Hee, couchie, you are CMSU. You've never heard the Beatles White Album?

Thanks for the kind words. Sometimes I just can't hold my tongue and have to tell it like it is. But if this board keeps moving like it has been moving, I'm hoping to just hang out here more. Talk about girls just want to have fun! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I'm in the strange position this summer of having tons of vacation and little to no $$. So far, two of the five concerts I'm looking at are general admission and therefore quite inexpensive. $38 and $16 to be exact! We'll have to see about the others. If I can drive them all and split the cost of gas and hotels with friends, they will be doable.

My dream is to fly out for the first show, whereever it may be. That remains to be seen, where it is and whether it's doable. LOL.

Any set list works for me, but I'm with ldyjocelyn that the concert should and will open with RHW. :medium-smiley-070:

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! for the tour!!!!!!!!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! for the tour!!!!!!!!!!

So far, I most likely have Atlanta and Palm Beach on my plate, and hopefully the Biltmore!!!!!

Can't wait to see what the other venues are!!!!!

(Oh, the reason I can use so many !!!!!!!! is because other places have turned theirs back in - I don't even have to try and stretch them out like this: !!!111!1!!!11111!! - there's LOTS to go 'round!!!!!)

Hey, Ms. Couch Tomato - I wasn't eeee-ing to the Beatles EVER, I was more of a Stones girl, but the White Album is a very mixed bag, some songs quite self-indulgent, others are great.

Now that I think about it, I would pay to hear and see Clay sing Rocky Raccoon (my favorite on the album).

OK...sorry but when all of you white girls were singing I love you yeah yeah yeah I was screaming for The Jacksno Five. Heeee. Actually I was probably hiding in the closet with my radio and not listening to any of this devil music. heee. I know THE BEST OF but dont' know every song on the albums. Oh and it just hit me..I do have a shitload of Beatles on my ipod but that one hasn't popped up yet.. I'm sure I have it. That mystery will be solved today.

Yep I'm with all ya'll who are on budgets. That's why I'm so thrilled about the California threefer because I can normally always find a ticket between here and So Cal for $100 RT. I must have been out of my mind in 2004.I don't know if we'll ever see that much touring from the man in one year again.

When there's not a lot to talk about....well, we do a pretty good job of just chilling, you know? I've not seen any created angst, just because Clay isn't doing anything that we can see. I actually kind of like that.

And baby, you can tell it like it is anytime, luckiest1!

I guess Nokia, in Dallas, is my best shot so far. I think it is about 6-6 1/2 hours to drive. I'm so excited to finally have a tour. I keep thinking he will have to have something in Kansas City. He usually tours there. I want to buy broker tickets for front row, if I can. So I guess a lot will depend on which venues are NOT membership driven. I am not going to buy expensive broker tickets, and then add the cost of an airline ticket, plus lodging on top of that. Don't plan to spend a grand for a concert. No matter who it is, or even though I can. So I want a venue that I can drive in 8 hours. Of course with the price of gas, it could end up being cheaper to fly. :medium-smiley-070:

My contest story, I played around with just for fun, is stupid and not worthy of posting here. It is posted over at Clayton's Place and at Rebels For Clay Aiken, somewhere, if you want to go look for it. :em0100:

Count me as a luckiest1 fan. I love to read her. Now it is time to get ready for work......

Hee, I sang "she loves you yeah yeah yeah".........my mom has good old Super8 video of it! I was one year old and wore a Beatle wig. ;) By the time I was of screaming age, I was screaming for the Bay City Rollers! *waves to ldyjocelyn* I rediscovered the Beatles in my teens, along with a lot of other 50s and 60s music. I'd love Clay to sing Rocky Racoon (and just think, he wouldn't have to fake the accent like Paul did, LOL) or he could sing some George Harrison like Here Comes the Sun or Something and then I'd have to die on the spot. It's ok, because when I hear the guitar solo on RHW, I imagine George is playing it, anyways.

Come on, more dates! Although I think I'm already pretty much set with the ones that were announced yesterday. But I want EVERYONE to be able to find a concert that works for them! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

OK, here's my version.

All About Love

Short Banter (hello FCA)

Here You Come Again

Because You Loved Me

If You Don't Know Me by Now

Banter

Right Here Waiting

I Will Carry You (the Oprah arrangement, with added strings)

Run to Me

Everytime You Go Away (audience participation)

Everything I Do (I Do It For You)

A Thousand Days

Banter

To Love Somebody

When A Man Loves A Woman

Ya Gotta Have Faith

Intermission

These Open Arms

I Want to Know What Love Is

Everything I Have

Banter - here come the sad songs:

Alone

Broken Wings

Without You

Sorry

Lonely No More

Banter

When I See You Smile

I Know How the River Feels

Measure of a Man (a la Capitol Fourth)

Bridge Over Troubled Water

Plus a few new songs as encores

Sorry, I didn't take the time to add rationale to the changes. I'm not entirely happy with it, just some ideas. Change away!!!!

Sorry, but this just won't work! Where is TOUCH??? Just one day before I die, I NEED him to sing TOUCH to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

or he could sing some George Harrison like Here Comes the Sun or Something and then I'd have to die on the spot.

GEORGE!!!!! George Harrison was my first Clay - actually my only Clay until Clay. I fell in love with him as a mere child of 9 and loved him sooooooooooo much. I was so, so sad when he died. In a lot of ways, he reminds me of Clay. He too was very spiritual and walked the walk. He even has a fund set up at UNICEF! A very charitable man. A very religious man. An amazing talent. I love him still. *sigh* I hate when anyone covers his songs, but if anyone can do them justice it would be Clay.

Heh - I'm like Couchie - except I thought the Beatles were sorta old - unlike the Monkees and the Jackson 5! And unless it was a Top 40 hit, I don't think I know any of the Beatles' songs.

I am just wallowing in anticipation for my Clay tour! Wallowing I tell ya! I am seriously thinking about moving my vacation start so I can be here for the ticket sales!

I wanna do the Cali three-fer - and of course Texas - and at least one East Coast venue - and since I was planning on hitting Canada for my birthday, that should work as well!

But if the first stays in Texas and the last in Florida - the 3 in Cali - and one in either Canada or Chicago or St. Louis or wherever the hell the FCA wants to meet!

Going to 6 out of 20 concert is reasonable, right? Right?!?

Oh perfectly KAndre, perfectly reasonable... The last non christmas concert was TWO WHOLE YEARS AGO...we are so freaking entitled to as many shows as we can afford...HEH

I do want to go to a cluster of shows...so either Cali...NC or any other set the FCA may want to go to.

This is soooo exciting!!!!!

This is where my fandom has mellowed. OMG I used to live on the message boards morning, noon, night. I don't have to be the first to know anymore. It weird to come home sometimes and realize 8 hours has past since concert dates are out LOL. Ansa emails me when really important stuff happens though. This is just enough for me. I think I used to post just to hear myself talk, or somebody talk. I'm sure folks were sick of me and wondered if I had a life. heh. Now I come home and catch up here and get the news of the day and it's all good. But I'm still just as crazy about Clay as ever. His voice, whether by song or something he wrote in his blogs, can still give me chills.

ETA: nothing wrong with time on a message board..just for me it had kinda taken over. Oh, and believe me with the websites...my time ..he still gets plenty.

Calliek is working on the Ashville concert and let me tell you, she throws a mean preparty and getsthe best group tickets - Just love what she does for every one. I am a little leery of the Philly group tickets though, there is part of the fee that may not be refundable and you know what I am like about geting my money back!

Hanging out on message boards - I find I open a lot of windows and leave my computer on durigthe day and I drop in and out between doing some organizing via spread sheets and wander in and out of the house.

This whole pod thing has allowed me to scroll past more pages than I used to scroll past.

Ansa Oooh, yes! ClusterClayFuck! I'm sooooo there! :hubbahubba:

I spend way too much time on the boards....and I know it and I know that's only Step 1 and I'm not moving toward Step 2, it seems.

Oh the thought of Clay singing Something!!!!!!!!!! holy crap! just yeah baby!!
rocknrlmom You and I can die together, honey. LOrdy...lordy. See, the thing about imagining Clay singing this song or that one is that we can visualize him...we can anticipate how he'll move or when he'll do that thing he does with his eyes or when he might bite his lip or ....stroke the mic stand, etc. And it's deadly, Itellya. :hubbahubba:

I've actually never been to Asheville and would love to go, but don't see that one in my cards. I'm with those who think he just might do some of the middle of the country between Dallas and Philly...which is lovely for all you Midwesterners. Thing is, though, I won't be able to make ANY concerts until Philly at the very earliest---I'll be in Miami from 7/7--7/16 on business. So if you decide to do the FCA Fest in the mid. of hte country during that time, I can't go! :cry4: Maybe he'll cover the middle between Chautaugua and San Diego?

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

Beatles? Yeah, as a kid I was a Beatles fan---stood in long line outside the movie theater to see the movie "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"....but I was strictly an AM radio girl in my teens---while Flower Power and drugs and protests and shit were going down, I was listening to pure pop...didn't even follow the Beatles through their 'spiritual' journey and actually don't even know all the songs on the White Album. I just like the title of that one song and want to hear Clay sing it....over and over. HEee! :woohoo:

EDITED to add: I just called the Pala Casino. They sold out of ClayAiken's Package yesterday.

(Individual show tix haven't gone on sale yet and she doesn't know when they will, but the package deal with a room and two show tix is sold out. She also said you'd better reserve a hotel room NOW cuz they're almost sold out of those, too! I hope the fanclub has a presale for this show!)

Big Beatles fan here! Mostly George, but loved them and did follow them big time on their spiritual journey. I thought they were so cool. First album I ever bought was a Beatles' album. To this day my brother says he hates every song on it because I played them over and over and over. Also have every George Harrison album ever. Saw him in concert in 1974.

Yup, I could see Clay singing "Something". And I would love it.

They sold out ClayAiken's Package? How come we didn't get ClayAiken's Package. I love Clay Aiken's package!!! :hubbahubba:

Hmmm. I wonder how many of these packages they sell and if that means all the good seats are gone and if they give any priority to guests staying in their hotel. And did you know you have to over 21 to go to this show?

Hey, since they have that restriction, maybe Clay will do a very adult show! He can forget about the family friendly crap. AND HE CAN SING TOUCH!! <delusional>

I've actually never been to Asheville and would love to go, but don't see that one in my cards.

My dear muski, I'm in the same boat. I just found out that my family reunion is that weekend. I love my family dearly, and we only get to see most of these cousins (all 50 of us!) once a year. Last year I missed because of my nephew's wedding, so I really didn't want to miss this year. Therefore, though -- the NC concerts are out for me. Now I've just got to whittle my choices down to Texas, California, or New York.

AM radio girl checking in here. Loved listening to the top 40 stuff, which at the time was so varied as compared to today (IMO). And yes, I was always a teeny-bopper -- the Monkees (*waves at KAndre*) and the Bay City Rollers (*waves at luckiest1*) were big for me. I discovered the Beatles in high school, but never "fell" for them. My husband though is a HUGE fan -- his framed Beatles poster is right next to my framed Star Trek poster in our family room.

They sold out ClayAiken's Package? How come we didn't get ClayAiken's Package. I love Clay Aiken's package!!! :hubbahubba:

muski must still be on her concert high if she didn't pick up on this right away. *g*

I'm still pumped for this tour. Amazingly so. I'm looking forward to a nice, laidback night with me, Clay, an orchestra, and some wine. I hope.

I am looking at the Biltmore right now and that is a bit iffy. Chastain is closer but that is also iffy right now. WHY do you ask, well the answer is I had surgery in Atlanta on Friday. Yeh, four small puncture homes and a 2 1/2 inch suture later, it is slow going. But it is what I expected and some that I did not expect. For such a minor/major surgery, things have certainly turned out way differentiantly than planned. Still down and out for 2 weeks and moving just a little bit slower, but still trying to eat what I am allowed. I tkink i need a hug. May be the Biltmore, Is that on a weekend. I know Chastain is on a Wednesday which is a no go for me. So may be I should just throw those up in the air and see what comes down. Drugs, sweet drugs. Did ou miss me Bottle.??? I have tbeen thinking about you and your little chicken fetish. Can't do that to you right now, may be next week. Right now this will do :F_05BL17blowkiss: :allgood::fca::hubbahubba:

STILL LOVE ME SOME T&A, THIGHS AND ASS. THE BEST COMBINATION.

{{{georgiaclay}}} The Biltmore is on a Saturday. :)

For anyone who might be interested in hearing Beatles music with a bit of a twist, try the new "Love" CD. They've taken original Beatles music and mixed some of the songs together, etc. It's pretty cool! George Martin and his son produced, with the remaining Beatles' and Yoko's and Olivia's blessings.

Got the shuffle going so randomly I hear Beatles, Clay, Heart, Dan Fogelberg, Miles Davis, Clay, Bonnie Raitt, Clay, Elton John, Clay, Van Morrison, Clay, George Michael, Clay...

you get the idea, I'm sure... :medium-smiley-070:

Oh I would like to go see the Biltmore too...sigh...can;t decide till we get all the dates.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE muski I got my shuffle on too.

did I tell y'all what happened to my ipod...I died on me last year...and that is one of the things I was saving for this year...and last week...in comes my hubby with my ipod...HE was able to fix it. He just thought he should open it up see if he can fix it and he saw that the HD was lose on its mounting...he tightend all the screws and viola ...my IPOD is like new again...and this happened jsut before I got sick...so it was great timing.

with me is the beatles, sting, coldplay, Clay, motown classics, Switchfoot, broadway, etc. Its incredible whenever Clay comes on. HE truly fits in with all the great singers and musicians out there.

This is georgia: :drugsneeded:

So I'm bringing some :nature-smiley-014: and a :big hug: to her!

Question: what is this "iPod" from which you speak? It's a foreign concept to me... I feel like such a luddite with my CD player. I do use my PDA for mini-clack sessions though -- the cards don't hold a lot, but they help me get through a workout at the gym.

Topic: should Clay work out at a gym? Discuss.

Ooooh oooh oooh iPod discussion! If you don't have one.......it is seriously worth it. But buy an extended warranty, if you can. Mine is an old dinosaur now, a mini, they don't even make them anymore, but it's still got a year left on warranty. If it dies, I can probably get a huge 80gb video iPod for what I paid for it. ;)

My little 4gb holds about 1000 songs, and is 1/3 Clay stuff. So he comes up rather often, if I put it on random. :) I love that you can create playlists that search the database for you (i.e. all Clay songs, all non-Christmas Clay songs, etc). You can also choose to listen by artist or by album or just a mix.

I have lots of Beatles, solo George, Paul, and John, Fleetwood Mac, Amanda Marshall, Elton John, Blue Rodeo, solo Jim Cuddy, Billy Klippert, Cher, BCR, Dixie Chicks, Music & Lyrics Soundtrack, Melissa Ethridge, and lots of other random stuff.

ETA: Since I have started walking daily, my iPod is my best friend. Keeps me company, keeps me motivated!

Hate to rain on the glee but...

Just got back to my office from getting a sandwich...to find that my laptop, a company laptop from the desk next to mine and some money out of a guy's wallet (but not the wallet or cards)...were all stolen. This after another person's laptop was stolen last week.

Here's the thing. Last week on the other floor of our company's offices someone else's laptop was stolen. So we all started to lock the doors every single time we left the office. I was locking my laptop in a file drawer. Except today. I ran out to get a soda and thought someone else was still in here.

So...

Two laptops in 6 months. Gone.

Plus....since I write my stories on the bus to and from and usually just hurriedly close the lid when I get to my stop. So when someone opens the laptop...they're into the account. No password needed. Idiot that I am.

I was in the middle of my next chapter. The smut chapter. I'd written six pages. Gone.

Whoever opens that laptop will go right to the page I was writing, and if I remember correctly, Tyra had already done Clay a good deed they'd talked and snuggled and Clay was just getting ready to return the favor.

Hope whoever reads that will feel like commenting---not just be a lurker, you know? <_<

Jesus. Unreal. I'm trying to be grownup about this. It's my fault. I didn't log out. I didn't lock the computer in the file cabinet. I didn't make sure the office door was locked behind me. It's really my responsibility.

But it hurts. And it's embarassing to think of someone reading that....and all my other things on there. I'll be able to recover Southern Heat up from what I've posted on the boards. But...god. All my stuff...again. Pictures. Everything. Again.
