KAndre
I always read the thread after the chat is over - moves a little too fast in real time.
Claygasm
This is a song really didn't like at QVC nor during my first listen when I was half asleep but when I sat down and listened for real I surprised myself by really liking it. Now I can't get it out of my head!
laljeterfan
WOOOHOOOO! LOVE this one! When I first heard the snippet, I thought it had a country vibe to it, but after feeling the whole thing I don't feel that any more. There's something familiar about this song, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what it is. Love the echo on the 2nd verse.
ldyjocelyn
A couple of things for me with this song: 1) I find the lyrics to this song heartbreaking -- not being open enough, or not afraid, to let someone in to their heart. 2) This is the song that I find myself singing more often than not. 3) I think this would make a great radio single. Better than Ashes. *ducks* I've loved reading that this is one of the bigger songs for Clay on iTunes.
annabear
Are we on WIDTL? This is one I like but it hasn't grown on me yet. I don't like the chorus---too much like "When You SAy You Love Me" from MOAM and I do NOT like that song...too country-ish. This is just an okay song for me...I'll see if anybody's analysis or observations can make me feel or hear something to ratchet it up a notch... Wow! I don't get that feel from it at all! I can't explain why, but this one seems to pull me in.
jamar1700
The lyrics to this are interesting. I'm falling frm the world I used to know Been trying to hold on To something for so long ~~ I'll hold on to forever Still I'm stuck in yesterday I'm closer than ever to the edge I feel as if this song is about his struggle to keep his old pre-celeb life but yet he knows he's moved past that. And that means a certain loneliness and a feeling of being in a free fall. He so desperately wants to hold on to his old life where he feels safe and loved, but he can't. Yep...same vibe. But Touch? Just. No.

jmh123
I have hit replay on Fallin so many times it ain't funny. I have always thought it was about holding on to the past while still trying to survive in the present - never thought suicide at all! Living in this new world and trying to understand/grasp it, yet not quite letting go of what used to be . . the celebrity the anonymity of teaching two completely different worlds. Must be even more crazy than we can imagine! Nicely said.

cagney1950
WIDTL is my absolutely favorite song on this album...I fell in love with it on QVC even with the crack on "kiss". I think it is the pefect song. Love every verse, chorus, and the refrain at the end really, really rocks...." Love the sentiment to this song. This one I really listen to the words. It seems to fit the Clay he has let us see. I think he really has a great pop voice on this song. Many great sounds on this song.
muskifest
My favorite part of this song is the bridge Either you're gonna rescue me Or you're gonna be the death of me.... Yep...like both the words AND the sound And then right afterwards he actually has a mini-glory note! And then there's that out-of-tune upright piano ending the song! Ansamcw
Are we one WIDTL now...cos I really love this. I love the beginning ...very gentle...and you think its all this lovey dovey love song...then bang, its about ahving a hard time trusting someone in a relationship...very complex really I love the melody...its pretty simple but very catchy,
ldyjocelyn
Gibby, is this one of the songs with the out-of-tune piano? I think it is. I simply love that wailed note he does at the end. That's a "that IS Clay Aiken" moment for me.

duckyvee
This one makes me a little sad. I like it, though. It's up there in the top half for me.
playbiller
Thisis a pop song. I see it as someone about to break and let someone in. He just needs her to knock some sense into him. He knows he is going to do it.
FearofH2O
Is this the out of tune piano? I'll never overcome being such a slow typist. Love his falsetto at the end. He has really become a master at it. The story teller can't commit to a relationship. Having two sons I'm very familiar with this syndrome. luckiest1
WIDTL This one has been a favourite of mine since the Slovenian snippets hit. And then the QVC performance sealed the deal. I think maybe this is one of the ones that Clay can identify with. But what do I know. I think in an interview he made reference to not trusting so easily now, and even said something about business relationships as well as personal relationships. Does anyone remember that? I like the line something beautiful brings on the pain alot. I love when he wails on "one too many tiiiiiiiimes". Took me a few listens to hear what sounds like a heartbeat right at the end as it fades out. Cool.

atinal
I like the "either you're gonna rescue me, or you're gonna be the death of me line" and the song is growing on me with each play
Cotton
I haven't seen the big blue where i draw the line Are we on it now? 6 where i draw the line Slow entry - building to a bit uptempo. I like the guitar percussion that kind of drives the beat. Yes, it’s another I’m Afraid to Love kind of song. But the lyric shows what we all feel at sometime in our life - we hope the object of our affection is going to take that extra step that we’re afraid to take. Favorite lines - might be my favorite from the album . . .either you’re gonna resuce me or you’re gonna be the death of me . . . You definitely hear the “cry” in his voice on this one. But - it’s fear of taking the next step - it’s not a death knell. You’re left with hope, I think. Love the piano ‘tink’ at the end. PS I lived this song when DH and I met. I was recently divorced and was so afraid to trust my feelings. I had been in love before. I thought. But the marriage didn’t survive. What if I believed in love again and the same thing happened??! Love this one. I’m glad DH made me believe!
