ldyjocelyn
The beginning instrumentation of this song REALLY surprised me...it wasn't what I was expecting at ALL. Of course that was my comparison to the original, which isn't fair. Clay's vocals...clear. Love the harmonies during the chorus. I love how he sings "I taste the tears...." Ansamcw
I was familiar with this song but didn;t really know it so don't know how different this version is with the original. I truly love the strings on this one.
ldyjocelyn
Nice glory note, Clay! Love the strings, build up to the final chorus. Great stuff. Also that "duh duh duh" really fast...can't describe it anyother way.
Couch Tomato
Amy and I are here! How do you put itunes on repeat..heee...
ldyjocelyn
I listened to the original a few weeks ago. Marx's version is much more piano based...Clay's rocks much more. That instrument at the beginning of the song -- is that a guitar riff? And how many of us are bouncing in our computer chairs right now with the beat? *g*
Ansamcw
Heee...I like the guita solo followed by the cello or whatever string instrument that is. This is not one of my favorite songs....I guess I do find it a bit plodding...but after a few listens the instrumentations and his vocals...the overall production really sold me... georgiaclay
Let the games begin, Georgia is in Da House. Not real crazy about the first song. I not particularly crazy about the falsetto voice, but it is lisenable. LOL.
cindilu2
I love this one, but I feel obliged to throw a whole LOTTA love its way for the vacationing luckiest1. This is her favorite song on the CD. I love breathy Clay so this song is music to my ears. Heh. The very last 'right here waiting' is just wonderful. Clay's phrasing is so unique - it's what makes him, well, Clay.

Claygasm
Amy and I are here! How do you put itunes on repeat..heee... Go to controls and then click on repeat one. I am being a good player and actually listening to RHW. :glare:
ldyjocelyn
I flove how he takes that glory note, and fades into a softer voice. That's a good vocal technique, right there!
Couch Tomato
Hey, all! Muski here....i got rHW to repeat although that doesn't make me thrilled. not my favorite by any means. i think clay has a tendency to sound nasally and he seems to be honing that craft in this song (imo)

ldyjocelyn
I actually think that one "yuuuuuuuu" he sings is...awkward. But I still love the almost everything about this song. I think it's a good start for the album. I'm holding my head in shame, for I didn't know luckiest1's favorite off the album was RHW. 20 lashes with a wet noodle! playbiller
Hey. I think this song is OK, I have no problem with how it is sung, but the instruments sound dated to me.
Couch Tomato
couchie here....i don't know how much i can bring to the convo..everything sounds great to me...heee
Claygasm
Don't like this song. His voice sounds all nasally. Its a very plodding arrangement. I get no "feeling" from him on it. I don't think I have listened to it since I flew to CA to see Muski and Kimmel. I just find it a very boring arrangement and his voice is less than stellar. Combine that with not liking the original and that's why its my least favorite song on the album.
ldyjocelyn
Five minutes to next song! And limited editorial comments on that from those who aren't crazy about RHW... !
