Not to be a pest, but...

Just a reminder for those that are on Facebook...that there is a TBAF page on Facebook. In the last few days, this has become an official TBAF page (originally started by a fan) as Aron has joined and become an admin/officer.

He plans on making it more current and getting involved on Facebook. I think it could be a really good tool for them.

If anyone is unsure how to find it, just PM me and I'll issue an invitation on Facebook for you.

add 10 points because I did not like Tears Run Dry

Yes, this post brought to you by sarcasm'r'us, just keep on reading, I needed to vent a wee bit...then I will be googling around to see what the fuck Lucinda Williams is doing. I buy all her CDs and I love her and she never writes, she never calls.....sniff.

No need for rebuttals or whatever, I know everyone is different and fandom means different things to everyone. Truly I do. But some days the happy part of being a fan just gets suuuucked out the window (fear of flying joke) when I read fan boards. So I get a bit bitchy and then I feels MUCH better!

Jamar but first I'm dying from laughter... I wrote that then went to check my guide to see what time everything started... but the Road to the Superbowl was already on. Had to LOL.

Superbowl, pooperbowl! :imgtongue: I've got the Ghost Hunters marathon on for now and then will be watching the Puppybowl with the Kitty half-time show tonight! :hahaha: Haven't paid much attention to football since Joe Montana & Jerry Rice were leading the SF 49ers.

I saw that message that Aron is now an admin for the TBAF Facebook page, Claygary. I agree that it could be a great tool! :clap:

I watch the Super Bowl for the Ads, and the halftime show. While nothing will top U2 in 2002, I think Springsteen will put on a good show.

Awww....Clay and Reed went to see Brad. Good for both of them.

Can I join cindilu in the Snoopy Dance of Joy over this? And yeah, add the disclaimer for me too. LOL.

The Superbowl is only important to me becoss son #1 was born in the middle of it in 1988. All the doctors were crowded into the waiting room to watch, and when I had complications with the delivery, a specialist was right there in the nick of time to save the day. :clap: Son #1 turned 21 yesterday. Oh how the time flies........

After some birthday celebrations, about 1,257 rounds of Wii dodgeball & bowling, a few laps of the outdoor rink on figure skates, and a good hour of snowball fights and snowman building, my mom, daughter, niece & SIL have gone back to Toronto for the week. Heh, I'm spent. I need quiet time. Here's a pic we snapped for y'all before they left. (Clickable so you can read the shirt!)

When does the pregame start?

Bwah! Here in Tampa, it is All Super Bowl All The Time -

Example of BREAKING NEWS!!!!! - the Lingerie Bowl was canceled because people who lived near the proposed site objected to the unseemly display of skin. Those mean people questioned the intent of the sporting event, saying that they didn't think it was really a sporting event.

So a nudist resort offered to host the Lingerie Bowl - but then some of the scantily-clad participants quit because they were horrified at possibly playing football whilst clad only in wispy undies in front of old people who might be unattractively nekkid.

I would not have been surprised to switch to a local channel and see reporters huddled in front of Raymond James Stadium, talking quite seriously about whether there would be Dijon mustard available for hot dogs, or just the regular bright yellow kind, and see a crawl at the bottom of the screen announcing a meteor was going to strike Earth next Wednesday, obliterating large parts of the planet.

First things first.

I do wish to report that I went to the Publix on Boyette Road yesterday and I did not see P. Diddy.

That is the extent of my on-the-scene Super Bowl reportage.

I'll update y'all if I run into Bruce Springsteen at the Hess station.

There is actually a poll at the OFC in the blog thread to see how many fans are renewing...so far the yes votes are leading at 48%. I don't know how many people have actually voted.

Whew, it was a marathon just to get caught up! I didn't realize it had been almost two days since I was last here.

LOVE the banner! It does my heart good to see Clay looking soooo happy.

On that topic, the 'Smile' montage gave me the ICG X 100000!

And I got a huge kick out of the 87 year old woman dancing the salsa. Way to go! I wanna dance with that guy!

Heeee, djs, I very much enjoyed your snark. But I'm not using no big stinkin' calculator. I already know I'm sticking around for Clay, so this is what I'm going to use instead:

I'm not into football, either. I'll probably nap today, and later on go work out. The gym will likely be pretty quiet - more machines for me! Yay! I feel so much better after a good workout. Especially if I eat a whole chocolate bar at once. :)

I just read your cute recap. Just wanted to add one thing...the dessert table was right next to where Clay was sitting soooo if you sauntered very casually over to get a yummy piece of pie for the third fourth or fifth time you could see him texting first hand.

Well I am renewing (with prejudice, lol), but I wouldn't give the pollster's the satisfaction of a response. Haven't participated in one since the 'which ATDW song sucks the most' days. Yes, I am bitter. Why do you ask? :cryingwlaughter:

For the record, I really do think the fanclub management is awful, and that Clay is and should be ultimately responsible for it. I always have felt that the head of Team Clay is Clay. I hope that they reconsider what they are offering for the price of membership, because they have not really lived up to the spirit of their promises, even if they lived up to the letter of it. I have a feeling that if the man himself was paying for something he wasn't getting, he'd be the first one to bitch about it. Hopefully the concerns are addressed before the 'new' renewal date. If anybody from Team Clay is reading - I'd pay extra to join if you'd only do away with the message board portion. One way communication would be jussssssst fine by me.

All that said, I'm renewing because I enjoy knowing I'm 'official' and so that I can read the blogs first hand. The rest really is just gravy (or in the case of the message board, arsenic).

I'm renewing but not voting in any stinkin poll. This is my protest against the not joining protesters. I'm sure they want it to go a certain way so :drama: I'm giving it to them as a gift. :cryingwlaughter:

I guess I'd better clean a little as a friend is coming over to watch the game with my husband and partake of a little wine. I'll be on my laptop and pretend I'm enjoying the game.
