. She will miss something and then be mad because I did not call her when it started. Sometimes she knows what time something is on but then cannot find the station. It happened for the E show. She could not find the station the night it came on. I could not help her because I do not have cable and also our area is on a different carrier so I had no idea. She found it the next day and told me a couple days later she actually watched it four times. I do not have the cleanliness problem, usually she will bathe herself and wash her hair with no problems. My husband installed railings in her tub so she can get in and out. I know there will be a day that she can not live alone but she loves her freedom to do what she wants, when she wants without people telling her what to do. My dad has been gone for 38 years and she has always been very independant. Got to love her spunk, even though at times it can get frustrating. It is harder for her to be out more and she gets tired easily. The last Clay concert I took her to was Grand Rapids in 2006. That one was easy since my sister lived there and her husband dropped us off at the door and picked us up there also. We were able to spend the night so the travel was not bad. Since then the distance for Sterling Heights and Kalamazoo would of been difficult. When I also took her to the JNT in 2004 my husband drove us, dropped us off, and picked us up afterwards. He went Christmas shopping while we were in the concert. We had a great time with our boys and their spouses yesterday. My DIL got me a pair of very sassy shoes, my husband just roles his eyes. I have over 100 pairs of shoes. I love them. These have about 4 inch heels, hope I do not trip.
