OMG my cousin just called me and says she saw me on TV in a story about the "claymates." What the hell...heee. Is there a story line that supposed to air this weekend? And they must have used Virgin/Kimmell footage cuz that's the only place you'd find this claymate cuz I always duck when there are cameras around. LOL.

I can't remember where Bridgette leaned all over our guy!!

It was here - JNaT 06 Norfolk, where Clay dances with his mom. *there may be a better version w/cleaner audio at CU

I think the whole JNaT 06 was his best "clothing wise". I'll always remember if fondly as the "POP" tour!

perma, that video of him singing LAA in Syracuse is deadly! I wanted to lick the perspiration off of him, poor baby. :hubbahubba:

I wanna play toooo. (I know luckiest1, I should be doing tons of other things and I am, I promise BUT....)

One of my very favourite performances and I haven't seen it noted was Fantasy from AI3. He just looked so cocky and confident and in charge and Paula looked like she was orgasmic watching him.

Fantasy

Even though ATD was not my favourite new song from JBT I loved his performance in Clio

ATD This could come across as a shameless plug BUT I'm not sure I could choose just one video of that performance that just shows us one side of him, so this is a link to our Best of's for Clio.

Number three was a toss up for me (and of course I can find bunches more) I loved WAYDNE from Clearwater 05 It was such a neat experience BUT my favourite had to be DSIAFCD from that venue also. When he does the Oh Baby That's a fact and he looks to the side before he does it, like WATCH THIS, does it, gets the reaction and just giggles. I loved that, it made me laugh everytime I worked with it, he did it again a bit later in that same song.

DSIAFCD

and a most honourable mention just cause (without a link or else it too would probably be a shameless plug, since I can't choose one piece of clack to save my soul. The Oh Canada in Toronto for the JBT.

I realize all these are older performances. There are many new ones I love too. BUT these are the ones that came to mind first.

Hee, I'll give fangirly goldarngirl a pass. So rare! :P

In case anybody thinks we are exaggerating the *&%^$ snow, I took this picture of my trash can just outside my door about ten minutes ago. When I came home from work yesterday there was none on it.

DSCN0486.jpg

Oh, we are definitely not exaggerating! It's got to be at least 2 feet deep out there (and that's not counting the four foot drifts.) Two of my kids spent an hour trying to dig out the bottom of the driveway, and then my youngest son and I spent a good hour trying to dig out the top half. We finally gave up (one of our cars is buried under that heap of white and we can't budge it no matter how much we dig and push and shove.) So that one is out of commission until some of this melts, I guess. But at least the other two are off the road and in the semi-shovelled end of the driveway. Now we just have to wait for the plow to go by and bury the end of the driveway again so we can do it all again tomorrow! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (In case you didn't recognize it, that was sarcasm.)

ETA: OK I took some pics, after we finished shovelling. Heh, whose license plate could that be?

Is it Tuesday yet? I wanna go to NYC! thSpam_SirRobin_sing_SimplyClay.gifthSpam_SirRobin_peek_SimplyClay.gifthSpam_SirRobin1_Simply_Clay.gif

I just watched last week's AI Rewind. God, Simon is an ass. Just saying.

ETA: crimsonice says that her #1 clack pick would be Tears Run Dry from the Toronto Jukebox tour. She'd post it herself, but she's lazy. ;)

cindi... luckiest... O.M.G. That's a LOT of snow, you guys!

I love all of Clay's Kimmel appearances, but the one where "I shaved my legs for you" cracks me up everytime! The way he laughed... belly laugh instead of his normal giggle.

Shaved his leg

This favorite video has been so much fun! I gotta tell you guys, tho. At San Diego for the JNT 05 and spotlight's video from that is fantastic and the sound is breathtaking. Also, his DSIAFCD from Raleigh that same year is so much fun.

You can't have just 3, dang it. All you guys' rememberances trigger more of mine. I was 5th row center at Clio when "don't let the Clack skip around" occured and it was awesome.

Oh, keeping... you might want to change your post. I think you meant you loved the finale of AI5, not AI2, cause there is no reason at all to like anything about the finale of AI2 cept for Clay's graciousness at losing. <g>

Thanks Liney! No doubt! :cryingwlaughter:

You know the main thing I remember about the AI2 finale, other than being freaking pissed that Clay didn't win, was knowing Clay had a recording contract, that he was getting not just a shot but a bit push, and also that he made that crack something like 'I'll see you on the charts' to Ruben-- and then it was on to the news that night and the late night shows and the next morning and Larry King and so on, and so on, and here we are.

My husband slept late this morning. I made the family pancakes to go along with the snow day. When he got up, I put his pancakes on while he went out to get the paper. He came back and told me it had not been delivered. I said are you sure it isn't buried in the snow. He kept insisting that since there was no sign of any footprints, it could not possibly be there. It was snowing so hard, I thought it could have been buried and disagreed. About an hour later he went back out to the porch to look through the snow and found it. I've never been in a blizzard before. We had several white outs this morning. We are supposed to get 16 inches before it is over.

I can't relate to snow day. It was gorgeously fine here. Talked to my cousin today in East Texas and they had snow. There's something to say for SOUTH Texas, uh-huh.

I just watched some clack. It was the WRAL In the Studio with Clay, Kipper and Quiana. Love that stuff. Coming up next the WRAL interview. I can't help it, I'm so excited.

Well darn I just lost my whole post with nice links and all.

It is so hard to decide but two pieces which always get me are

1) Jimmy Kimmel ATD especially when his profile is to the camera and Clay is singing "I would do anything, just believe me" I saw this show less that 3 months after I had discovered Clay on YouTube and become hopelessly besotted with him. This felt so hot.

2)BMUB again in profile as he is singing "I'll be beside the phone waiting for you, you hoo, you hoo"

Then there are the various hilarious bits of banter and 2 I always enjoy are, the

starting at 8:15 "No but you're hot though" the look on Clay's face and the "I'll take that"

The SRHP Tampa Have you taken your medicine?

Lotus, I love your choices! I completely relate to the Kimmel concert because I had just discovered Clay during the AI5 finale and this was the first time I had seen him perform like that other than on youtube. I didn't even watch the GMA appearance until later on. (Very bad fan, I know) but his profile shots just shoot right through me!! gah

I wonder why they were so concerned he hadn't taken his meds that day in Tampa too. I have often wondered if he is just so much more "wound up and talkative" when he isn't on them? Because when I first became a fan he was on LKL and Kimmel and Leno. I remember thinking he was kinda chatty on Leno but not too much so on Kimmel and LKL. Little did I know then JUST what a chattycathy he really was. BWAH

Oh, GOOD!! (tm soon-to-be Sir Robin) People are discovering new clack. I'm so glad to have been able to pass on vzubie's pure porn version of LAA in Syracuse. Damn he was gorgeous and sexy in that clip. cindilu2, I can't believe you survived seeing it in person!!

couchie, I'm so glad you picked the San Diego JNT04 Good News. That whole evening was a love-fest, but Clay really seemed to be trying to communicate to the fans with Good News. Somehow trying to let us know that we would all see each other soon, and that all would be well. It was magical. You are right, Scarlett was 2 rows ahead of you. I know that since I was directly in front of you, right behind her. No, no, that's OK....I'm not hurt that you don't remember...sniff

OK, time for a 2-parter, so this is.....

2a & b: JNT05 Emmanuel from Council Bluffs and Kansas City

As I'm sure most of you will recall, the Council Bluffs show was the one where Jacob did not return after intermission. No one knew why. Most assumed he was sick and couldn't come out. Clay had done M&G's during the intermission, so there couldn't really have been any time to re-engineer or rehearse anything. The cellcert was buzzing!!! No one knew what would happen with Jacob's solo. Would he suddenly reappear? Would they skip the song altogether? So when the intro started and then Clay started singing there were gasps and mumbles galore.

The Council Bluffs version was a one-of-a-kind performance. This one was a bit more choppy, was more raw and powerful, had a bit more melisma, than any other version since. Many fans had wanted to hear CLAY sing that song, but never imagined we'd get our wish....especially in such strange circumstances.

There is one complete video of that performance that is glitch-free....the one by Scarlett in all the vaults. However, my favorite is the one by LauraQ. It has two tiny glitches at the beginning, and she starts shaking near the end, but it's so RAW!!! You can hear her whisper "OMG" at the beginning when she realizes Clay will sing it, and there is babbling and loud "OMG"s after he finishes. He is singing so forcefully that you can hear him taking his breaths, which we almost never hear from Clay. It's imperfect, but I have a very tender spot in my heart for this video:

http://www.clackunlimited.com/clack/Concer...auraQ_large.wmv

One night later in Kansas City, Clay thanked everyone on the stage and in the crew for all their extra work that day. Just think!!! They had to travel and then they had to reblock every scene and bit of staging that included the back-ups. They had to rework the lighting. They had to tweak all the harmonies. What a lot of work to do on such short notice.

By that evening, you will see the singers are in different positions. Clay gives a much smoother, more flowing delivery. A really, really beautiful rendition. This video is completely different, and it is gorgeous. It is featuring a close-up on Clay's face and his incredibly beautiful expressive hands. Just exquisite, and the sound is really lovely.

http://www.clackunlimited.com/clack/Concer...ranny_large.wmv

I always watch the two together, so I'm counting it as one choice. So there.

Perma, I was there for Council Bluffs and KC and I have to agree with you. It was one of those 'not-to-be-missed' Clay moments that I usually miss :cryingwlaughter: but was fortunate enough to be there that night!

I've been lost in YouTube all night. Has anyone seen the video titled "Shocking Clay Aiken Sex Tape"? I laughed myself silly watching it. And somehow, I think Clay would laugh, too. I kept thinking they were going to show a bunch of Clay fans watching Clack at the end.

Thanks to PermaSwooned, I joined your board yesterday. I knew that you had a list of all the Clay site, but I never had visited the forum...nice place and I recognize many of your names.

I have no idea how to copy video addresses, but I have to vote for for the Leno "Invisible"; Raleigh's "Where the Streets Have No Name"; and and the little blonde girl who wanted to sing with Clay. So many choices, so little time, but I absolutely love those.

It's nice being here!

I've been giving a lot of thought to my favorite three pieces of Clack. This takes a lot of research, watching videos over and over and over again. Then I have to take a shower and have a drink. It's taking forever. Anyway....after many many viewings I have to say that first piece of Clack showing Clay entering the arena singing Kyrie..surrounded by security and looking for all the world like prize fighter entering the ring has to be one of my favorites. Even now, watching the videos, I can feel my heart start to pound and my pulse races at the opening notes of Kyrie.

I'll be back in several hours with #'s two and three..... :hubbahubba:

I bolded your great description! It was a major WOW moment!

I dl'd aflack's Winston-Salem Clack, but it's very small.

Is there an excellent version of this one?

I mean - it was hard on the Clack Gatherers, because everything was so unknown!

That was one of the most thrilling "theater" moments I've ever witnessed!

Man! Can you imagine what he has in store for us with the new tour?!

After this stint on Broadway - just think of all the information he's been cramming in that big ol' brain of his!!!

G'night! I'm falling asleep here!

Thanks for all the reminders of Clack Gone By!!!

Maybe I'll dream of BF!

It's now Sunday, y'all!

3 more days!!!

From Can'tDecide at CH:

Just a quick drive by because I'm very tired. This was my first and only show and I LOVED IT. I sat in the front row and OMG. OMG. Did I mention I LOVED IT?

Stage door was fun and I'm SO glad he came out. Got my Playbill signed and here's a funny thing I haven't seen reported yet.

While he was signing, Hannah came out in her baseball hat. She didn't stop to sign things, but as she walked by Clay, she grabbed his ass!

Hee! I'm loving Hannah!
