Elvis Costello's Spectacle has already aired on the Sundance channel and will be re-broadcast on CTV starting April 3.

How's this for a little speculation, a little "I wish this would happen"? Clay meets with Elvis on 30 Rock and Elvis decides invite Clay to be a guest on his next series of interviews...if there is a next series.

I've been waiting for James Beman to post his Spamalot blog from Atlanta and he finally did tonight. biggrin2.gif

Here is the Clay part:

Quote:

Our opening night was made a bit more special than usual by a visit from none other than Clay Aiken. Clay drove six hours in order to see his good friend Merle Dandridge, with whom he performed in "Spamalot" on Broadway. I admit that when I heard he was out front, I got a couple butterflies; one always feels that extra scrutiny from another performer who has played the same part. But turnabout is fair play--I got to see Clay perform when I was in New York last fall-- and I was actually delighted to show him my take on Sir Robin. He stopped back stage after the performance and was very complimentary to me. It was nice to see him again, and what a good friend he is to come and see his buddy Merle strut her stuff.

Well, Liney and Muski and anyone else who looked at that pic of the 16 year old X Factor finalist, apparently the explanation is that the bulge was an Irish flag that he had "stored" down his pants so that he could whip it out for his final song. Sounds like an Irish joke to me, but hilarious!

Am I the only one who's never seen that photoshop before? Hee, me likey.

Nope you are not the only one. Photoshop is scary.. no longer can a picture tell a thousand words because no longer can we readily know if it ever was a real picture...

They played an Idol trivia game at the casino. The guy asked who won season 2 and the women answered Clay Aiken.

She won :) Forgot what the prize was.

There is a DVD scene it Idol. I still like the show. Sometimes. I don't think it is fixed but I do think they have a contestant or 2 that the producers want to win so they try to give them advanges (with interviews or Simon favoring them ect....).

I have liked people in each season but only really love Clay. It is neat to watch someone become a superstar.

Lotus

thanks for that blog. Wonder how it is to watch the show after you have been in it?

Right now and I listening to Right Here Waiting from Golfing for Inclusion. I just love how Clay interprets this song in this performance and in the Gala. I always skip it when listening to ATDW but this live version is just so much better. i don't think it is just about being nearly acoustic. Is it in a different key?

I'm sure one of our more musically inclined members can answer that question for you. All I know about Right Here Waiting is that it is my favourite song from ATDW, it is the highest played song on my iPod at 93 plays, out of 5670 songs. The next one only has 69 plays (Every Time You Go Away). AND I sobbed through the whole thing when he sang it in Raleigh at the CFC Gala. Hee, I guess you could say I kinda like it.

How cool that Clay drove all that way to see Merle. He's a great friend.

Last night we went bowling (first time for me in probably 10 years). Towards the end of the second game, I got a strike! I only missed breaking the hundred by 2 pins......which is a far cry from my 55 average from 10 years ago. :hahaha:

Good Morning Everyone:

I met my husband on a blind date and we went bowling; I had not bowled much before that and I think my first game I bowled a 35! We had a good laugh over that and apparently he didn't hold it against me because we have been married for 27 years. We have been bowling pretty much our whole married life on leagues and even though my average is only 127, I still have a good game now and then. I have bowled one 200 game; but the best is those rare times when I actually beat hubby!

7 Days until Clay presents Tyra with her GLAAD Award! :yahoo:

10 Days until Playlist: The Very Best of Clay Aiken is available!

:yahoo:

18 Days until Judge Aiken is holding Court on ANTM!

:yahoo:

54 Days until Clay is Rockin' 30 Rock!

:yahoo:

Everyone have a great day!

Are y'all talking in code here? When I still listened to the radio (years ago), it was a "family show" and so people would talk about "going bowling last night" instead of, uh, other things. Nowadays, DJ's say things right out but I guess that makes sense. What's the point in beating around the bush if the songs you play have all the words in them anyway.

Personally, I find the level of innuendo from the cute guy a lot more exciting.

I may be alone in the fandom on this one but I don't have any non-professional recordings of Clay's on my ipod.

Yes, I honestly prefer the album versions.

So please don't flood me with a ton of recommendations. :cryingwlaughter:

"Playing with the wood"! :lipstick:

I started watching AI season 4. Stopped after season 6. Started again this year, and stopped again...already. I think of it as just another set of initials, you know.....AI, PH, JP, BS... :whistling-1:

claytonic your signature cracks me up! :hahaha:

I don't have any good innuendo from Clay... I thought when he was talking to Jesse and saying "I don't care how good you are with your little wand..." was funny though!

I'm curious about something so I'm going to ask y'all heavy-duty Clack-gatherers. Is there some way to store, say, an iTunes library on an external hard drive rather than on the computer's hard drive? If so, I suppose I'd need to plug the external in whenever I wanted to sync up my iPod, right? It's not a pressing need, but my library keeps growing steadily and it's basically the only thing taking up space on my computer. The rest of my stuff is all word documents and things like that that take up virtually nothing.

ETA: Oooh, look, I'm on top! What a fun place to be. :sleezy:

So many choices! :P I'll have to think on this one. Better yet, I'll have to listen to/watch some clack to "remind" myself... ICG.gif

anna... I have a friend who grew her hair and then lopped it off for something like Locks of Love out here in LA. She said it was so worth the hassle of growing it out. It's a great thing to do.

Well, in Sterling Heights, when Clay said Angela would give it to him later... that was pretty funny.

liney!!!!!....OMG...this is sooooo weird. I just came back to my hotel room for a break and was going to come on here and post the same question you did about moving iTunes to an external drive!

Our home computer has a small hard drive and the two daughters' iTunes libraries are making it s-l-o-w (t/m Clay at Pala)...With their 16 and 8 gig collections, their extensive iPhoto libraries and tv show downloads, and the various other space-hog applications...our poor little 40gb drive just can't deal anymore!

Oh...and one of my favorite naughty bits from Clay was actually something he said in "sotto voce"--in Pala after the discussion with Artquest about Flat Clay and she'd told him that she folded him and put him in her trunk, the music started for the next song. While everyone was still laughing, etc., he looked over to Quiana and mouthed, "It's a fold"...and just kept grinning.

CMSU! :cryingwlaughter::hahaha:

I loved the look on his face as he said those words.

This morning..sun is shining, garden clean up to be done and what do I start doing? I started watching Clack which I had burned to CD's..that was before I learned how to do DVD's.

I downloaded a lot of this in small format which I'd now like to get in a larger format and cannot find.

Does anyone know where I can find 03.07.15_TRL_TITN_BackstagePass?

MTV-TRL Backstage Pass TITN (via Clack Unlimited)

Downloadable in SVCD, large wmv, and small wmv.

I remember this clip well, because it was my introduction to the technology known as codecs. I downloaded the clip and it wouldn't play, because it said I needed a new codec. WTF is a codec? Now I at least know how to get them, even if I can't explain the concept!

jamar, while I do have concert Clay on my iPod, the playlist I use most is my "best of Clay recorded" -- all from the actual recordings.

I think my favorite instances of Clay innuendo was whenever he asked people with binoculars to keep it from the waist upward. LOL!

Did anyone watch the TV Guide Channel last night around 9 p.m. Kimberly and Justin were doing a recap of the Idol show last week and then they did a segment on past Idols what are they doing now? Clay was the second one they did. They had the picture of Clay up there from his album a Thousand Different Ways and said that he was going to be on 30 Rock and they showed a small clip of the show with Tina Fey. I think that it was Kimberly that said Clay is doing a lot of acting lately. Then they put the picture back up said that he would be a presenter at the GLADD awards show and he would be presenting an award to his friend Tyra Banks. They showed a picture of Tyra and Kimberly said, I didn't know they were friends and Justin said yes, they are. That was the end of it. I think that is about all that was said, it caught me by surprise. Did anyone else see it or capture it? It was a nice mention.

*nuts slaps Kimberme upside the head*

I found Solo's Frisco tapes this morning -- I didn't tell her that the real reason I hadn't rendered them was because I didn't know where they were. Will be sending them to CH/CV/CU later this evening but for those who are in a hurry, these are mp4's and XviD's. Please check the time stamps and get only the files that haven't changed in the last 5 minutes, as I'm still uploading. Enjoy!
