  1. Huh??? :thsigns053: (I was actually looking for a puzzled smilie...this one looks a little pissed off which is not my intention) My...he is being diplomatic...and... there's nothing wrong and everything right with that.
  2. Hey Claynadians! Does anyone know what stores in Canada are selling The Very Best of Clay Aiken? Amazon.ca says "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." Was it ever in stock? It's not even listed on HMV or Chapters. I'm just wondering if it is going to be a limited edition CD and hard to find like AIW was and if I need to pay that extra to order it from Amazon.com.
  3. Kareneh I enjoyed reading your blogs on carpet shopping and have enjoyed all of your blogs about your life in Baku.
  4. Thanks for bringing over the photos of Reed's party. It's good to see Clay enjoying himself and I can't help but smile when I see his happy smile. It does look tho that he hasn't completely healed from his jaw operation. Now I know there are some Leonard Cohen fans among us, so, here is a link to an article by Jian Ghomeshi in the National Post Leonard Cohen talks women, age, and hallelujah Jian Ghomeshi’s feature interview with Leonard Cohen airs on CBC’s The National on April 14, Radio One’s Q on April 16 and on Radio Two April 23.
  5. Last night I was trying to figure out what it is about Clay that keeps me so involved as a fan? Why is it that he is the only singer I would fly across the country to see? What is it about his voice that grabs me every time? There are other singers with better voices, other singers who are stunningly handsome. Why Clay? I found this over at CV I think it partially answers those questions. Clay Aiken- Through My Filters
  6. I keep my iTunes on an external. You have to go to preferences, advanced, and change the drive letter for your iTunes library, and whenever you sync, make sure that the external drive and the letter in your preferences match. Change the drive letter in your iTunes if necessary. Here's some more detailed directions: How to keep your iTunes on an external hard drive. When I first started doing this, I was ready to pull my hair out a few times. I copied all the iTunes files to the external, but didn't get the path right for iTunes, or I forgot and tried to to sync after opening iTunes before attaching the external. (The drive letter in the iTunes preferences automatically reverts to C: if you do that.) Nothing was lost as everything was there on the external. I just had to get the settings right. Do these instructions work for a PC?
  7. "Playing with the wood"! I loved the look on his face as he said those words. OT This morning..sun is shining, garden clean up to be done and what do I start doing? I started watching Clack which I had burned to CD's..that was before I learned how to do DVD's. I downloaded a lot of this in small format which I'd now like to get in a larger format and cannot find. Does anyone know where I can find 03.07.15_TRL_TITN_BackstagePass?
  8. Elvis Costello's Spectacle has already aired on the Sundance channel and will be re-broadcast on CTV starting April 3. How's this for a little speculation, a little "I wish this would happen"? Clay meets with Elvis on 30 Rock and Elvis decides invite Clay to be a guest on his next series of interviews...if there is a next series. Spectacle...Elvis Costello with from canuck at CV
  9. I don't watch it either but I'll be there to watch Clay faster than you can pull a greased string out of a cat's ass!!! What??? Now this is a saying I've never heard before!! FYI I viewed this video on YouTube this morning.... so for any of you who drive near water
  10. From CV I do so miss him and now I must tear myself away to do my taxes...oh joy..not.
  11. I never saw the movie, but I did read all the books--A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Yeah, that's a great one! Wasn't that from "Mostly Harmless?" I love Douglas Adams, I was so sorry when he died so young. Did you know that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy started out as a TV show and then morphed into a book? He was so bad about deadlines and getting it written on time to be broadcast every week, that sometimes he would be writing it as the players were performing it. I read this in a really cool book by Neil Gaiman (another of my favorite authors) in a book about Douglas Adams called "Don't Panic." Actually, before the television series, it started as a BBC radio drama. My family and I listened to it when it was rebroadcast on CBC in the late 70's. I had it on audio tape which has long since disintegrated. We loved those books and each new one was eagerly anticipated, thoroughly enjoyed and shared with friends. I wonder if there is a small cafe in Rickmansworth that claims to be that cafe...I'll be there in early July while visiting my brother during my trip to the UK.
  12. Scarlett, the eagle pair are back in their nest on Hornby Island. There are no eggs yet but according to an interview I heard this morning the eagle pair have been very busy adding to their nest. Here is the link: Hornby Island Eagle cam FromClaygary Thanks for bringing those photos over. Ain't he purdy?
  13. Damnit I'm sick of winter. We had blue skies and sun yesterday. There were spring flowers in bloom in my garden and it was actually warm in the sun. Today...4" of snow on my deck...arghhhhhh!!!! Just a half hour drive, north of here? 10" !!! In this weekends Globe and Mail there is an interesting article in the book section. It seems that it is not just on singers' and actors' blogs where fans express outrage but also there are wars among fans of authors. Restless Readers Go Bonkers The article is written by GUY GAVRIEL KAY for you readers of fantasy.
  14. And thanks for asking that question clayzycoffin. I had not seen this video before. As for worrying about Clay. I'm not worried, just impatient. I would hate to miss seeing him should he tour this summer but I do have to make summer plans now. My two little grand daughters spent the weekend with me so I was not able to read much on line and did not have time to respond to Scarlett's questions about who do I trust when it comes to news. I have learned to take all news with a handful of salt. Over the years I have seen how news has been slanted, buried, ignored by major news media both print and television. I've witnessed the dumbing down of news and the concentration of celebrity news to the detriment to what is really important. As for news about Clay...if he or his representatives report it on OFC, I'll believe it. If I hear directly from one of my friends who are fans of Clay I would probably believe it. Altho when one fan who does not post here told me that the scar on his chin came from liposuction I just mentally snorted. Oh I am tired...must get to bed early tonite..Nana is not used to having the little ones by herself for 48hours.
  15. So that Clay Aiken Facebook with 4,389 fans is not a site approved of by Clay? and the person who set it up is being inappropriately rude with some fans? It looks so "official". The CANN has a poll. Which picture of the seated, hands clasped Clay do you like best. I was surprised to see how few have voted for piano guy, the one I prefer.
  16. Doing my morning rounds of the 3 boards I read and found this on CH. muskifest Not exactly a compliment but hey the chance of eating Clay Aiken...anyone here close enuf to Dallas to attend.
  17. Thank you. I'd like to live that way. I used to kiss slowly, my husband was a great kisser. Well, even if he isn't appearing in the area, we'll have to see if we Ontarians can get together with you when you're here! :bier: Now that would be fun. Water tank problem solved but the rat problem will take some time. Yuck!! rat smell hate it.
  18. This morning I could not get on the internet...arghh!!! The tech support told me I might not be able to get back on until next Tuesday! But here I am...there was a problem just in this area now fixed tho it was kinda neat to be chatting with a tech guy in Nova Scotia while he tried to figure out the problem. Discussed the economic state there, SlumDog Millionaire which I saw this week and what a lousy winter it's been. Thank you luckiest1 and goldarngirl for the gala videos. There are excellent, as they usually are. Thank you for the hours you both must have put into creating these for us. It's always nice to see new people posting here. Welcome Newbies I am hoping that Clay will be somewhere close to Toronto, like Sterling Heights, sometime in the first 2 weeks of August because I plan to be in Southern Ontario then. ..I know he won't be touring anywhere close to Vancouver. Now on to deal with the problem of a rat or rats under my house, one of the hazards of country living, and the problem with the water heater. I am reminded at times like this of how much my husband did around the house and property...I didn't have to think about these kinds of problems. At the same time, after having seen Slumdog Millionaire, I am aware of how lucky, how privileged I am to be living in this time, in this place.
  19. clayzycoffin I am really tempted by these lightweight, perfect for travelling netbooks....but none of the ones I've seen have a DVD player in them which means you can't play or burn any discs. I don't think they are meant to replace desk tops or lap tops.
  20. Have a great time you all, tomorrow. Wish I could join you. For those of you who enjoy the music of Leonard Cohen you can download from NPR a podcast of part of his concert at the Beacon Theatre...12 songs. Leonard Cohen, Live from the Beacon Theatre
  21. I just found this posted at CH, watched the video and found it very interesting and informative. I hope this is the way Clay plans to market his music. Fred Croshall: Indie vs Major
  22. I don't renew until July so I hope there are some lanyards and mugs left by then. Fortunately the bitchers and complainers at OFC really are the minority and it is possible to skim past their inflammatory posts. I don't find myself visiting that board very often but will still fork over the money just so I can rush over there when I read those magic words. "He blogged"
  23. bwah ok we did two cups of chocolate cake. My microwave is 1100 watts. But I know my microwave always take less time than instructions call for so I put the first cup on 80% power. Way too high. LOL. The second cup we put on 60% power and that worked better. My neice had a lot of fun playing and mixing it all together. She put whipped cream on it. Too rich for my blood but I did have a fork full. I'll ask you in recipe area about one or two things i wasn't sure of. I just got back from having dinner with some friends from where I used to work and maybe I'm just too tired but...I can't find the recipe area...I know it's here somewhere..please tell me where I can find it.
  24. I hope the cake worked for you...my microwave has right on the front ,800W High Power, so I can't get 1000W but the cake works fine at that lower power. The cake is good with vanilla yogurt if you don't have ice-cream. I actually managed to get two great seats for the Leonard Cohen concert. I guess I was very lucky.
