  1. Seriously though, won't that hula hoop get in the way?
  2. Loving the recaps guys, thank you! Anyone seen Muskifest lately? Hope all is well with her.
  3. Know I'm a bit late to the party, but EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Low voice Clay? EEEEEEEEEEEE! Suit looks great, as does his hair. Sort of not too tricked up or try hard? Just letting the man and his talent be the centre of attraction. So impatient for CDs & dVDs to come out!
  4. Great Speech - articulate, cute, funny, talented man.
  5. I've been mulling over songs that may have been included in Tried & True -- because what else am I going to do in my free time? I've gone through my iTunes files, and my books of CDs and the stacks of vinyl and considered every great song from the 60's that I think would fit Clay, and songs that haven't been done to death, etc. There are about 40 from that era that I'd love to hear Clay record, if not now then sometime in his recording future. But, there was that one song that when I listened to it I heard Clay singing it as clear as a bell and I'll never stop hoping to hear him sing it, if not record it. And my winner is ..... Jimmy Ruffin's What Becomes of the Brokenhearted. Can't you hear Clay singing that? I sure can. And when a song stays in my favorites for 44 years, that's definitely tried and true. If there's no R&B/Soul on this LP, then I'll wait for the day he records an LP dedicated completely to this motherlode of treasures. Oh wow Keeping,I hadn't thought of that one. Yes! (Along with WAMLAW - which I am not holding high hopes for...)
  6. Hey ChaCha love that church sign! Thanks for explaining "Bunco" I have heard it on some US tv shows and wondered what it was! That snow is just so foreign to my world! I must make an effort one winter to get to snow country. Cindilu and others talking about IE8 - Thanks. When I read yesterday you talking about upgrading IE, I went ahead and did it and then also deleted all "extras" ? Or something like that. Anyway it fixed my problem with IE (some weird error) and also - taadaaa- fixed the problem I was having with viewing links from emails. I can now view the kids school newsletters and also my news from trip advisor. Which (sob) I can't afford to take advantage of. Oh well, thinking of my (hopefully) lovely new house. BTW, I am not good with decisions and now I have to choose floor tiles. I am forcing my husband to come along even though he claims to not be interested so then it's not all on my shoulders!
  7. :04: Happy Birthday Luckiest :thbighug-1: To Annabear Glad to hear you're getting better. ChaCha that snow sounds like hard work! Umm...What are "Bunco" ladies?
  8. Wow you are a fast mover Merieeee. Maybe when you have done packing your house up you might feel like a little holiday at my place, you know packing up my overstuffed abode ... err ...enjoying the scenery and crazy hot/humid stormy weather..yeah thats right! Wish I was booking tickets instead.......
  9. Yeah! Thread title? That sounds quite poetic jmh. Maybe some of that passionate love letter that kf posted rubbed off on you? Thanks for that kf - beautiful.
  10. Hmmmmm - more to this story than meets the eye - do tell!
  11. Congratulations aikim. Sounds like an exciting year ahead!
  12. Also, apparently a bunch of other Idols are listed as well. Heee - maybe they got the work experience kid to write it up and he/she just listed all the idols they could think of. No fair getting our hopes up!
  13. Sure does look like a fun party. Tom Deckman signed our Playbills also - he was very nice and quite chatty. Great to see Clay out living his life . Happy Australia Day! We went out for the traditional BBQ to a friends place and they had gone all out with decorations and little flags in the lamingtons. I took a green & gold pavlova. A good time was had by all. Now I have to go get the kids to bed since school starts back for ds2 tomorrow. It will be his first day at high school. He is very excited and so am I. But still just a bit sad. Also, I can't believe I am old enough to have two high school kids!
  14. Hey ldyj at last I can help out on something! We stayed at the Embassy Suites (in about April 2008) and loved it. It was about a 10 min walk to both Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom stations. The staff were very helpful and the room was one of the nicest we stayed in - though to be fair we did stay in some "v.budget friendly" rooms in most other places. The area around it is lovely and we really enjoyed our time there. Wish I just happened to be passing by Raleigh in March.....It could happen... I could just set off to work one day and my bad sense of direction could get me on a plane landing in the wrong hemisphere!........Think DH would buy it?...Nah me either.
  15. You read my mind Couchie Thats something Clay and I have in common - when everyone else is stripping off for the beach I am covering up more than normal.
  16. Thanks for all the good tips Ladies! Fear, I have tried suggesting hiring a storage shed to my DH but he thinks I am crazy. I will just wait until his estate agent friend comes over and ask him , then he will think its his idea! Desertrose, funny you should mention that hoarders show because I was saying to my sister the other day that I should watch that show as a form of "warning therapy" Carocross, good to hear from you. Yes I absolutely will not while away good cleaning/decluttering time on the computer - except for FCA of course! ChaCha thanks for the lucky wishes, I think I will need it. Steve and the boys have a very different idea of decluttering than I do. I think I may have to do their stuff when they're out and then deny all knowledge of the whereabouts of anything. Not that they would probably notice if half the junk went missing. Today I will declutter more things. Tomorrow I am going to buy windex and paint.
  17. Well, I have finally started. I have about 17 yrs worth of crap really good ,essential items shoved into my cupboards ( and garage, piled up in corners etc) and now is the time to declutter. Seriously, no mucking around now. We will put the house on the market in a couple of months and it is nowhere near viewer-ready. Any tips on making moving easier?
  18. Just saw the add for the new season of Criminal Minds. It starts here in Feb. Can't wait!
  19. Yes! Kandre "When a man loves a woman"!!!!!!! Girl from Ipanema? Noo ....... Boy from Ipanema? .....even with the added entertainment of exploding heads, still noooo. Macarthur Park? NOOOO! .......somebody left the cake out indeed...... Speculation on an actual upcoming event? Yes! This is fun.
  20. Sounds like a fun year coming up Couchie, congratulations!
  21. Of course, you have your priorities right! But what about his outfits? Will mandals be involved? Will someone have to pry him out of his favourite cargo shorts? (Would they do that on camera?!!!!!) What about choreography?- a bit of "dressin up and dancin" might be nice.........
