  1. And it looks like his hair is darker which will make those who vehemently dislike the blond hair happy.
  2. Right.. Clay's performance of Still The One at The Hometown Connection 1999. Seeing him sing it, that voice, that presence, that skinny bean pole of a man in his performance suit which is way to big for him, seeing his obvious total enjoyment in performing and then hearing the enthusiastic response of the audience. Love it. claytonic Thanks for posting the video. Again...another accomplished musician I would not have heard about otherwise. Exactly...tho I have done my small share of bitching about various hair styles. Probably will again.
  3. From CH Raw Video of Ruben and his Fiance going into the church
  4. 2 years ago at a fan dinner at the DF Star Search I was talking with a couple from Bellingham or Seattle who had driven their Clay fan daughter to the Gala. They were telling me what a rough time their daughter was given by her peers in high school because she was such a Clay fan. Yes..for many young fans it is rough. I really hope that TC read fan boards other than OFC. I know I wouldn't be an internet fan of Clay's if the only on-line place I could read about him was the OFC. I have decided to come out of the cell phone stone age and get a ring tone for my phone. Where is a good place for me to get a Clay ring tone? Anyone? I don 't know anything about how to go about it.
  5. I just read this at CH Pink Armchair bolding mine
  6. Would someone please tell me what the IMG in means? I have finally decided to reveal my cluelessness and ask. In regards to the montage I agree with the view point that if Clay or his people do not like the association of his song with politics, then it is up to them to deal with it. Personally I am glad that so many thousands of people have been exposed to one of Clay's beautiful songs and think it would be wonderful if, as a result, SAU became a favourite first dance wedding song.
  7. In Tampa SRHP the story of Angela throwing down her phone in her hurry to find Clay's medication. In fact the whole of the part 3 of Best of Tampa Banter is a hoot. It includes "It's not necessarily a jump up and down take your Spanks off kind of show", asking the French horn player to be "proud of your instrument" and then looking so puzzled (riiight) at the audience's outburst of laughter and finally his introduction to LAL "You want to feel really bad? Listen to the words of this next song".
  8. I just caught up, having been away for just one day. claytonic This girl has an amazing voice for her age and I would probably not have ever seen her if I hadn't read about her here. Thanks "What's Opera Doc?" is my favourite Bugs cartoon. It was fun to see it again then get ready for bed with "Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit" running thru my head. I wonder how many people today know that it references a number of Wagner's operas and if more people did when the cartoon was first shown 50 years ago. Cotton Exactly. And since seeing him and hearing him gives me so much pleasure there is a little niggling worry that it might end. Sorry folks that's just who I am. I have a resistance to change but I do manage eventually to push the worry aside every time it pops back up. When I first discovered Clay on You Tube 2 years ago I was in a very vulnerable hurting place and he and his music got me through some rough times. Since becoming a fan and discovering this whole diverse world that is Clay fandom, I have made some good friends and have for the most part enjoyed my time mostly lurking on the boards. When the talk degenerates into angsting I've learned to rush back here. I wonder how many fans have come to depend on Clay so much for their happiness that they react negatively to anything that they perceive as being a threat to that happiness.
  9. Thanks ldyjocelyn Just in the last hour I have been able to view images from Photobucket and all the photos I was upset about not being able to see were from that site. Even the clay comics in the media section of CV were from Photobucket. But the Little Shop of Horrors photo posted last night which I could see was from broadwayworld. I was cursing Windows and wondering why I hadn't shelled out the extra money to get an Apple computer this time but at least this got me to run anti-malware software of my whole computer and now I can be fairly sure that my computer isn't infected.
  10. I came across a reference today on CV to Alice's My Space where there are some beautiful pictures of Clay. I don't know if this has been posted before but it is definitely worth a look. Once again l am experiencing problems with not being able to view photos on the boards tho' I had no problem seeing the pictures on My Space...it is very disconcerting and puzzling. I've tried a number of things and nothing is working including system restore.
  11. Oh dear..I too ventured out there today and sigh...gloom...doom and then came across this at CH. Such a sensible realistic post, I hope it's ok that I brought it over here where "Clay fans come to play".
  12. Piteous Poster is now Happy!! :nana: Thanks Cotton I deleted all but the most essential Windows Updates from today and everything now all OK..I can see Clay in all his manly pulchritude...well not all..but all he is willing to show us.
  13. Yep..that is it...now how to solve the problem...mmm. My little laptop has Win XP, which I much prefer to Vista, so I fired it up and OMG all those pretties! I think my favourite is GMA23 Thanks Cotton for providing the link and for answering my piteous no picture posts.
  14. You said you saw IMAGE IMAGE I just wondered if you tried clicking on IMAGE??? I just put the link in my post, I didn't copy and paste. It's not that simple. I'd have to save them, then upload them. I haven't saved them. Sorry. I wonder if you have popups blocked or something that prevents them showing up. ??? When I put my cursor over image the little hand does not appear so clicking doesn't do anything. This is so frustrating. At first I thought it might be that I wasn't logged into CB but that wasn't it and now I'm wondering if something I've downloaded from WinVista Updates has screwed things up.
  15. Oh, Honey! You are missing a whole lot of Purdy!! I don't know why you're not seeing them. Don't the rest of you see the pics??? ETA: HELP! Where is the Listening Party Thread??? I think two of us worked on the lyrics for this during the listening party!!! EATA: LOTUS! Did you try clicking on the IMG??? No...I don't see any photos and IMG what IMG? where IMG? Did you copy and paste any of the photos into your post cause I see none? I skipped over to CV in hopes of seeing something there and all there are are links to CB and still no photos.
  16. Cotton I don't see any pictures in this post and when I go over to CB all I see are image, image, image etc and no photos. Followed by posts proclaiming how beautiful these photos are. What am I missing here?
  17. And then there was DF Star Search where David Foster asked Clay 3 times to sing that note from UM. I still get amazed at how Clay does that. I agree except that any serious vocal training stresses the importance of warming up the voice especially if there are going to be those "power notes". Now I don't know if Clay means it when he say he doesn't warm up his voice before a performance but one of my fears has been that he will damage his voice over time by not doing so.
  18. Last night I watched "Listen". I got to see this duet at Sterling Heights and being a relatively newcomer to Clay fandom didn't understand why everyone around me was so excited. It was explained to me that this was the first time that Clay and Quiana had sung "Listen". Since then I have come to appreciate even more how special that performance was. Couch Tomato If I could suggest a fun video for your enjoyment this morning. We Got It Going On
  19. The masthead says Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana. We've seen the photo before. OMWH hair, grey linen jacket and I don't remember where it's from. ETA It's a cropped version of the photo of him and Rachel Ray.
  20. After feeling somewhat down today, I downloaded the Word of the Day clack from Charlotte. Can't say I observed anything in Clay and Jaymes behaviour that indicated anything more than good friends but I did get a good laugh. Clay really is more than a singer, he is an entertainer. from the Courier Journal Aiken: the next generation good picture too. Interesting how in the absence of confirmation, denial or any evidence this story is now reported as fact.
  21. Thank you luckiest1 and goldarngirl for The Best of Kalamazoo. What I have watched of it is beautiful. Once again I am so impressed with your skill at creating a synthesis of what, for those who were there and for those of us who listened to the cellcert, was a beautiful memory. Speaking of beautiful memories that last photo...that was Sterling Heights? With the low low cut jeans...mmmm.
  22. muskifest Just Clay's pokey chest hairs. Never been a fan of the hairy man look but there is something about seeing that little glimpse of Clay's pokey chest hairs that elicits a visceral response in me. It is said that the mere glimpse of a woman's ankle during Victorian times was enough to arouse men. Those of you who have a DH or DL do you react the same way or is this just a result of my being without a man?
  23. They can't even get the IVF facts correct. It's not eggs and sperm frozen separately. IIT Jaymes would have been given hormones to make her super ovulate plus hormones to make her endometrium thick and juicy and ready for implantation. Her eggs would be harvested and fertilized and the resulting embryos examined and graded and usually 2 of the best looking ones implanted. The remaining embryos are frozen. The whole process is uncomfortable and the harvesting of the eggs painful, you sure don't want to have to go thru it again if it can be avoided. And having frozen embryos does not necessarily mean that they are going to be used. Love the dreamy dad photo. There is something about that glimpse of curly chest hair that makes me fantasize ripping his shirt off. Be still my heart! :27:
