BWAH! You made my words all dirty! Because I am a sweet, pure, angelic little individual who never ever thinks about Clay's naughty appendages...

Well what about the ones that aren't naughty but nice!

I think about all of Clay's appendages. Except the naughty ones. (Right? Riiiight!) Come on, I know I'm not alone!

I don't know much about reading palms....but in that first pic is that long line his lifeline..hmmmmm

I sure hope so........relates to a lot of Clay stuff, long fingers, long toes, long tongue, long.........whatever comes to mind, and now I'm long gone. :whistling-1:

Can't believe I came out of lurking to post that....it was a long day at work...that's my story and I;m sticking to it.

:loveclaysbutt:

By the way I got a google alert today that said Jordin Sparks was dropped from her label. Is that really true? I thought she was doing well....so much for what I know.

According to an HDD blurb about a week ago, Jordin was dropped by her management team, 19E, but is still with Jive Rocords and 19R.

THE SPARKS ARE GONE: Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment has terminated its management relationship with Jordin Sparks. The 19 Recordings label will continue as Jordin’s record company with its joint venture partner, Jive Records. (11/20p)

I just googled and I can't find anything to indicate that she was dropped by her label. Do you have a link by any chance?

On topic, I'm all for Clay's long things. :naughtywag:

Okay, wth is everybody? I'm in a crappy mood right now so feel free to scroll. I just got an email from one of those ex-Clay fans explaining to me all about how they cannot condone Clay's behavior, blah blah blah. How do they excuse theirs, is what I want to know. And no, I'm not patient like Clay so my response was not pleasant. Been reading too many idiot posts on political boards from anti-gay and anti-gay marriage people and it has put me in a foul mood.

I'd tell the bitch to bugger off. I'm sick to death of the anti-gay bigoted bullshit. I had my fill of it prior to the election when we were bombarded with hate ads for Proposition 8. My one consolation with Clay's ex-fans is that they are no loss.

(God, I'm so glad I didn't promise to give up swearing!)

I just wanna chime in on this. Its been a real struggle for me too and quite an eye opener as well. I have a few "friends" who I once thought did love Clay for who he is, but now judge him or "love him differently" whatever the heck that means. Well, its their loss because Clay is the kindest man with the biggest heart and I pity anyone who has thrown that away for no good reason. I just don't have time for that kind of ignorance in my life. I love Clay. Period. No strings.

And I would add to this.... why are they still talking about him/it, if they are so against him/it? It's so.... yesterday. Really folks - if you don't/won't/can't support him - why are you still here??? Who, exactly, are you trying to convince? Methinks they doth protest too much. Whatever - I have zero tolerance or compassion for them. And if you are my friend, you won't speak ill of someone I so clearly admire to me. Pretty please, just FOAD.

You know what? I am SO not into personal stuff on the boards, but shhstuff like this just makes me want to share my day today. Today, for the first time in 25+ years, I went to school. Thanks in large part to the the things I've learned from being a Clay fan, and in no small measure thanks to the inspiration of a certain tall, lanky sometimes-redheaded singer, I am now a full-time student, enrolled in a diploma program for Graphic Art and Web Design. I was never able to pursue a post-secondary education after highschool - and then a pesky little need to eat has kept me in a dead-end workforce ever since. Today, I hope, I started on a new path. Thanks, Clay.

I'm back from my Spamming and a great, fun and COLD weekend in NY with my Lurker Friend!

Not much to add to the recaps except I thought Clay was clearly annoyed at the peasant waving at him constantly - which was distracting to what was going on onstage. I do not think he was amused.

The audience was mostly NJUs but were very responsive to the entire show - just like it should be. Our seats were 10th row dead center and this may be my favorite vantage point. Its close enough to see Clay but far enough away to see the entire play. It is such a great show with so much going on at any one time and so much talent up on that stage its really a waste to just concentrate all your attention to one person. When you're in the first or second row, that's what you tend to do.

I still do not like the new king at all. He has improved a bit since I saw him in October but he just doesn't have the warmth and chemistry with the others that Jonathan did (IMO of course). I loved Jonathan being the straight man. I loved that there seemed to be a connection between his King and the knights. I believed he could fall in love with the LOTL and she with him and I especially loved his obvious affection for Patsy. I felt all those elements made this crazy show richer. This king just seems like a caricature. Now, I know this is Monty Python, but amongst all the silliness, each character seems to be oddly real. You see personalities and emotions and even some depth. That is what lifts this play from just being a bunch of empty weird jokes. To me the king just doesn't have what it takes. I don't honestly know if I had never seen the show before if he would bother me so much (although I suspect his mumbling and swallowing his lines which makes him hard to understand at times would bother me regardless), but I did see another king and I very much prefer him.

Merle seemed a bit better but while beautiful and while she has a wonderful voice, there is just something missing. I saw Emily Tsu once as the LOTL and that is still my favorite Lady, then Hannah and then Merle. Again, she just doesn't seem to have the connections.

But still, this show is such a joy. It lifts your spirits and makes you laugh and for a short time there are no problems in your life or in the world! I love it so much - and I will miss it.

Speaking of which, the sign on the wall at the theater still says its closing Jan. 18th. Now, I get that changing that HUGE one at Time Square (next to a picture of Ace in Grease - that boy certainly is fine to look at....) might be hard to edit, but the one at the theater? Someone could just take a magic marker and cross out the '18' and write in '11'!

I didn't do the picture thing - despite the bargain basement price of $40. I might have, oddly enough, if Rick or Tom or David had been with Clay in the picture. But I just didn't feel the urge to get my 2 seconds with Clay as Sir Robin. That picture would have been a Spamalot memory and to me, Spamalot is about more that just Clay. One of the recaps said they were lined up all the way up the aisle. That wasn't quite true. I would say they were lined up at least half way up the aisle with new people joining them as they went on. There were a lot of people and boy did they move fast! It was just fun to watch the whole thing! At times it looked like Clay had to force his smile - almost like he was getting tired of smiling!

**Sigh** Guess that's it until January. And then it will be all gone!! :cry4:

Heheh. And I'm willing to pay $100 to BC/EFA to have a picture of Clay holding a sign with my name on it. Different strokes, huh??? :hahaha:

Has this been posted? Another eBay auction item for BC/EFA.

There are 27 remaining tickets for the conversation with Clay on Saturday. That means over $14,000.00 so far - fabulous!!!

cindilu, CONGRATS on going back to school!! WTG, girl!!

I'm glad you had a good time at Spam, CG. Thanks for the recap! It is sad that Spam will be over in January. The beginning of the year seems to be racing here - it's already almost the end of November!!

I'm eager to find out what Clay might have up his sleeve for his next adventure. I miss him, since I haven't been able to go to Spam the second go-around. He may take a break for awhile, but sooner or later there will be more news about what's up next!

My day will come, my day will come, my day will come................I have to keep believing it. I would give anything to have the opportunity for any sort of a photo op with Clay, especially one that is within my limited budget. It's hard to read about others who don't feel the same way. Que sera, sera. To each his/her own I guess.

2 and a half more weeks until I get to head back to NYC! :lilredani::dancingpickle:

Congratulations for going back to school. Clay was my inspiration to go back to school too and hopefully by the end of next year I will actually graduate and become an elementary school teacher. I have a lot to thank Clay for. Wish I had wandacleo's gift for getting to the point with a minimum of words but besides all the um's and uh's, and stuttering, I still couldn't do it in less than 500 words or so. I had to work hard to keep some of my class reflections to one page so I didn't get the evil eye from my teacher again.

Cindilu Congratulations!!!! Five years from now, you're going to be 5 years older whether you go to school or not. You are CHOOSING to be 5 years older and better educated/skilled instead of just more wrinkled! I think that's so great!
