Same preview this site says:
Clay Aiken and Kenneth Parcell are cousins! That twist sort of wrote itself when Clay's manager called Tina Fey, but it's 30 Rock, so it's fine
.

30 Rock Preview

OMG he is too cute and he looks like he is having a real good time...IYKWIMAITYD (Sorry Clay)

Am I the only person who has absolutely no idea who Kenneth is?

Never have watched 30 Rock. Church meetings on Thursday nights & never had an interest in this show until now. I hope I will be able to know what da heck is going on.

Since I never miss 30 Rock if I can possibly help it - this is going to be such a treat!!!!!!

Clay fits right in with the snark and sarcasm, perfectly.

Tina Fey deserved every Emmy she won last year. As did Alec Baldwin.

I just wish all my favorite comedies were on the same night, on the same channel.

Flipping around channels last night, I see the AI judges have really gotten ridiculous. Maybe Fox or 19 can do a spin-off where the judges just look at random clips for 10 seconds and then spend 20 minutes babbling egotistically about them. Would be cheaper, and the judges might not even notice they were not on AI.

Or maybe they can just do those half-hour infomercials and push their faves, that is what they look like to me, maybe because I rarely watch and never watch an entire show.

Heh, I think Simon has lost track of the fact that the folks in America might vote how he wants them to, but he hasn't yet figured out how to make them actually buy the music.

So Clay asked what we do for a living? OMG, we are going to see resumes from some people, this should be a hoot!

I think he is giving busy-work or doing research.

AI snub? Bwahahah. :cryingwlaughter:

Rubbers? Bwahahahaha! Maybe OFC would censor the word condom? :cryingwlaughter:

The best part about the Mother Teresa quote blog? I believe that he believes it. He is still (and always) my hero.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeee looks like ET will show Clay tonight

QUOTE

ET was exclusively behind the scenes with producer and songwriter extraordinaire David Foster for his star-studded show in Las Vegas last week, and we've got video of Cher and Donny Osmond backstage! Plus, Clay Aiken opens up about the courageous Farrah Fawcett.

Special guests who performed at David's May 7 extravaganza at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino included Cher, Donny, Clay, Brian McKnight, Katherine Jenkins, Charice and Paul Anka.

'Hit Man: David Foster and Friends,' a one-night-only concert featuring David with Josh Groban, Katharine McPhee, Celine Dion and many more singing stars, is available on DVD now

New Montage by SueRue...Beautiful Boy Revisited:

(no need to download; just watch the video!)

Kim

aikim... Thank you... that was beautiful to watch!

Thanks for the reminder, I need to watch that beautiful video again. I just loved it the first time I watched it.

I loved his answer about teens using a rubber (how old are you, Clay???
:cryingwlaughter:
). Someone said that he was getting away from being family friendly... to me teaching teens that if you can't abstain, then having safe, protected sex is a must is pretty dang family friendly!
I read somewhere that 80% of people in prisons were from unwanted pregnancies.

When I was in high school, I happened to sit in front of the only American girl in my class. She always giggled when I asked to borrow her rubber. Then I found out why. :cryingwlaughter: (I needed her ERASER!)

Interesting about the 80% of unwanted pregnancies. If only more adoptions were encouraged, being adopted and wanted and loved is better than being with biological parents that don't have a clue.

Sorry bc (and the rest of you who can't watch until later).

Donny asks him what he's going to sing, and he talks about all the Chicago songs and that he was 4 when they came out. Donny's response is that he was 2. Hee.

Next question: how's being a Daddy? Clay says that he's now "in competition" with Parker, because nobody pays attention to him anymore! His mom and his family now all want to see the baby! But then, he realizes that it's going to be like that for the rest of his life!

Donny asks him about the Farrah Fawcett cancer thing, and Clay says that she is a very brave woman for showing us her cancer treatments, and he wishes her the best.

Donny admits that he had a Farrah poster on his wall, and that she would always be an angel to him. Clay then says, "well, you had Farrah, I had Marie." Donny: "Farrah's better." Clay does a patented belly laugh. And then it's done.

Really cute, and the rapport between the two men is really good.

Bookwhore :happybirthday01:

Some of my friends already told me that at fifty-five I ought to give up the fabrication of love-stories.

It's okay if you don't get Charice, it only matters that we get Clay..., right?

(but hey David Foster, Oprah, Ellen, Celine, Bocelli et al seem to get Charice... and I was a fan before any of them.... so :langue:

This is final exam season and I've missed every weeknight TV show for the past two weeks and this will last until -- Thursday night! (and isn't that blessedly convenient). I don't know specifically what you're referencing about the Idol judges, but I get the picture. To me, Idol will abide for a long time, but the judges and producers are in overdrive to gin up some excitement and controversy, no matter how obviously faked it is. Do they not realize we've watched them play the game for years and we're onto the scam? Never again will a genuine industry virgin take the country by storm, be the talk of the morning shows, the late shows, and the watercooler, incite an internet frenzy, and become an overnight and everlasting pop culture sensation. It's been done by the best and try as they might, it won't be repeated. Poor Idol. Glory Days aren't here again.

I love Clay walking around with Mystery Man. Was Clay eating at a Panda Express, I wonder, or just passing by? I've never actually been IN one, but drive through about once or twice a month.

I too am enjoying his easing of the language restrictions. He began with "Hell, naw" (which I remember well from The Color Purple) -- and proceeded on to being censored for "shit" as in "batshit insane" -- as in Rep. Virginia Fox. And then for "bitch" as in "once we're there ... we can bitch about how we are labelled." (What else could that censored word be?) Then he's talking rubbers -- which I haven't heard used for at least twenty-years. And old friend and co-worker introduced me to the term "dickbag" back in the 80's, and I do enjoy a descriptive appelation! Anyway, Clay is a grown ass man, and I for one am glad to see him stretching the boundaries of the OFC, if only just a bit.

ETA: Funny, I thought Donny Osmond was hobnobbing with Clay!

The CH and CV vaults, not to mention Clack Unlimited, have the 30 Rock promo up. This means our Canadian friends can see it now!

Love the eyeroll. I think he's had practice with it....
