Back from a couple of days vacation. I got a chance to visit my niece and her family at her home; usually I see them for a family reunion and that's it. So, this was a good chance to visit and talk and visit and talk and have a good time. Yesterday, was my boss' wedding. She was a lovely bride and her new husband is such a good guy. What was fun with that is that at work, she's pretty straightforward, but at the reception? It was fun to watch her let loose!

Anyway, I'm back, and glad to see that Clay is having fun with his friends. I hope Merle has a happy life her with her new beau.

Gotta say...I love this board.

Welcome back ldyj. :hello: Clay sure gets around. I'm lucky to get out of the city limits for a day. Sounds like a nice trip for you. Met a friend at the gym this morning and then worked on the garage. My legs are so achey. :cry4:

All vegetables planted, yay! Had some rain yesterday and thunderstorms predicted for today. I will be doing laundry and catching up on PVRed shows. I love having Monday off, but I don't love all the freaking fireworks. Last night I had the TV up to max volume until 11 pm to mask the noise, and keep the dogs calm. Sorry, neighbours! :cryingwlaughter:

Pretty cool if Clay did sing at Merle's wedding. :twinklewhore:

Fwiw you might need to stock up on Orville Redenbachers!

And get a hard hat..I feel the ground shifting and fear the doom and gloomers will be out in full force soon.

I agree get that popcorn going, domesday is on the way.

I loved the interview, and feel he really knows his future and he has something big going to happen just can not tell yet.

Clay Aiken knows who he is and what he wants! God he is so smart, articulate and he knows I am not fickle.

I'll be waiting.

A-freakin'-men.

Raise your hand that, if you could afford it, you would take time off to fully recharge your batteries, watch your child grow up, and come back to your career fully.

*raises hand*

I think Clay knows he's incredibly lucky that he can do that, and he's made that choice. I support him 1000% for that choice.

I love hearing him talk and his thought processes. He's such a good, smart man.

I rejoice with him and in him.

treenuts, that was for you. Hee.

That was a wonderful interview. I'm ready to hear what I should have hated about it. And I'm right here waiting as long as it takes for him to relax a little and be a daddy. I hope he knows he will have to teach Parker about doing the lawn and other household chores. :cryingwlaughter: He sounded excited to lead a "normal" life for a while. Although I wonder if he is planning a UNICEF trip.

Can someone give me a run down of the interview. Still having computer sound problems.

That was amazing! Man he can talk non-stop. And freaking gorgeous too. I think he's going to do Broadway again.

ETA: Couchie, it was 25 minutes long. Where to start? He's taking a "few months" or a year off, pick one. Touring was starting to be less fun and more like work. He'd like to do another show that was fun like Spamalot but in which he also sang. He participates in talks with people about possibilities. He would love to do a Variety show. He likes living here and wants to enjoy his son, with whom he can now have a conversation.
