Oh - the eHPers ate at the Culinary Academy. Like Couchie, we used to have Christmas luncheons there. It was about a 4 block walk from the data center where I worked. On Fridays they have buffets and the food is to die for!!! And you can see the cooks through windows all around the dining room. I'm so glad they ate there....what an experience. I think it was a promo deal maybe the first year after AI. I can't even remember the bank that issued it. I remember they turned me down because I had too much credit available to me......I had 2 cards with no balances and high limits. What a bogus excuse....like I'm going to buy a house with my credit cards!

What...I just talked to ya'll on the phone and you didn't mention where you ate. I have many connections at the Culinary Academy. It's a place we had our company Xmas party every year (when I worked in the city) and when one of my old companies went bankrupt half of my fellow co-workers ended up there and I almost did as well but I didn't really want the position they had availalbe. I'd be 300 pounds if I worked there hee.

couchie!!! can't wait till you get here at 6am tomorrow/jk. we were giggling at the conversation today where you kept starting out to ask "so what time... er... so where... uh... but when..." and finally said "oh, forget it. I'll show up at your hotel when I show up". Don't you just love the way we live by our guidelines?!! This afternoon, we decided that a Sunset Cruise was too snooty for our tastes and instead took the local ferry to Tiburon and Sausalito. At Sausalito, we found a neat Farmer's Market with the sweetest fruit around -- KAndre and I bought bags of plums and blackberries, even with the knowledge that we'd have to lug them around for the rest of the evening (see pics in the member area). There was a cute toy&game shop in Sausalito where KAndre and I co-bought a game called "Dirty Minds". We're all going to play it tomorrow! We then had sushi in a little place over there called Sushi Ran -- the grilled Shiitake mushrooms were yummy. Solo was v. tired since she flew in after midnight and so she was knocking glasses off the table, ending up drenching PerusingOne's pants with KAndre's Bellini. We boarded the ferry back to SF just at sunset so we ended up having a "Sunset Cruise" at a special price (see pic in the member area). I closed the day with an ice cream cone from the Pier and we're now in our hotel room with our respective laptops, catching up with FCA. Missing you!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Plus the angst drives me nuts! Usually a rumor or bit of news catches my interest in the beginning, but I'm just not all that interested for very long. I have to admit I mulled over the baby rumor a bit more than usual - plus it's one of the few things I've been asked about. Mostly I'm dismayed the "People" is taken as an authority by friends who should know better. At least they ask, though, so I can say that nothing has been confirmed.

I am looking forward to whatever is next, and SO missing a summer tour. The Cali Four-fer was a fantastic trip all around. Hoping for Christmas.

Last night one of my friends brought her almost eighty year old mom along because she didn't want to stay home alone. During a lull in the conversation her mom brought up how terrible it was that Angelina and Brad were taking bids on their babies pictures. I asked if she knew that they were donating it to a charity. She said yes but wasn't that greedy? Just shows how people spit back what they hear without even thinking.

Turns out that the mom's favorite show is AI as well as the entertainment shows. Hey I used to watch the Apprentice so who am I to talk. Can't stand Trump so i no longer watch it.

I've never seen any indication that Clay views YWT as a mistake. I think it was important to him to include it at the time. This was before he did the initial JNT and before he knew he'd be doing one every year. I've always seen his JNT's as that kind of outlet for him.

One poster's discussion always seems to be another poster's agenda. Just sayin'. Agenda is a word that has a very negative connotation on the boards and I don't think throwing it around is a good way to have productive discussion. JMO. I was reading poster's having a discussion about having a discussion, which to me is sometimes a healthy necessity in a community.
