Got back from Parx Casino late last night (because of awful rain and some roadwork/construction being done on Route 1) and I was just too tired to post then.  DH and I went to the casino late afternoon and played slots and blackjack for a couple hours (basically breaking even for the day).  Had burgers at a place called "foodies" for dinner where as we were leaving, ran into Tuliptime and sanebc (my Wrapping for Inclusion buddy) coming to order their dinner - so that was a nice bonus!

The concert was well constructed and flowed effortlessly and naturally.  DH was impressed with Clay's sense of humor and his not being afraid to make fun of himself.  They are both in wonderful voice.  Only complaint is that the sound system should have been lowered a few decibels.  That would have made their voices stand out even more.  I would still like to see Clay back on Broadway for a limited run show (I don't think he'd be willing to commit to something long-term).  It was so nice to reminisce about the past 20 years since Idol, but also hard to believe it's been 20 years!

I was at Koka Booth Saturday but was so exhausted from the four hour round trip drive and Playbiller is still here.  We are going to Charlotte on Thursday and I will try to do a recap the next day after I get Playbiller to her plane.

Great concert. We sat in the third row right side..  I was told that Clay would sing there, which he did in the first act but really moved around. I'll try and do a recap but John's recap was great.

Good thoughts to you merrieeee and especially your daughter.

Im so obsessed with the ending of  The Impossible Dream. If there were any doubts that these two were meant to be.. the blending of their voices = perfection! 👏🏻

Thinking and praying for your daughter, merieeee. enough is enough! 😡

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Clay live.  I think the last time was the Christmas Broadway show with Ruben.  Last night his voice was spectacular, maybe the best I’ve ever heard him sing.  We were row K center which was fine.  My DH thought the sound was too loud. The man on my other side had his hands over his ears most of the time.  It was a little loud but I didn’t care in my Clay fog.  The Penns Peak venue was nice. We had dinner prior to the show in the restaurant on-site which was very convenient and stayed in a Hampton Inn about 10 min away.

Merrieeee, I’m glad that your daughter’s condition has improved!

ldjocelyn, thank you for bringing us so many great photos and recaps!

You're welcome  Vox!  I've also got a bunch of photos from Nicki at CV to post here -- but there's so many, I don't have time to get them all.

New interview!  https://www.facebook.com/wccbnewsrising/posts/pfbid0wXsQeGCjZrZsWq41p3roB6a37Uo5n2hC5oWS1jE1gBPAt9n5c8qD9hKT1hZg6NLMl

I had such an amazing time last night.  Both voices were great but Clay's stood out for me.  Every note was perfect and he still has it!.  He looked like he was having a blast on stage. I did comments to my concert buddy he is so pale up on stage.   I did not want it to end.  It was well worth the 5 hour drive for us.  I wish I could go to another but next week when the closet concerts would be can not be done with the schedule I have.  Never been to Newark but it is a cute town but they can take their roundabouts and shove them.  In the dark it is so hard to see what is going on.  Our GPS did not like them either.  We had a hard time getting back to our hotel which was 3 miles away because it wanted to take us to a closed entrance ramp to the highway.   Finally we did our own thing and it picked it up and got us the back way to our hotel.  Very stressful, dark, and it was raining.  Sorry not a great writer but you get the point.

Yay gbmifan!  Glad you had a great time at the concert, it sounds like you had a fantastic time...except for the travel.  I'm OK with roundabouts, but not in unfamiliar places in the dark!  Sorry I won't be able to see you in Waukegan next week!

Forgot to mention we were in a small bar off main street after concert.  I think there may have been 10 fans in there. Just as we were leaving someone put Invisible on the jukebox.  Fans started singing especially the three younger fans at the bar.  They were so cute.  The guys in the bar rolled their eyes but did not say anything.  Immediately The Way came on.  As were were leaving the guys went back to playing their country and western songs but it was fun.
