I have mentioned here before that I am taking my fandom back just like Clay is taking his life back.

In the past 4+ years I have worried, defended, felt hurt by things said or done to Clay, lost good internet friends, etc.

I look at this Reunited thingy as a trial run, a test of taking my fandom back. I have no influence on Clay's choices for his life or career. But, I do have a choice if I want to support his choices. In taking my fandom back it gives me time to have fun, enjoy Clay and have less angst in my life. It is very freeing.

Thank you FCA for being here. What a difference!

Not pickin on you merryclay, but why should KLo have to go back to some bar? Frankly, what she wore covered up more than Britney on the VMAs, lots and lots of fairly nice people use "four-letter" words. And the only ones saying she's "using Clay's name to test the waters" are a bunch of people on Clay's fan boards who aren't exactly in Kim's inner circle.

The girl/woman can sing, and has as much if not more talent than a lot of pop tarts out there. Somebody likes her and her style. One of those somebodies appears to be Clay.

All I think is honestly, Clay is no longer competing against these people. It is not a zero-sum game.

OK, having gone to work and put some thought into this (yes, I have kind of a mindless job sometimes)...I'm excited! Now, if it doesn't happen, I'll suck it up...but, if it does....

venues similar to the DCAT venues.

the band will consist of the usual but may have string quartet and some woodwind and some brass instruments. (still hoping we get some BW)

the format is rather informal...the three of them start the show with one song or even a medley. Then they take turns in doing solos duets and trios...interspersed with just chatting among friends. I think this will be the best way to make sure the fans stay in their seats for every performance.

I am hoping we get a segment where the three of them simply sit on stage and jam on some songs and chat with the audience.

I never really got the vibe that Kim was a no-cussin', no-drinkin', etc. gal. I'm not saying she's a lush with a sailor's mouth, but she always seemed a little more...whatever...than Clay. Not my style, but to each their own. From that perspective, her show in Raleigh was perfectly "tame." Of course, that was 3 years (oh em gee! time flies!) ago, and I haven't followed her at all since then. I've heard that she gets played a lot in clubs (how random) and has a large gay "following," but other than that, I got nothin'. Honestly, I'm just a greedy little booger who doesn't want to sit through multiple solos and/or duets that are not Clay. And I think it sounds like an odd sell. But that's me. I invite Clay to "sell" it to me...which he could probably do just by clearing his throat or blinking or some other such nonsense that would prove how weak I truly am.

I don't like the tour concept, but I just can't ascribe any negative motives to Kim for speaking about it. I think she's just excited about the possibility. The sensitivities of Clay fans are probably not even on her radar.

Apparently, Ken Barnes has, in an article, said that she's "hoping to tour" with Clay and Ruben? Could it be a sign that it's far from certain? As I said, I suspect the reason we haven't heard about this from Clay is because nothing is set in stone just yet. Remember how different it was with the Independent Tour? For that, you had simultaneous announcements by both Kelly and Clay.

Lots of people on CL trying to sell Ipods for more or = what they cost in the store. Here is current pricing on the latest generation Ipod Video model. Don't get hosed by some of the bad deals on craigslist.

And to the people posting these ads , What the !@!@!@ ? Your Ipod you paid $300 for a year ago is not still worth $295 , I don't care how many Clay Aiken songs you have on it, that doesn't add to the value. Sheesh!

Merryclay...you have your opinion of Kim and I suspect you are not alone in that score. I do not follow her music career the way I do Kelly...but from what I hear she has a very different market and fanbase than Clay and I think her shows will be appropriate for her audience. I do think she is a lovely person with fantastic vocals and has shown a lot of loyalty to Clay...She also has her own level of success, her fanbase and I think her mentioning this tour may not exactly enhance her image among her fans either.

Did she spill this without Clay's knowledge? Would he get upset??? I really don't know. But I'm sure she and Clay have more contact about this and she knows him more than any fans on the board. I just can't see Clay seeing this as a bad thing so I don't know why he would be upset.

I do believe that if there is anything that would make Clay upset is seeing his fans bash his friends on his board...I am not on the OFC ...I hope it has not turned personal against Ruben and Kim.

Wasn't there a day or two of angst before the simultaneous announcements? So maybe we have another day or two before the rumor is confirmed or shot down.

Totally agree about Kim and that's all I'm going to say about that since I'm not a mind reader. I can and do often base things on people's past and as far as I can see she has no history of using Clay. In fact I'd think she'd qualify as a faithful friend to people with no investment in Clay. Frankly I'd go with bad reporting - we talking about to this is confirmed - over some nefarious plot on her part.

I'd heard she was touring with Dav Koz over the holidays. I like him. I like her. I think I'll pick up a ticket - if I'm not on my clayventure of course.

I think it is a sign it is far from certain. I think she either spoke too soon, or things were taken out of context in the article (now, I know that is hard to believe of the print media but still....) or a combination of both. That is why we probably haven't heard any official word from TC or Ruben's camp. And that is why I refuse to get worked up about something that may never come to pass. Even if it does, I am reminded of the angst that preceeded the JBT - how doing a tour like that, singing covers and all, would ruin his career and secure his fate as a karaoke singer.

At first I was like nnnnoooooooo and strangely enough now I'm warming up to the idea. Crazy, huh

It could be a real lively paced show and with a band, yippy!! I'm sorta tired of the all symphony tours. :eusa_whistle: Clay might still be able to bring the "family" along as backup singers and Jesse could arrange the whole thing, why not. New songs could be introduced etc etc.

The media is gonna talk smack no matter what Clay does. Aaaand this little tour might just be heading West, like Northern CA west.
