  1. Carolina Clay I went to your blog and saw Yollie950's montage, The Most of Our Time. Do you know where I can download this? I just watched your montage...yes..thud. Feeling as I did while watching it, I get more of a realization of how hard the Drought of 06 must have been for you all. Scarlett I love your T-Rex and when my grand daughter gets to the I am obsessed by dinosaur stage I am going to love taking her to that store. I ordered and received a OMWH CD from Amazon.com, ITunes as well as buying one on the day of release from HMV. Today I got an e-mail from Amazon.ca recommending ONMH because I had bought ATDW from them. Seems a little late to be reminding a potential customer. Any other Canadians get this e-mail?
  2. Yes, cute. I got a good morning laugh from this one..also Where Are You part 2 Exactly. My DIL just introduced me to Pieces of Flair on Facebook. I discovered that there are 7 pages of Clay Pieces of Flair. Mostly all good but there are a couple of Clay is not gay buttons. I do wish fans could just leave that alone. I also discovered that while on Facebook it is as easy for an hour to disappear as it is on Clay fan boards.
  3. jmh123 This is hilarious and just the break I needed from the IIT and IIU. Thanks. I will put in my 2 cents worth tho'...I am not going to believe anything until Clay or Jaymes tells us.
  4. goldarngirl and luckiest1 Thank you so much for your montage of the Sterling heights concert. My first Clay concert was such an overwhelming experience for me, I was in a daze after it and I wanted more. It was only then that I really understood why so many of you go to multiple concerts. Ever since I saw the montages you have made of Clay's concerts I have been wanting your montages of this one and now I have it. Tomorrow I'll burn another copy and send it off to my 90 yr old mother so she can see exactly why I was so thrilled to be going to Sterling Heights.
  5. Heh, I've never broken the 'tamper resistant' seal, but it lists peppermint oil as an ingredient, so maybe peppermint? What? Doesn't everyone carry theirs with them? What? Peppermint? I thought HE is allergic to peppermint. I was hoping it would be cinnamon.
  6. This morning I took some time to read the Clay Aiken thread on FORT and found this posted by Crystal during AI2. I post it here in hopes that you enjoy it as I did. Possible Clay Aiken Product Endorsements What comes after a music career is launched? Product endorsements, of course. Let’s consider the full spectrum of endorsements that might possibly cross Clay Aiken's doorstep. Weight Loss Clinics We have several testimonials of Clay being personally responsible for the weight loss of several women here at the FORT (me included, lost 5 pounds since the Wildcard show). Whether it’s because we can’t take time away from reading, writing, watching and dreaming about Clay to eat or whether we just want to look good in the off chance that we’d run into Clay on a street corner (yeah, I know, buy a lottery ticket, it's better odds – but people still win the lottery!), Clay has been the centerpiece of our success. Clay Aiken sponsored weight loss clinics – with Clay himself providing an occasional visit - will surely spur on masses of women to at least attempt to lose weight. Flavored Lip Gloss I know that Clay’s lip gloss hasn’t been a popular item among many of his fans here at the FORT, but if this product came with the chance to kiss Clay’s lips to determine the flavor, then I’m buying 6 dozen and taking out a second mortgage on my home to purchase stock in the company. Tennis Shoes Consider some hip styled shoes that look good both coming and going. Clay can put a pair on and then proceed to turn his right foot around (remember his “other talent” of being able to turn his feet backwards). You then get to see both the front of the shoe and the back of the shoe at the same time. This has the added advantage of enticing young boys ages 4-12 to purchase these shoes due to the intense creepiness of being able to turn one's foot around. Cosmetic Surgery Clay can be the poster child for the sensuality of mud flaps posing as ears. Men, young and old, will run to cosmetic surgeons to get their ears “pinned up” (as opposed to back) hoping to achieve the same sex appeal as Clay Aiken. Therapy Let's admit it now. We are all gonna need some intense therapy when those dreaded Clay Aiken withdrawls hit. Clay can sponsor Clayaholics Anonymous and Group Therapy Sessions across America (for that matter, around the world) as we all commiserate together. Faster Internet Connections Who else complains that they just can't download Clay's audio/video fast enough? Clay can endorse a faster internet provider. And even if it's not really faster, just provide us pictures of Clay while we are waiting and we won't even notice how long it's taking. Viagra for Women Well, actually, there's no product to sell here. I just want a 20 second spot of Clay Aiken on TV. That's effective enough for me. Fountain of Youth Mankind has been trying for years to find the so-called 'Fountain of Youth' and I gotta say that Clay Aiken is the closest thing yet to delivering on this promise. No matter what age we really are, I think we all feel 15 again. Thank you Clay. ---- I have yet to receive my 2008 fan club package. What was the flavour of the lip gloss?
  7. cha cha They sure made me gasp...thanks for putting them all together. luckiest1 I admire your fortitude in braving that crowd of fans. I have just returned from a wonderful weekend sitting under a blue sky, in the park at Jericho Beach listening to a wonderfully diverse selection of musicians at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. Even tho' I was soo tired by the end of 2, 14 hour days of music I still had to check in at FCA each night. I am not feeling very articulate right now. My brain is so tired. Being there hearing all that amazing music and those many beautiful voices helped put things into perspective for me. I think I am feeling a little easier about Clay and his career path. There is no sense in my worrying. The best thing is for me to enjoy whatever he brings us. Que sera, sera.
  8. This video was posted on YouTube yesterday. I hadn't seen it before. The interview was done at the time of Aladdin.
  9. Scarlett when I go to the Big bang Theory site there are no complete shows available...maybe because I'm in Canada, altho a site will usually state that. annabear In my area The Big Bang Theory reruns are on CBS Monday nights at 800pm When I look at those pre AI photos of Clay, I know that as a young woman I would not have been immediately attracted to him but if I had had the chance to get to know him, say been in the same class at university and then to see any of his Hometown performances, I would have been so attracted, his kindness and voice and humour and yes, the confidence. And I always preferred the tall skinny guys.
  10. Thanks for the video links this morning Couch Tomato and annabear. I had not seen nor heard the Will Smith video before and I enjoyed revisiting the Ft. Meyers WTLGD. Do you think that was one of Clay's practical jokes? playbiller thanks for bringing over Quiana answers fan's questions.
  11. Kimmel ATD definitely. When he sings in profile "I would do anything. Just believe it." it still takes my breath away even after all the times I have watched that video.
  12. I think that one of the big differences between now and 40 years ago is that the media is controlled by just a few corporations. There just aren't the independent major newspapers that there used to be. It is still possible to get the real news but you have to look for it and most people aren't interested in looking any further than their television sets. NPR has some good coverage but it is my impression that a lot of Americans have been led to believe that NPR is elitist or, God forbid, liberal. For those of you who live in the States, if you live close to the Canadian border things are a bit better on CBC radio and television but even our media has been negatively affected by these massive corporate takeovers. I do hope that Clay will appear on some television shows talking about his trip to Somalia, tho' I imagine that most shows would just want to talk about the baby daddy stuff.
  13. Ooops. I seen now that was already posted. I managed to miss out a whole page of posts when trying to catch up earlier.
  14. I wonder when this interview in the Sun-Sentinel took place. The date is July 6, 2008 Celebrity travel with Clay Aiken Information about his time in Afghanistan I haven't read before.
  15. He really didn't get it. Everlasting Love was the sex, dude. Thanks for this...I was wondering where on earth that image came from. (bolding by me)
  16. Interesting video posted recently on youtube A trip down memory lane. The ever evolving Clay through the years!
  17. Well there is a heck of a lot that we don't know about him but to quote Bookwhore Isn't that why fans have said "we came for the voice and stayed for the man"?
  18. I feel that I really should amend my original post on the subject of historical Clay fan posts. It really isn't that difficult to find one's way around LBFCA. Of course just as with the archived threads here it helps to know the important dates. I've just been reading some of the recaps of AI2 at TWoP. Wow no one escapes the scorn in those recaps. But some is really quite funny even while criticizing Clay's album and singing. It is just one person's opinion. And it's not as tho' Clay had any choice of songs for his first album. e.g. Ahh! So is this the reason Clay says he will never sing this song again?
  19. Thanks for all the suggestions on where to find early Claynation fan postings. OK I give up. What is TWoP ?
  20. During this time of next to no Clack I started searching for board posts...any Clay fan boards..of Clay's time on AI2. I would like to get a feeling of how the fandom grew from the beginning. Clayversity's threads start in Dec 04, CH in August 03, it looks like the threads here start in 05 and it is so hard to find anything in the LBFCA's threads. Can anyone give me suggestions as to where I can go to find this information?
  21. WORD to this, scarlett. It was hard to pick which of these photos I like the most and the one for me is G. I think he looks just stunning in that photo. The DF Gala took place just 2 1/2 months after I discovered that Clay Aiken existed, the beginning of my fandom . I didn't have to travel far at all, just the usual drive into the city and staying with my daughter. I did attend the Star Search event but couldn't justify spending that kind of money for a ticket to the Gala. Today I wouldn't give the cost a second thought.
  22. In your hand? In your hand? Honey, we gotta talk. Hey, I gotta stick up for Lotus here – a penis in hand can often be better than two in a bush. I’ve had beer – that is the saying right? A bird in hand….? But anyway, there is a certain feeling of power…. Okay, I’ll stop now. <g> I feel dirty. KAndre Exactly...it's a good place to start. Thanks for the laughs you all.
  23. It's BMUB for me and my favourite few seconds are from 57- 1.00 ..."waiting for you oo oo oo oo" So Yummy I watched some of NBC's Macy's Fireworks tonight and was so entertained. I got a chuckle out of seeing smilie faces created from fireworks as well. Oh My God! Claygasm that photo! My heart skipped a beat or two. Lordy give some warning next time. That 's a lot to take in for a woman whose been drinking wine and hasn't held a penis in her hand for over 5 years!
  24. Thanks for the picture laljeterfan. A physiotherapist once told me that it was not a good idea to forcefully twist off jar lids with your hands because that strong twisting motion overtime damages the finger joints so I went looking for a kitchen aid of some sort and found a product made by Zyliss that works a treat. Now that I no longer have a man around that I can hand the jar to, I completely rely on it, besides even if I wanted to, I find that I just don't have the same strength in my hands that I used to even after holding the lid under hot water. It has a 7"handle which acts as the lever. At one end in a knurled knob which when turned tightens or loosens up a ribbon of stainless steel which emerges from the other end. It even has a little rubber dohicky to help hold those small bottle tops. Tighten the steel ribbon around the lid, turn the lever and voila! open jar. I don't know if the item is still available. And for some Clay content, here's what I posted at LBFCA re the TINT versus Audition videos. It really was no contest for me to choose TITN. One of my favourite images of Clay, and I have yet to figure out exactly why, is at 1.1.13 in the video. The way he moves his head towards the woman doing his hair...gets me every time. There is something very tender, contented about the gesture...then again it might just be that he was exhausted. Also this video gives us 3 very different images of Clay. There is the vulnerable Clay in the tight tight sweater, the comfortable Clay in a living room setting being fussed over and then there is the tough Clay in jeans and a black leather jacket. I think that Mathew Rolston designed the video to appeal to the whole spectrum of Clay fans. Unfortunately, I think that Clay was dismayed by the leather jacket portrayal and that is why the video never made it to TV. I just have the edited QVC songs on my computer but I think he did respond to the host's comments on the TITN video in such a way that today he would have no problem with it. ETA: I love all three.
  25. To all of you south of the 49 parallel...Happy July 4th Ansamcw Thanks for your post on posting tone and for everyone who has contributed to the discussion. I find myself quite often deleting posts which I have started because I get concerned that the post will be seen as redundant, especially after logging on late in the day or perhaps my words may be misunderstood. Posting on a board, e-mailing etc is so unlike face to face discussion where body language plays such a large part of the communication. It's easy to see how misinterpretation can happen. And it's good to revisit this topic again and again. Wow bottlecap I am impressed at your getting these pictures of Clay's collection of plaid shirts. Do you have a special file dedicated to them or just a phenomenal memory? Thanks for them. Iseeme...what a tease. "Waldo-adjusting" picture shirt? How about posting it?
