I (apparently with a lot of others, except maybe...muski!) read your posts....

I was just busy watching American Gladiators! It is sick how much I love American Gladiators! If Clay was on American Gladiators....well, he would be killed, but I would love him EVEN MORE!

BWAH!

Okay, let me re-phrase. muski didn't read my post. :imgtongue: (or luckiest1's) but seeing as how the emminently distracting Man In Black was on most of these pages, all is forgiven.

American Gladiators? In 2008? Is it the same as the 80's (??) version with the people in Wonder Woman underwear and such?

And at some point, I will start digging through my flatware drawer for sporks....what's a good deadline for Xmas song analysis?

The day after Scarlett puts her audio up? *ducks*

OMG thanks for reminding me...and yes...waiting for Scarlett too...(I guess blaming scarlett will always be a good excuse...)

Erm, KAndre, could you get after Scarlett about her audio? Purty please? 'Cuz I have a few choices made already, but I'm waiting for Scarlett's wonderful clack to be available. And I will need a little more time than a day after her stuff goes up, because I work and sometimes have evening rehearsals, so may not be able to get to it right away.

:RedGuy:

Scarlett - :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I knew there was something I was supposed to be doing..oh right, I can just blame Scarlett too heee. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Scarlett.

Shamefacedly LOL! Uh, I was going to post something last night but the board was down... *ok, I give up. even I couldn't say that with a look of indignant innocence*

Can I blame somebody cute for wearing that black shirt and looking stunningly handsome today? I was going to get some work done but all I can do is stare, stare, stare.... & stare some more. Oh, ok, I'm leaving now. Solo's threatening to never relieve me on Clack-gathering duties agan because it just goes to "my personal stash" instead of to the vault. See, I'm going now! Hear the footsteps moving away... *looks back to take one last peek. And melts...Uh, if any other golf Clack shows up, you'll tell me, won't you? Won't you? -- crickets--- *

Oh, please let there be audio from tonight?!! *cries* Why oh why did I spend the last 12 years either giving away my free tix to the Shell Houston Open or sitting in the tent with the all-day-buffet reading a book?!!!

ps. goldarngirl, I did put up lots of Canandaigua last night...

I am loving the photos from today. Just got home from a very good dinner at a small French cafe in a town nearby here, celebrating our 30th wedding aniversary, so I had to catch up on everything. Have the tv on and a weather alert just came on, we have tornado warning out. It is winter here in Michigan! It is 60 outside and all our snow is gone.

Actually the cellcert itself wasn't recorded but the people reporting did say they got audio and video. They weren't sure how good the video was but at least there should be audio.

I want to hear that air-o-plane song, too, muski. Well, hear it for real. It's playing in my head already.

What a fun read today. Thanks for the reports. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

And stay safe in this wacky weather... It was 65 degrees here today, with really gusty winds.

Yesterday we had a fairly long discussion about people (co-workers, relatives, etc.) dissing Clay and trying to dampen our enthusiasm. After following this whole tee-cert today and reading somewhere that Clay has been instrumental in raising over $1,000,000 when you add up all of his humanitarian efforts, I finally have come to realize that I really do not give a crap what other people think. (You don't know me--but this is BIG--I have always been the type of person who wants to please everyone and I get upset when I think that others may disapprove of me.)

If other people cannot realize what an extraordinary man he is, then it is just their loss. I'm telling you I was just so moved when I read today what one of his relative said about this foundation being who he really is. Can't even remember if they said the foundation was really him or that he really was the foundation. Doesn't matter--I get it either way. He really is and always has been that same young man who wants to use his voice to make a difference. He is making such a difference on a large scale with events like today's Golfing for Inclusion. But I often wonder if he knows what a difference he has made in so many of our hearts and minds. I wonder if he knows that so many of the little things that happen in our daily lives have been forever affected and positively changed by him.

:couple: Happy 30th anniversary, gbmifan!!! :couple:

The weather is strange here in OH, too - almost 70 today, with wind advisory & storms tonight. Crazy!

Kept forgetting, in all the excitement today, to :welcome:tinkerbell2!

It's been such a fun day! I saw some of the other CRAP TM Clay posted around today and just rolled my eyes - one of these days I'm afraid they may get stuck! But seriously, I don't think some people would know how to be happy if you handed them an illustrated instruction manual. Oh wait, that's what all of the pics from today would be, so yeah, that proves my point. :whatever:

I'm glad I finally decided to check out this board! :lilredani:

Don't ya just love this January thaw? Wish it could last until I leave for Florida in mid-February!

*sniff* nobody reads my posts.

Hey...I did. Am I nobody? Hee.

I just think there has been a bit of 'disappointment' expressed elsewhere because she forgot to record the cellstream. So it won't be available like...right. now. The people that were on the stream talked about getting audio and video. But I gather they are going out to finish their evening.

The sense of entitlement I have seen tonight (elsewhere) boggles my mind. I'm so glad CV hosted the cellcert, and it's a shame if the stream was not recorded, but them's the breaks. It sounds as though there is going to be at least one set of video, and maybe there will be more audio from others....who knows?

ps. goldarngirl, I did put up lots of Canandaigua last night...

What am I, chopped liver? :cryingwlaughter:

I'm in Missouri and we're under a tornado watch right now. In January! Weird!!!

Does anyone here know of a board called "clayrefugees"? I just got an email from them and I have no idea who they are or what the board is...

Hmmm.....clayrefugees? I've never heard of them, but one could take that either way. Either they're former Clay fans who have emmigrated to another Nation, or they're fans that have been exiled from their home boards for some heinous crime against the governing body....you know, like being too positive, or letting him make his own career choices or something. Sounds like an interesting situation. Will you reply?

Isn't there Clack up yet?

I thought he wasn't going to play golf? Maybe he's just getting the tournament started.

I don't know about the tournament, but the description of him and the image of him standing there sure got ME started!--- long and lean, bending over the tee...focusing....turning his head again and again to 'get a line' on the shot...blonde hair moving with him....arms taut....hands tight around the shaft (muski takes a moment)...long, strong fingers flexing over and over....big feet treading the turf as he shifts his weight, hips swaying as knees bend...maybe---just maybe---tongue flicking out to moisten chapped lips or teeth grasping that tortured bottom pink shell lip in concentration....then...the backswing...

whoa.

This was great fore-play for the main event tonight........always happy to partake. :D I was out at the casino with my Mom and just got home after losing 1/200th of the amount of money it would have taken to score that carriage ride with Clay. Dang! And I guess it's going to be a carriage ride after all if Leslie Streeter is right up there. Double dang! All my gambling money from now on is going into a cookie jar in the linen closet.

You know, when I was hauling my luggage to the car in our garage back on December the 8th I spied my golf clubs in the corner, and I spied John's golf clubs in their airline travel bag and I thought, for one brief second, that since there was an airline travel bag just sitting in the garage.....maybe it was a sign. Unfortunately, there is only one airline bag there because every time John mentioned us taking our clubs on a vacation, I said something like "meh...not worth lugging them." Until today I wasn't all that big a fan of golf and I'm moving to a country that doesn't even have one golf course. But I do have a few prepaid lessons at the neighborhood club and a new reason to use them up before I go. Is golf available for Wii?

OMG! How gorgeous was he today? :hubbahubba: I think I might have to raid my cookie jar to buy an 8 X 10 glossy full frontal picture to frame for my new desk. Can't hardly wait for the clack and all the rest of the reports to come. What a great day this turned out to be!

playbiller: When I was a kid, my parents belonged to a suit club - everyone in the club put in so much money every onth and periodicvally someone was selected randomly to get a suit. Can't we do something like that= start and investment club where we all put in so much money and periodically someone is invited to bid on Clay?

You can have all of my gambling money.

I won't be using it anymore. I don't have time. I have a new addiction called 80 gig iPod. I have been downloading mp4's from the vault, "synching" them up, and then sitting here with a big old grin on my face as I hold shiny silver encased Clay in my hot little hand and he sings to me....in color. I LOVE IT!! Why didn't I think to ask for this for a present before? And heck, when I did ask for it I asked for the 8 gig one. When I pointed this out on Christmas morning, John said he could take it back for the eight. He got the "from my cold dead hands" look from me and that was the end of that conversation.

I kind of sort of missed posting about the topic yesterday because I was fiddling with my new toy while I was reading and just couldn't bring myself to put it down. But tonight I put it down. Blond in Black was enough to handle on his own. :whew:

Before I go, welcome tinkerbell2. My sister was diagnosed with MS in December and is now facing the decisions she has to make about her treatment. Up until a few days ago she was adamant she was going to do nothing since she couldn't face giving herself a daily shot but I think, now that the holidays are over and she has given herself permission to think about all of the ramifications, she is beginning to come around a little. She's been dealing with narcolepsy and cataplexy for the past 17 years (she needs 8 Ritalin to stay awake most of the day), so this diagnosis really got her down and she just decided to ignore it for a while.

Congrats on you anniversary gbmifan!!!

eHP....I'll be home on Wednesday night. What's the weather been like down there? Can I pack this damn winter coat in my checked baggage? Please say "yes." :worthy:

From Janiepain at the CB:

I just got back to the hotel from the Clubhouse. What a wonderful wonderful night it was!! First of all, I love my husband, and I love that he loves golf! When we got the foursome together, I found out that Katy and her friend Michele both wanted their husbands to play in the tournament, but the husbands wanted a foursome. My hubby said the same thing, so we had three...I called my former boss who my hubby has played in tournaments with before, and he agreed. He and his girlfriend knew who Clay was, but really not much else about him, other than he had a good voice. Well, after tonight, I think Clay picked up a few more fans.

My husband was SO impressed with Clay.... he has seen 2 shows with me, and he's very tolerant of my "hobby", but he still thought I was crazy. I think after today he totally understands. I may even have a Claydawg in the family! Clay went around the course while they were playing and talked to each of the players and took pictures with them,..my husband said hey Clay, do you know Jane____ and Clay said, "No I don't think so, should I?"and my hubby said, well would you sign my golf card for her because I'm spending alot of money sending her around the country following you! Anyway, Clay signed it "Jane ____, use your voice, Clay Aiken".

Well, the guys finished playing golf, and Katy, Michele, my boss' girlfriend and I got to the clubhouse....and our guys have picked out the table directly in front of the podium. DIRECTLY in front. My back was to the podium, so when we turned our chairs around it was like being dead center front row at a concert with a low low stage. Clay looked amazing, Katy got lots of pics and video, but unfortunately none of us are smart enough to know how to put anything up yet! I know you all heard the concert, and I know you know Katy and Michele are having dinner with Clay. They are beyond excited!!

After everything was over, Clay came to our table and took pics...our table definitely had the most bids, and also we were right by the podium .I thought at first just the auction winners were able to get pics but my husband said go over and get your pic taken. Katy's husband was taking pics, and Clay looked at me and opened his arms and said "come here", so of course, I went! I said "I'm Jane'" and he said "Oh I know you, I see you all over the place"! My boss thought that was hysterical! Anyway, he stood there talking with everyone and taking pics for about 15 minutes, and then I said "Clay, can Art and I get a pic with you?"and he said "sure, come on....well, then a few minutes later my boss' girlfriend made me so happy when she said "Clay, I want a pic with you, too, so he held out both arms, and we got a pic of the three of us! Three pictures....plus the pic of Clay with the guys on the course.....my kids will never ever let us live this down. My husband kept saying what a great guy he was...so friendly, laughing, talking like he knew all of us.

My boss and his wife are very very impressed as well. My boss spent some big $$ on a couple trips, one to the Master's golf tournament, and another autographed Masters picture....I'm so glad I have rich friends!! LOL Just wish I had a little richer husband!!!LOL Dinner with Clay would be amazing....but tonight was amazing anyway.

I've been to lots of events, but his is by far the best yet. Jerry Aiken said this will be an annual event, so I'm willing to bet the golf pros will be getting lots of calls for lessons soon! I'm sure it will never be as smalll and intimate as this was, but girls, get golf clubs on your birthdaty lists for next year! At least buy your husbands some clubs!!

Of course it goes without saying how gorgeous he was, and how great he sounded. I've never seen his hair so light. When Katy asked him to sing When a Man Loves A Woman he said he wasn't sure he knew all the words. I said "It never stopped you before" and I got a little "look"...and then a smile. I have no idea what made that come out of my mouth, but it did. When he was singing "Unchained Melody" my husband leaned over to me and said "he really does have a great voice, doesn't he?? DUH

Sorry this is so chopped, just wanted to get a quick post up and I'm trying to remember little tidbits. He was adorable in the aution....there were only a few people bidding, and for alot of the auction, I would say it was alot of negotiating....he threw in tickets and backstage passes for the dinner winners....so cute!

Other than the projector not working, it was a perfectly planned event! The guys were so impressed at how well everything was run, and the Country Club was beautiful. The food was great, the weather picture perfect, and all in all a wonderful, wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Katy!!!

Yup, tornado warning in southeastern WI too.... and I left to go to the doc this afternoon at 4 and both directions drove in some of the worst rain storms I remember in awhile... and worst for January, that's for sure!! We had a ton of snow here and it's just about gone now... Of course, with all the rain and melting, there's a bunch of flooding now too... fun stuff.

What a great day to have had off - I was able to follow all the fun! And FUN it was!!!! Yippee!!

Thanks to all for the great pics (can you say yummy?!) and all the info!

Well Rohdy I know we are not far from each other so we are facing the same weather. My mother lives in Saginaw and a warning is up there also. She is in a manufactured home so I hope she is fine. We tell her where to go in the house since there is no basement. Hopefully my sister who is actually three minutes from here will go over there and get her.

It is fun today reading everything. He is beautifull and loves those jeans and thighs!

Thannks everyone for congrats on my Aniversary. Have heard from two out of three children today. My son in Florida usually does not remember these kind of things unless his brothers remind him. Love him anyway.

No seriously hold me.

We all got the dreaded memo today at work. No internet, no instant messaging, no phone calls, honor the dress code ... yikes. 2 whole pages with stuff like "immediate dismissal" and "written up" highlighted every few lines.

so I immediately said bye to Ansa and got to work heh.

But I was able to keep up on my breaks and lunch and it was so exciting. Like the old days before cellstream when the enthusiastic reports and then a picture would have us swooning. Loved the blogger. LOVED.

Now off to re read...in my leisure...

Oh, and while this fandom is immensely mockable...some things aren't worth our time. But I think ya'll came to that conclusion already. Let's leave specific posts from other boards right where they are.

Man, I had the DTs for a while when I couldn't get in!

god me too. I was in the middle of posting something when the lights went out.

i am so glad the board is up again this morning. i panicked when i couldn't get on last night and thought i'd gotten myself banned.

bwah... no need to worry about that justclay.

Heee, I think it takes a lot to get banned from FCA. Colored ink is rare. You'll occasionally see stillettos or - YIKES! - sporks, however, but it's usually in fun.

Even I'm scared of the spork!!

Yes! Only more hard core! I was actually jumping up and down, cheering on the contestants! They have the worst smack talk ever! One claimed to be a spider monkey. Another is a mongoose! It's silly fun!

Dang...just when I thought he was pining for me! Now the image of the macarena has ruined everything!

And...AND!!! I went to all the trouble to copy, crop and upload that silly picture...just to discover CH has it on the front door! I could have just stolen theirs.

Oh wait...I still would have had to crop it...so what the hey....I got to play with Clay.... :hubbahubba:
