The story was Jemock's Go-Go Boots story. Kim

Totally agree with everyone here today; I have come to the conclusion that there are some in this fandom who are not happy unless they are worrying, angsting; mad at Clay, etc....it seems the word fun is not in their vocabulary. I am really loving his hair right now...I was never a fan of the bangs, so I am glad they are gone and I love that he appears to be going back to his natural hair color. Side note: Hubby is tearing the house apart for a DVD he bought today...he swears he set it down in our bedroom but it is no where to be found and I can't help him look because he bought it for me for Christmas. It was actually a nice day here today; the sun actually came out! Supposed to get cold for the week-end but none of the white stuff...Yay! Kim

I am going to be with other people, some who are not members here, need to check with them since they are my ride but I would love to be there! Kim

Good Morning All, No ice here on the south side of Chicago, just wet and raining; which is fine with me, I hate driving in ice. It is 34 degrees. 11 Days until Christmas in Merrillville! 14 Days until The Skating Show Airs! 27 Days until The BAF Golf Outing! 38 Days until Clay is on Broadway! Everyone have a great day! Kim

Without actually being in a Meet and Greet and hearing the tone of Clay's voice or what exactly was said, I think it is really unfair say he was "disgusted" or "pissed" or whatever...context is everything and since Meet and Greets by nature are prone to the filters of those there and since we always seem to get one or two versions of what was actually said...I think it is always wise to take it with a grain salt. He was asked a question, he answered it...that pretty much is all we can state as absolute fact. I agree that a blog would be the best course of action. Kim

I'll be honest too and say that if there is clack of Spamelot I will probably download it, but I really hope the fans are respectful of the fact that this isn't a Clay Aiken Show, that Clay is not the star and this an ensemble with other actors and not do anything to embarrass Clay. Kim

Posted by Spotlightlover at the CH: QUOTE NOTE: I have permission from CH mods to post this because apparently the truth was revealed sometime ago on the Clayboard and just didn't get around to everybody. I received an email from a fan I know. This lady was one of the M&G attendees who actually heard it from the horse's mouth. She wrote me that she lurks at the Clackhouse and was surprised at how many people here were still wondering about the shaved-arms secret. Here is what she wrote me: Quote: I was one of the lucky fans in that M&G at Canandaigua, NY on the 19th of July. I don't know why it's still not known to some of the CH members when it was revealed already by another lucky fan at the CB. I guess nobody had read, forwarded and posted it at CH. Honestly, it's not really a big deal or a big secret as many fans had already speculated about it correctly. Clay just liked to tease us at the time. He said that after watching earlier clips of the SRHP show, they saw that he was so "blindingly" white in most of them and it's not good for the show nor the video or the clack, so it was suggested to him to get some tan but it wouldn't stick to his skin due to his thick hairs on his arms and needed to be shaved. That's all there is to it. I have emailed her back to ask if he actually said it wasn't good for "the clack". If so -- how adorable. He shaved his arms for MEEEEEE!

I know exactly how you feel, I often feel like I am on the outside looking in and a lot of that does have to do with being burned so often, sometimes it is just better to read along and keep your opinions to your self...especially when they often seem to go against the mainstream...at least at other boards. However, here, I always find myself nodding my head in agreement to many posts that articulate very well what I am thinking. Kim

I think the difference this year is that this really isn't a concert; it is a Christmas Show; so I could see how someone would be disappointed if they were expecting concert Clay. Clay said in a M & G that if he were to do another Christmas Special he would use this format and that is exactly what it appears to be...a T.V. type show, not a concert involving the audience. Never having been to a "last show"; this has been an experience having to wait to see the show...I very much looking forward to it. Kim

I haven't seen the show yet so I can't really comment on the stories, flow of the show, etc....I do know that the clack I have seen I really love. Christmas is such an important time of year for Clay and since we get goofy Clay during his summer tours; I don't really mind him taking this time to do a show that is important to him...it doesn't always have to be about the fans and their wants and needs. Kim

Nope not at all; I am the same way. I have downloaded some clack...but I don't need to watch or keep every video from every show...I also do not listen to the cellstream...I did for Witchita...but lately it seems the connections are just not good and I just don't have the patience for that. Most times I just follow along in the thread (although it drives me nuts to have wade through umpteen pages of "I can't hear", etc.). But I am really looking forward to Merrillville and seeing this live. Kim

I was just going to post this, but you beat me to it! He sings this like a lullaby...just beautiful! Kim

I do think there is a tendency in the fandom for some to project their feelings on to Clay...Because fan A is feeling sad, depressed, etc. about something whether it be ATDW promotion, RCA, gnatty stuff...than Clay must be feeling that too. I think Clay is a lot stronger than some give him credit for...I am sure he has gotten pretty angry about stuff in the past couple of years, but I don't think he obsesses over it or let's it take over his life...I think he is very good at picking his battles and has probably learned the fine art of compromise; especially with RCA. I think this is pretty complimentary coming from Simon: (This is from CV) I haven't seen this posted from the Clayboard. If I missed it I will delete. QUOTE December GQ magazine (Bill Clinton on front) - Simon Cowell interviewed. Interviewer threw out names for him to comment on. Clay: " A classic example of somebody who was incredibly aware of the process; what you say, how you act. He was on the internet, I think, just about every hour, on every kind of poll available, knowing he was doing well. During the results show, they'd come to him, he'd put his hands together and look up and ask heaven, knowing full well he's going to sail through".
