heee

and you know what..it's so funny but yes Mr. pop star IS an actor. Can't wait to see what they will be "acting out." And we're on page 69 but I know of absolutely no way to turn that to smut :cryingwlaughter:

Don't understand being embarassed for what other people do. I find it a waste of time but it has no bearing on me whatsoever. I actually think it's funny that any of this made the "paper."

also, he may have been over exagerating, because there were 10 comments and one mentioned clay being allergic to shellfish..so it wasnt like he had a huge ammounts, and its annoying but honestly it happens about everyone, especially idol contestants..but the haters and defenders are out there for everyone, I remember when alysia milano did the yahoo questions thing, her comments were horrible...does it make it ok? no...but it isnt just a clay problem, where there is comment sections there will be comments :)

speaking of acting out and smut...

actually what im gonna say has really nothing to do with any of that, but I read somewhere in Arizona during the super bowl right when the cardinals got ahead, 30 seconds of a pornographic movie played.

Love that new emoticon.

Where do you find all these cool emoticons? If it is on that HUGE, HUMUNGOUS list to the left of this screen...I'll never find it. Some of the things on that list only have a number...duh...are they special?..haven't had a chance to try them all out yet. That will take me eons....maybe longer. :whistling-1:

So much to learn but so little time because I'm always playing catch-up with the posts. Not complaining, mind you...just sayin' I'm s-l-o-w...............I guess. :hello:

If you look at the top of the box that has some of the emoties in it, and click on the words Show All, it opens another window with a buttload of emoticons. The list seems to get longer and longer and there are really a lot of cool ones... of course, I forget what's there half the time so don't use them as much...

some cute ones: :headbangerf: :seesaw::highfive:

Sadly, this was me this morning: :zero2bitch: I'm better now... :whew:

Yep full frontal male nudity just as the Cardinals got ahead.

I get what your saying Couchie and perhaps I just haven't gotten inured yet the idiocy of some so called Clay fans. Of course, getting embarrassed is a waste of time but it was still my immediate reaction...right now..not so much.

For any of you on PST, PBS has an hour tribute to George Carlin...The Mark Twain Award. On right now and repeating on Detroit PBS at 230am.

From NYMom4Clay at the CB:

QUOTE

Well, he was on my TV just now - sorta.

Fox 5 news in NY just did their Idol update. The 1st story was about David Cook touring colleges but the 2nd one was about Clay's upcoming appearance on Top Model. Toni Senecal was reporting and she mentioned that he has acting cred because he was just on Broadway. They had one of the vids from ATDW playing in the background. I think it was WY, but I won't swear to it.

Good morning.

No itunes alert for me. I'm still trying to get this computer back to normal and haven't worked on itunes yet. I've been reloading the data for each software folder one at a time. :hangin:

Looking forward to The Tyra show. I watched one or two shows in the past. I'm just burned out on shows where they get hysterical and mean to each other. Reality shows other than cooking shows. Can't stop me from eating.

Have a great day. I'm back to doing taxes in the library so see you all tonight. :wordpooper:

Clay on America's Next Top Model? Yay!

But...remind me...how far back is the splash zone? Brain matter stains, y'all.

In addition, special guest judges will appear to critique within his or her area of expertise

What would Clay's be?

Hair of course!

I am a concert whore
. I was going to concerts before Clay was even born.
:P
I can't begin to list them all......the artist I had seen the most times in concert, before Clay, was probably Paul McCartney a couple of times, or maybe Elton John a couple of times. I am going to see David Cassidy this Friday with some friends. I just love live music, always have.

Moi << Former Concert-Whore.

Lemmesee ...Bette Midler, Peter Allen, Sammy Davis Jr, Don Mclean, John Denver, Bob Dylan, Cher, Abba, Tina Turner, The Village People, Hall and Oates, Liza Minnelli, Boz Scaggs, Peter Frampton, Jane Olivor, Chicago, The Beach Boys, Janis Ian, plus a couple more.

My favorites were Bette M, Sammy D, Peter A, saw them all more than once, some more than twice. I couldn't believe it when Bette named her only child "Sophie", I can still hear her voice saying "Soph!" on stage. :cryingwlaughter: Chicago was brilliant too, as was Liza Minnelli. With the exception of ABBA and the first Tina Turner (with Ike) concert, I nearly always had house seats. Didn't like Peter Frampton at all, and a couple of others were forgettable too. Don McLean performed at the Opera House, and he told the audience the ticket price was outrageous (paraphrasing, I can't remember exactly what he said) so he intended to make sure they got their money's worth. He gave the longest encore I have EVER experienced. Some of the audience tip-toed out because it just went on and on and on! What a relief when he took a final bow!

Also saw Bette Davis and Bob Hope. They didn't sing but entertained their adoring audience, and Bette D, who was my favorite actress, took questions from the audience. Actually Bob Hope did sing "Thanks for the Memory". Also saw a ton of musicals, Oz productions of JC Superstar, Hair, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Joseph ..gosh I can't remember the rest. The Harlem Ballet was memorable. Also, heaps of small theatre productions, too many to recount.

The worst concert I have ever been to was something called The Barbarians. They were a band made up of the key musicians from The Rolling Stones (I think) and a couple of other high profile bands, without the lead singer. I can't remember though which ones but I am almost sure the Stones was one of them but can't swear by it. I saw them in L.A. and hated every second of it. I would have left early except that I was someone's guest in their country. It was pure agony.

Sadly, I never got to see Michael Jackson in his hey-day, something I regret. Of course, I've also never seen Clay Aiken live and even that may never happen. While it isn't important to me now to see a live act, after watching so many videos of Clay in concert, I think I would like to experience it just once so that I know what y'all are talkin' 'bout! I am not an autograph or merchandise collector, which is why I love the net so much. I can experience something (magazine articles, pics etc) without having to find a place to store it, other than on a hard drive! See, I borrowed LTS from the library, but bought the audio and e-book. I have both audio books, one with Clay reading and the longer version with someone else reading. The e-book has all the pics that the hardcopy does. (I did, however, always buy programs).

When you live a 15 minute drive from a major city, you usually have the best entertainment at your fingertips. That was back then, I no longer live in Sydney and rarely attend anything these days because I don't like the city anymore. I don't even like the movies, I prefer to listen to music, which I can do whether I am doing the laundry or at the beach. People are amazed to find I haven't seen the movies EVERYONE else has been to! I think I am the only person I know who has never seen any of the Star Wars! I just happen to prefer the movie era that produced the likes of Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart. I don't like violence and I don't like borderline pornography, which is what so many movies are now.

See this thread about eggs frying on the ground in Oz while at your end, people are killed by ice-storms.

Actually, Southern Australia (which includes Melbourne) is where people are sweltering and battling fires and desperate for rain, while north east of Australia, they are dealing with serious floods. Just crazy.

Why any idiots think Clay Aiken's 15 minutes (times 5,698,243) is over is beyond me... HEADLINES every time he does anything anywhere. :cryingwlaughter: I check in to Google this morning and find mulitple blogs, articles about the Baltimore shellfish controversy and his appearance on ANTM. AND, neither of them say anything about his personal life. Life is good!

I saw Bob Hope and the Smothers Brothers on campus when I was in college. Saw Kenny Rodgers and Sawyer Brown together with my then hubbie. Next concert I went to was to take my oldest DGS to see nSync and enjoyed it so much I went to another concert of the same show by myself. I was in a row with young girls and they were amazed that I could sing along to all the songs. :cryingwlaughter:

Then there was Clay! That's my concert history.

Gibby... thanks for all the pretties!!! GAH!!! That jump started me this morning!

I used to keep a list of my concerts.....wonder where it is now? :P

Off the top of my head, I've seen KC and the Sunshine Band (that was for you KAndre), Bay City Rollers (twice), Elton John (multiple times), Paul McCartney (multiple times), Ringo Starr (twice), Rolling Stones (1978, when they were still good IMO), Burton Cummings, the Guess Who, Amanda Marshall (multiple times), Cher (twice), Keith Urban, America, Chuck Berry, Donovan, David Cassidy, Backstreet Boys (with my daughter), Phil Collins, Rod Stewart (multiple times), Barry Manilow, Cindi Lauper (who opened for Cher).....I'm sure more will come to mind later. Oh yeah, and that Clay Aiken guy about 40+ times. :cryingwlaughter:

actually I lied...I saw avalon, big daddy weave and the begining of Jars Of Clay....I left during Jars of Clay because it was a big christian festival, and I was toward the front and everyone was crowded around, there was no aisleway or place to walk and they were so loud I almost had a panic attack..but avalon was good lol

Tyra had a verra random Clay mention on her show this morning. Nothing about ANTM. She was with a rapper (TI) who is a former felon and about to go to jail again, so why wouldn't Clay's name come up, right? LOL! Anyway, they were talking about whether this guy has the right to vote, and she said she was just talking about this issue with her friend, Clay Aiken, and they flashed a very nice pic of him on screen. Very brief, but cute. So, apparently Clay and Tyra sit around having intellectual conversations about voting regulations. Gotta love it!
